South Dakota congressman demands answers from Bill Gates over farmland purchases
Rep. Dusty Johnson, a Republican, pointed to issues with Gates' purchase of massive swaths of farmland across 19 states. Bill Gates, who is America's largest individual owner of farmland, is now facing scrutiny for his ownership of nearly 270,000 acres of farmland in 19 states. One South Dakota congressman has taken notice of Gates' unmitigated buyout of agricultural land and seeks to bring the Microsoft founder and philanthropist before a committee to explain his vast ownership of farmland. Rep. Dusty Johnson, in a letter to House Agriculture Committee chairman David Scott, wrote: "It has become clear in recent reports that Mr. Gates is the largest private farmland owner in America — he now owns nearly 270,000 acres of farmland across 19 states. Comparatively, the average farm size in 2021 was 445 acres, according to the United States Department of Agriculture's Economic Research Service. I believe that Mr. Gates' holdings across much of our nation is a significant portion that...

Resisting the 'food transition': Genetic engineering and dependency
The 'food transition' is integral to the 'great reset'. This transition is couched in the language of climate emergency and sustainability and warnings about the imminent need to address the Malthusian threat of too many people and not enough food to feed nine billion by 2050. This transition envisages a particular future for farming. It is not organic and relatively few farmers have a place in it. It involves drones, driverless machines and largely farmerless farms. Cloud-based 'precision' agriculture as the norm - meaning GMOs and new gene-editing techniques and amalgamated farmlands growing monocultures. GM crops are required to feed the world is a well-worn industry slogan trotted out at every available opportunity. Just like the claim of GM crops being a tremendous success, this too is based on a myth. There is no global shortage of food. Even under any plausible future population scenario, there will be no shortage as evidenced by scientist Dr Jonathan Latham in his paper...

Russia teaches Europe ABC of gas trade
The unthinkable is happening for the second time in five months: Russian gas giant Gazprom writes to German gas companies announcing force majeure effective from June 14, exonerating it from any compensation for shortfalls since then. The first time shock and awe appeared in German-Russian relations this year was on February 22 when Chancellor Olaf Shloz surprised even hardened political observers by freezing approval process for the newly-constructed Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. The $11 billion pipeline beneath the Baltic Sea would have doubled the volume of gas sent directly from Russia to Germany, but Scholz instead blocked its commissioning. Those were halcyon days when Berlin talked of "defeating" Russia. Scholz's move was in reaction to Moscow's decision on February 21 to recognise two breakaway regions of Ukraine as independent republics. Russia hawks in Germany applauded his decision. Acclaim came pouring in. Jana Puglierin, head of the European Council on Foreign Relations...

75% of middle class Americans say their income is falling behind cost of living
Inflation and a looming recession have left middle-class Americans feeling glum about household finances and the U.S. economy, a survey released Wednesday showed. Seventy-five percent of Americans with incomes between $30,000 and $100,000 say their income is falling behind inflation, according to a survey by Georgia-based financial services company Primerica. That's up from 67 percent as recently as March, indicating a dramatic surge in the number of middle-class Americans feeling burdened by inflation. An even larger share — 77 percent — say they expect the economy to enter into a recession by the end of this year. Sixty-one percent of these middle-income Americans say they expect the economy to be worse off a year from now. Just 14 percent say they expect it to be better. Forty-one percent say that inflation is their top concern. Being able to pay for food is the top concern of 26 percent.

The Church of Pfizer: DC promotes 'Faith in Vaccine' initiative
Sure, there's zero scientific evidence that mRNA vaccines are working, but that doesn't mean you should abandon your faith in Big Pharma's money making machine, according to the Public Health bureaucrats in Washington D.C. The notoriously ultra-progressive and secular city has finally found religion, and they're recruiting worshippers to the state-sponsored church of Pfizer. D.C.'s Health Department is advertising a "Faith In Vaccine" program, partnering with places of worship in the city to convince residents to get COVID tested and injected with their next round of mRNA.

Lightning strikes claimed 5,706 lives in the Indian state of Odisha in 20 years
Odisha witnessed 21.73 lakh lightning strikes that claimed 5,706 lives in the last two decades. The deaths due to lightning continue to be on an upward spiral, revealed a global study that mapped main risk areas of lightning fatalities between 2000 and 2020 over Odisha. Researchers from six universities in India and Brazil found lightning-induced deaths are among the most unnoticed disaster fatalities and often ignored as it is not considered as a public health issue. Odisha has been hit by over 10,000 strikes every year between 2000 and 2020 except for 2001, 2017, and 2018. Despite the variabilities, lightning activities showed a clear increasing trend during the past 20 years.

