Biden pledges nearly $3 billion to Ukraine in largest U.S. military aid package yet
U.S. President Joe Biden has announced nearly $3 billion in new U.S. military aid for Kyiv as Ukraine marked its independence day six months after Russia invaded the country. Biden said in a statement on August 24: "On behalf of all Americans, I congratulate the people of Ukraine on their Independence Day. The United States of America is committed to supporting the people of Ukraine as they continue the fight to defend their sovereignty. As part of that commitment, I am proud to announce our biggest tranche of security assistance to date: approximately $2.98 billion of weapons and equipment to be provided through the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative." The financial package will allow Kyiv to obtain air-defense and artillery systems, ammunition, counter-unmanned aerial systems, and radars, the statement said. "Today and every day, we stand with the Ukrainian people to proclaim that the darkness that drives autocracy is no match for the flame of liberty that lights the souls of...

In FBI vs. Trump, the people lose
Investigating Trump for an Espionage Act violation, the FBI must have him over a barrel, we are told. Does anyone remember Russiagate? For my money, the early beneficiary of the FBI's espionage investigation of Donald Trump is Donald Trump. According to the Washington Post, "Trump has told advisers that in the nearly two years since leaving office, no issue had better galvanized Republican voters around him." A Politico poll of Republican voters in the aftermath of the Mar-a-Lago raid gave Trump a 10-point boost over his closest possible primary rival, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. Trump's ensuing fundraising campaign has done even better, quickly topping $1 million on at least two days, a jump of at least 700%. Over the long run, it is difficult to form a conclusive judgment on Trump's potential culpability in the absence of any confirmed detail about both the contents of the documents that Trump allegedly mishandled, and the evidence to support the Justice Department's suspicions....

US governor DeSantis says 'little elf' Fauci should be 'chucked across the Potomac'
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis described retiring Dr. Anthony Fauci as an "elf" and called for him to be chucked "across the Potomac" River in a stump speech Wednesday afternoon. Fauci, 81, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the top medical adviser to the last seven presidents, announced Monday that he would retire at the end of the year. "I'm so sick of seeing him." During a rally in Orlando earlier today, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis slammed Dr. Anthony Fauci, saying "someone needs to grab that little elf and chuck him across the Potomac."

Migration, farming and language development across the Southern Arc revealed in vast paleogenetic study
In a trio of papers, published simultaneously in the journal Science, Ron Pinhasi from the Department of Evolutionary Anthropology and Human Evolution and Archaeological Sciences (HEAS) at the University of Vienna and Songül Alpaslan-Roodenberg from the University of Vienna and Harvard University, Iosif Lazaridis and David Reich at Harvard University — together with 202 co-authors — report a massive effort of genome-wide sequencing from 727 distinct ancient individuals with which it was possible to test longstanding archaeological, genetic and linguistic hypotheses. They present a systematic picture of the interlinked histories of peoples across the Southern Arc Region from the origins of agriculture, to late medieval times. In the first paper the international team investigated the homeland and the spread of Anatolian and Indo-European languages. The genetic results suggest that the homeland of the Indo-Anatolian language family was in West Asia, with only secondary dispersals of...

Global Tantalus
In the future, we will live in a high-tech surveillance state, our every movement, word, and even thought tracked by implanted chips feeding our data into a planetary grid encompassed by swarming multitudes of networked drones, sensors, and satellites from which nothing is invisible. Our cities will be antiseptic multi-ethnic utopias where light monorail systems powered by sunlight speed down gleaming white streets. The inhabitants will be androgynous vegans and insectivores, their psychologies carefully curated by scientifically designed curricula, social credit and cognitive nudge systems, and psychopharmacogenetic therapies all aligning to remove every trace of such antisocial traits as nativism, masculinity, sexual jealousy, or the selfish desire to own things. Agriculture will be a thing of the past, for the soylent, vegetation, and insect protein that sustains the posthumans will be manufactured in agricultural towers that require no soil or rainwater to work. Canadian 'climate ministry' will have arms storage and detention rooms - media
The facility for Trudeau's new climate cops includes a massive firearms storage space and interrogation rooms. A Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) facility under construction in Winnipeg includes a sizable firearms storage room, as well as multiple evidence rooms and interrogation rooms, according to CounterSignal. The outlet, which claims to have received a leaked copy of the architectural plans as drawn up by a Winnipeg firm, published a snapshot showing some of the more disturbing labels on Tuesday. The sprawling 50,000 square-foot building also encases biological labs, media relations offices, a weather forecasting station, and - perhaps most disturbing, given the implications - facilities for housing hundreds of people, including "enforcement officers" working for the ECCC. The "enforcement officers" are essentially climate police, endowed with equivalent authority by the 2019 Impact Assessment Act, which purports to be legislation aiming to reduce the...