Is CERN causing collective mass delusion by creating portals to alternate dimensions? an investigation
Cynthia Sue Larson has been on the lookout since July 5, when CERN turned the world's most powerful particle collider back on for a third time. Larson is looking for "reality shifts and Mandela Effects," or evidence of multiple universes, timelines, rips in the space-time continuum, or other evidence that reality as we know it has been distorted by the Large Hadron Collider. "I've been paying attention to see whether reports of Mandela Effects might increase, now that CERN's Large Hadron Collider fired back up again," Larson, the author of Reality Shifts and Quantum Jumps, told Motherboard. "So far I've not yet noticed large-scale reports of new Mandela Effects in the past day or so, though it does seem there is a large and growing interest in the Mandela Effect." CERN has noticed.

Leftist judges forbid Alex Jones from mentioning 1st Amendment, saying he is innocent, or claiming court case is rigged
Effectively, the judges have ruled that Alex Jones is guilty before proven guilty and will instruct the jury to determine just how guilty he is. In an unprecedented assault on due process and the rule of law, both a Texas and Connecticut judge have ruled that Alex Jones may not discuss the First Amendment, defend his innocence, or point out the rigged elements of the upcoming Sandy Hook defamation case against him. Here is a limited breakdown of some of the most egregious constitutional violations of due process and the First Amendment as explained by a third-party legal adviser:

US military analyst: West can't afford Ukraine spending, will run out of ammo to send to Kiev
As Russia continues its special military operation to demilitarize and de-Nazify Ukraine, the West is sending billions of dollars on aid, weapons, and equipment for Kiev. Scott Ritter, a military analyst and former US Marine Corps intelligence officer, offers his views on the West's motivation to provide continued financial and military assistance to Ukraine, the reasons why the US and EU are choosing to fuel the hostilities instead of encouraging Kiev to negotiate, and reflects on how long Ukraine's beneficiaries in the West will be able to afford such expenses. Sputnik: The European Union on Wednesday moved to pour additional 500 million euros into Ukraine's military. In a statement on Twitter, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said that EU states remain "focused and steadfast" in their support of Kiev. What goals are the US and EU pursuing by pouring more money into the Ukrainian military? Scott Ritter: The hope is to transform the conflict that is ongoing in Ukraine as a...

Tony Blair wants the West to reign supreme, but ignores his own role in its decline
In British politics, Tony Blair is a highly controversial former prime minister and a polarizing figure. His cheerleading and participation in the Iraq War of 2003, brandished upon the false premise that Saddam Hussein possessed 'weapons of mass destruction', is one of the most memorable features of his premiership. Coupled with the domestic policies of his 'New Labour' project, it illustrates that Blair, despite being a Labour prime minister, was a de-facto right-wing leader who embraced the political consensus of Thatcherism. Blair was an ardent neoconservative, who represented the era of 'Pax Americana' in the 1990s and early 2000s, and engaged in military action more than any other British prime minister of modern times. Yet, for the British psyche, this is accepted as normal and Tony Blair is ultimately not disgraced for his foreign policy, even as his domestic politics ignites bitter divides in the Labour camp. Recently, Blair made a speech at the Ditchley Annual Lecture,...

Transnistria confirms plans to join Russia
The Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic continues to seek independence with subsequent accession to Russia. This was stated by Foreign Minister of the unrecognized PMR Vitaly Ignatiev. According to the Pridnestrovian minister, Tiraspol held a referendum back in 2006, during which the citizens of the republic chose independence from Moldova with subsequent accession to Russia. This policy continues to adhere to the authorities of Transnistria. "The vector of Pridnestrovie has remained unchanged throughout the years of the existence of the republic, which is reflected in the results of the referendum on September 17, 2006, where it is clearly indicated: independence with subsequent free accession to the Russian Federation. The independence of the country is an absolute priority" - leads RIA News Ignatiev's words.

Same parts of the brain control processing of dozens of languages
While brain-scanning techniques have enabled researchers to explore which regions are active when using language, most subjects in these studies have spoken English or one of just a handful of other languages — and it's been unclear whether the findings also applied to other languages. Recently, researchers evaluated the brain activity in native speakers of 45 different languages to determine whether their language networks — specific brain regions that specialize in processing linguistic information — behaved similarly. The analysis, published Monday (July 18) in Nature Neuroscience, finds that these distinctive languages do indeed involve similar patterns of brain activity. The authors write in their study that out of the more than 7,000 languages that humans across the globe use to communicate, research has largely focused on a single language family — the Indo-European family, and in particular, English. The new work covered 45 languages from twelve language families and...