Intelligence operative confirms British gov't is targeting The Grayzone
A public call to ban The Grayzone by a UK Foreign Office veteran and psy-ops specialist confirms the malign intentions of British intelligence. The Arvamusfestival (Opinion Festival) convened this August by the Estonian Foreign Ministry featured as its centerpiece an English-language panel on "how to deal with misinformation...in the interests of curbing its propagation." During the discussion, a British state operative named Ross Burley descended into a rant about The Grayzone, demanding it be banned from YouTube on the baseless grounds that it is a "Russian propaganda outfit."

Journalists who challenge NATO narratives are now 'information terrorists'
A US state department sponsored round table on 'countering disinformation' was recently held at the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine. "Information terrorists should know that they will have to answer to the law as war criminals" Andrii Shapovalov According to the press release - "NGOs, mass media and international experts" took part in the round table discussions. Delegates discussed 'disinformation methods' used in Ukraine and abroad. On the agenda was legal and state prevention of 'fakes and disinformation in the context of cyber security'. Andrii Shapovalov, head of the Ukrainian Centre for Combatting Disinformation emphasized that those who 'deliberately spread disinformation are information terrorists'. Shapovalov recommended changes to the legislation to crack down on these terrorists - reminiscent of the pre-WW2 Nazi Germany suppression of media and information channels. Justice Centre brings legal challenge against ArriveCAN and quarantine measures
The Justice Centre filed a lawsuit today in the Federal Court of Canada, on behalf of 11 Canadians either fined for not using the ArriveCAN and/or ordered to quarantine for 14 days after returning home from abroad. The Applicants involved in this legal challenge have received fines of up to $8,500 each and been forced to disclose private medical information via ArriveCAN. The legal challenge seeks to strike down the mandatory use of ArriveCAN and declare unconstitutional the 14-day quarantine requirements for Canadians who refuse to use ArriveCAN when returning home. ArriveCan was initially implemented in April 2020 to force Canadian citizens returning home to submit quarantine plans due to Covid. It was mandated for air travellers November 21, 2020. In February 2021, the federal government mandated ArriveCan for all land travellers, while the US-Canada land crossing was still closed. After the Covid vaccine rollouts, travellers were required to upload their vaccination...

Caught red-handed: Facebook and Twitter delete pro-western bot networks - study
Data provided by the social media giants showed a web of linked accounts pushing pro-US and anti-Russia narratives. Twitter and Facebook have deleted a network of suspicious accounts said to be involved in "covert influence operations" online, including efforts to promote "pro-Western" sentiment and demonize US adversaries, according to company data analyzed by researchers at Stanford University. Partnering with social media analytics firm Graphika, the Stanford Internet Observatory issued a report on Wednesday outlining the alleged influence ops, citing datasets provided by both Twitter and Meta, Facebook's parent company.

Don't go searching for terrorists, they are not hard to find
May I just spit it out? We are the terrorists. Americans are the terrorists creating tremendous suffering and tragedy around the world. And no, I am not the only one admitting to this. Deep down, all of my fellow citizens know what we are up to. A recent incident in Yemen drives home the hegemony my country has created, looted, and still loots the whole world. I watched talk show host Jimmy Dore a few moments ago, laying out how the US, France, and other nations are robbing other people of this world to prop up failed super-capitalism. Dore, who has an uncanny ability to drive at the heart of matters, was interviewing Ethiopian-American Journalist Hermela Aregawi in a story about the French Foreign Legion securing Yemeni natural gas for sale to the EU. The story begins something like this from The New Arab: "France could be gearing up to help protect a gas facility in Yemen to allow for exports in a bid to cut Europe's reliance on Russia, according to an ex-Yemeni foreign...

FBI brass warned agents off Hunter Biden laptop due to 2020 election: whistleblowers
FBI officials told agents not to investigate first son Hunter Biden's infamous laptop for months — vowing that the bureau was "not going to change the outcome of the election again," according to whistleblower claims made public Wednesday by Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) "These new allegations provide even more evidence of FBI corruption and renew calls for you to take immediate steps to investigate the FBI's actions regarding the laptop," Johnson wrote in a letter to Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz. According to the senator, "individuals with knowledge" had told his office that "local FBI leadership" had slow-walked the laptop investigation after the computer was recovered from a Wilmington, Del. repair shop in December 2019.