Zelensky request snubbed by South American trade block Mercosur
South America's Mercosur trade bloc has declined a request by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to address its upcoming summit, host Paraguay said on Wednesday. Bloc members Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay failed to reach an agreement on Zelensky's request, made to the host country last week, according to deputy foreign minister Raul Cano, who declined to say which states were against it. Zelensky has addressed several national parliaments as well as regional and international forums since Russia's invasion of his country in February, including NATO, the G7, the World Economic Forum, the United Nations and even the Cannes Film Festival. The Ukrainian leader spoke to Paraguay's President Mario Abdo Benitez last week, asking to be allowed to address a Mercosur summit to be held on Thursday, following a ministerial meeting on Wednesday.

The normalization of The New Normal Reich
I know, you're probably sick and tired of hearing about the Rise of the New Normal Reich. You want it to be over. So do I. It isn't over ... not by a long shot. It might seem like it's over where you are. I imagine it does if you live in Florida, or in Texas, or the UK, or Sweden, or Croatia, or in some other country or state in which the majority of the "Covid restrictions" have been lifted, or perhaps were never introduced in the first place. If that's the case, I'm happy for you. I happen to live in New Normal Germany, the current tip of the New Normal spear, or one of the tips of one of its spears (or mRNA-laced hypodermic needles), the others being countries and states like Canada, China, Australia, New York, California, and assorted other hotbeds of New Normalism. If you live in one of these New Normal strongholds, as I do, you are acutely aware of how it is not over. Yes, the Covidian Cult is kaput. The spell has been broken. 10 British pedophiles deported from Poland, they claimed to be there to help Ukrainian refugees
British sex offenders were tracked going to refugee-laden Poland in the early weeks of war, seemingly to take advantage of the chaos unfolding on the border with Ukraine. The National Crime Agency (NCA) yesterday revealed ten convicted paedophiles travelled east in the first six weeks after Vladimir Putin's invasion, under the guise of providing assistance to refugees. All ten were interviewed by Polish authorities and removed from the country, said an NCA spokesman, adding: 'We have an international network that identifies these threats... we contact our partners and say you have a convicted sex offender on your patch.'

Israel military admits it uses armed drones
Israel's military censors have lifted a ban on reporting the country's use of armed drones, an official said on Wednesday, ending an open secret by admitting that the armed forces have unmanned attack aircraft and have used them. Palestinians have accused Israel of using armed drones in targeted killings in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, something never confirmed by Israel, which had previously barred all publication of news on the issue. There have also been numerous international news reports of Israeli drones attacking targets in Lebanon and Iran, which have never been confirmed officially by Israel. A statement from the military censor said that after consideration of the issue, "it was found that there was no impediment to publishing the IDF's use of armed UAVs as part of its operational activities."

Border Patrol pushes back on Mayorkas claim that southern border is secure: 'They are liars'
Multiple Border Patrol agents are pushing back against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas' claim that the southern border is "secure" -- just as agents on the frontlines of the historic migrant crisis are struggling to cope with the overwhelming numbers facing them. There were more than 207,000 migrant encounters in June alone, the fourth month in a row where the number of encounters breached the 200,000 mark. But Mayorkas, speaking at the Aspen Security Forum on Tuesday, dismissed claims about the border not being secure. "Look, the border is secure," he said. "We are working to make the border more secure. That has been a historic challenge." He then faulted lawmakers who have said they won't commit to broad immigration legislation until the situation is addressed.

Australia now selling its iron ore to China in yuan, not dollars
A ship carrying Australian iron ore docked in China's Shandong province last week. As Australia's biggest buyer, there's nothing unusual about that. What was remarkable was how that iron had been paid for. The transaction had been in Chinese yuan. Not US dollars. The Beijing-controlled Global Times saw this as a small - but significant - victory.

No energy security without Russia, 'like it or not' - Hungary's FM visits Moscow to seal gas purchase
Hungary needs to buy an extra 700 million cubic meters of natural gas this year to ensure its energy safety and this is "simply impossible" to do without Russia, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on Thursday. Speaking in Moscow at a joint press conference with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, the Hungarian minister said that "some may sell empty promises and chase dreams," but the "physical realities cannot be changed." "Like it or not," in his opinion, "it is currently simply impossible to buy this much extra natural gas in Europe without Russian sources." Szijjarto stressed that while his country's storage facilities were full enough "for normal times," since these are not normal times Hungary needs more gas to feel secure. The minister stressed that negotiations with Russia should conclude as soon as possible as the heating season officially starts on October 15. Comment: Indeed; officials across the planet have warned times are due to get unimaginably more...