Lab-made mouse embryos grew brains and beating hearts, just like the real thing
The embryos survived for 8.5 days. Scientists coaxed mouse stem cells to grow into synthetic embryos that began developing hearts and brains, just like the real thing. The lab-made embryos, crafted without any eggs or sperm and incubated in a device that resembles a fast-spinning Ferris wheel full of tiny glass vials, survived for 8.5 days. That's nearly half the length of a typical mouse pregnancy. In that time, a yolk sac developed around the embryos to supply nutrition, and the embryos themselves developed digestive tracts; neural tubes, or the beginnings of the central nervous system; beating hearts; and brains with well-defined subsections, including the forebrain and midbrain, the scientists reported in a study published Thursday (Aug. 25) in the journal Nature. "This has been the dream of our community for years and [a] major focus of our work for a decade, and finally, we've done it," senior study author Magdalena Zernicka-Goetz, a developmental and stem-cell biologist with...

Mark Zuckerberg tells Joe Rogan Facebook was wrong to ban The Post's Hunter Biden laptop story
Mark Zuckerberg finally admitted on Thursday that Facebook dropped the ball when the company banned the sharing of The Post's exclusive report on Hunter Biden's laptop ahead of the 2020 election. The billionaire CEO of Meta said he regretted Facebook's handling of the bombshell story during an appearance on "The Joe Rogan Experience" — but he still defended the process as "pretty reasonable." Zuckerberg opened up about the controversial media suppression after the host pressed him to explain his views on how tech platforms should handle content moderation on sensitive subjects.

Gender dysphoria is covered by disability law, federal court rules
The ruling could become a powerful tool to challenge legislation restricting access to medical care and other accommodations for transgender people, advocates say. A federal ruling that gender dysphoria is covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act could help block conservative political efforts to restrict access to gender-affirming care, advocates and experts say. A panel of the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals last week became the first federal appellate court in the country to find that the 1990 landmark federal law protects transgender people who experience anguish and other symptoms as a result of the disparity between their assigned sex and their gender identity.

Court strikes down "quarantine camp" regulation in New York State
We have had a tremendous victory here in New York: a Supreme Court Judge has struck down Governor Kathy Hochul's forced quarantine regulation! On July 8, 2022, Judge Ronald Ploetz ruled that the "Isolation and Quarantine Procedures" regulation is unconstitutional and "violative of New York State law as promulgated and enacted, and therefore null, void and unenforceable as a matter of law." Shockingly, Governor Hochul and Attorney General, Letitia James, plan to appeal the decision. Yes, that's right...the Governor and AG, both unabashedly support quarantine camps! One would think that this fact, in and of itself, would be disturbing enough but add to it the fact that they're both running for election this November, and you can see just how unconstitutionally brazen and wholly out-of-touch with New Yorkers each of these "leaders" is. For anyone who missed my prior article on this horrific forced quarantine regime, the regulation truly shocks the conscience. Without exaggeration,...

Twitter declined to remove sex video exploiting minors, according to lawsuit supported by powerful watchdog groups
Child-safety advocates are blasting Twitter and lining up to support a lawsuit that alleges the social network declined to remove videos depicting the sexual exploitation of minors despite pleas from a victim and his family. "It's child sexual abuse material. He was 13 years old and being extorted. What the hell is Twitter doing?" asked Hany Farid, a professor at the School of Information at UC Berkeley. Farid, who has testified before Congress five times on issues of online safety and regulation, and others filed paperwork with a federal appellate court in San Francisco last week supporting the lawsuit.

Heavy rain causes damage and flooding in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico
Heavy rain that was accompanied by wind caused several damages in the city, where the streets and avenues turned into rivers in a matter of a few minutes. Around 4:00 p.m. the first drops began to fall on the "agricultural capital of the state", but the light rain quickly turned into a downpour that flooded the roads in all sectors of the urban area. In some parts of the city, the water covered half of the vehicles, while in the south and west, failures in the supply of drinking water to homes were reported. In this regard, the Municipal Board of Water and Sanitation explained that the rain caused breakdowns in the wells that supply the liquid, for which the technicians of the unit immediately went to carry out the repair work.
