Mismanagement or Green agenda? California's Farmland Rapidly Turns To Dust Amid Water Crisis
As much of the Western US suffers from a historic drought, all eyes have shifted to Californian farmers as hundreds of thousands of acres become fallow in a state responsible for a tremendous amount of US food production. Unprecedented cuts to water supplies are jeopardizing the future of growing for many farmers. Drought conditions are worsening, making it harder for farmers to irrigate crops.

39-foot humpback and harbor porpoise wash up dead on beaches in the San Francisco Bay Area
The carcasses of a 39-foot humpback whale and a harbor porpoise were found washed ashore on two Bay Area beaches Saturday afternoon, and experts from the California Academy of Sciences and the Marine Mammal Center say the causes of their deaths are unrelated. Over the weekend, academy scientists performed a necropsy on the subadult female humpback whale discovered on Sharp Park Beach in Pacifica. Giancarlo Rulli, a spokesperson for the Marine Mammal Center, said the whale was "in an advanced state of decomposition" when scientists first visited Saturday and difficult to get to because of the high tide. Scientists returned Sunday and were able to perform the necropsy. After collecting data, photos, measurements and samples from the carcass, they found that lacerations on her body appeared to be consistent with "an interaction with orcas," which was the likely cause of death, said Moe Flannery, the California Academy of Sciences' senior collections manager. The whale was "missing her...

'Alarming' rise in children trying to lose weight in England, say experts
Research suggests one in four children are on diets, including one in seven who are considered a healthy weight. One in four children in England are on diets, research suggests, with the proportion who are considered healthy but trying to lose weight almost tripling. Britain is engulfed in a child obesity crisis, with one in four 10- and 11-year-olds officially obese.

Tributes to Oman flood victim as death toll rises to 19
Friends of an Indian expat who drowned during flooding in Oman have lamented his death, as the official death toll rose to 19. Raju Sampat and his brother Ravi said the last time they saw Ramesh Chowdhary, 29, was when strong currents of rainwater that had flooded Oman's Rostaq valley washed him away. The accident happened while the trio were hiking during the Eid Al Adha holidays. The siblings watched their friend waving his hands and trying to fight the strong currents that took him away from sight. "One moment he was standing on a rock above the water, laughing and dancing, and the next minute a wave pulled him into the water and he was gone seconds later," Raju Sampat told The National.

Portland Antifa to host summer camp for kids
A Portland Antifa group called "Budding Roses" will be hosting an "Antifascist" social justice summer camp beginning July 25, where kids ages 10 to 14 will be participating in activities that include learning about police abolition, how to donate to bail funds, and what to do if they come in contact with tear gas during protests. The City of Portland awarded Budding Roses with a Spirit of Portland Award and selected the left-wing extremist group as Nonprofit Initiative of the Year in 2018, according to their website. The young campers will be learning curriculum from a book titled Tear Gas for Portlanders, which emphasizes the importance of "mutual aid" and teaches campers how to donate to bail funds if their comrades get arrested by police. They will also be taught how to proceed if police deploy crowd control munitions, such as tear gas.

Unusually cold airmass blows through Bering Strait bringing July snow
An unusually frigid ball of air is spinning through the Bering Strait region, bringing rare July snowfall, high surf advisories in the Norton Sound and wind gusts up to 48 mph in Nome. "These kinds of things spin around the higher latitudes all year long," said Rick Thoman, Alaska climate specialist at the International Arctic Research Center at UAF. "Usually, this cold would stay farther north. If this was happening on the North Slope, it would be chilly but nothing particularly to write home about. The fact that it's moved so far south is really the news here." Looking through climate records, Thoman said this airmass will be the coldest one seen during the month of July in the past 70 years. "I would chalk this particular storm up to one of those random variabilities that are going to happen from time to time, even in a warming climate," he said.

"A Peasants Revolt" FDA and the CDC are on notice/ industry professionals say the casket industry is booming
Caskets I spoke to the family who owns one of the largest casket manufacturers in North America. They supply caskets to huge chains across the US and manufacture Prime Caskets, among others. It's horrific to have to report on such a thing, but the owners said that their sales of typical caskets have increased by 20%, and since Dec 2021 their sales of small-size caskets (under 5 feet, i.e, for children) have increased by 400%. He's not the only one talking about it, those in the funeral industry are well aware of the sudden change in the nature of their business.

Unexpected sea surges slam into Cook Islands and Tahiti, video shows high waves crashing over 2-storey houses in Hawaii
An unexpected weather event has damaged properties and flooded roads in the Cook Islands while French Polynesia is dealing with the aftermath of huge swells. Swells of up to 4.5 metres inundating coastal areas, driven by a high-pressure system pushing up from New Zealand have been labelled a highly unusual weather event by Cook Islands' emergency management director. John Strickland said the impacts were the most far-reaching he had seen in a decade. "It was a sudden hit at night, there was damage that took place Tuesday night local time," Strickland said. He said there was an "unexpected sea surge" in Rarotonga.

Hunter Biden laptop shows dozens of meetings with dad, business partners
Hunter Biden met with his father at least 30 times at the White House or the vice president's residence, often just days after he returned home from overseas business jaunts. The breakfasts, lunches and other gabfests between 2008 and 2016 raise questions about whether Hunter was relaying messages to his father on behalf of foreign clients, and cast new doubt on the president's repeated denials that he had any role in his son's shady overseas business dealings. The meetings were found in a review of the personal calendar on Hunter Biden's abandoned laptop.

SOTT FOCUS: Objective:Health - Do Covid Vaccines Do Anything They're Supposed To?
Welcome to another episode of In the News, where the Objective:Health hosts take a look through the latest health headlines and give their take. On this week's episode, we once again dive into the murky world of Covid vaccines. The latest news has us wondering if these vaccines do ANYTHING they're supposed to. Coming out of the UK is data showing that the people most likely to die from Covid are those who have been vaccinated and, predictably, the more shots one has, the more likely they are to die. We also look at the fact that deaths which occurred during Pfizer's safety trial on their mRNA shots weren't fully investigated (surprise surprise). We also delve into other ways the vaccine trials have been rigged. Join us for all of this and more on this episode of Objective:Health. And check us out on Brighteon! Covid-19 Australia: 'Pandemic babies' with no immunity to viruses ending up in ICU
A concerning number of 'pandemic babies' with no immunity to respiratory viruses are ending up seriously ill in ICU. Doctors have revealed children born during the Covid-19 pandemic are requiring intensive care 'from encountering viruses they haven't come across before', such as influenza, RSV and Covid. The children had been born and raised when there were virtually no other viruses circulating in Australia, other than Covid-19. The Children's Hospital at Westmead infectious diseases paediatrician Dr Philip Britton said an analysis of ICU admissions across shows babies are testing positive for influenza and Covid at the same time. 'Over the last month or so, we have seen four times the admissions to hospital for flu in children as for Covid,' Dr Britton told The Daily Telegraph.

A court in Russia's southwestern city of Rostov-on-Don has sentenced opera singer Vadim Cheldiyev to 10 years in prison for his role in organizing a massive rally against anti-coronavirus restrictions in the entertainer's native North Ossetia region in 2020. The Rostov regional court on July 19 also sentenced co-defendants Ramis Chirkinov and Arsen Besolov to eight and 8 1/2 years in prison, respectively. Cheldiyev was found guilty of the distribution of false information about the pandemic, extremism, hooliganism, organization of mass disorder, and attacking a law enforcement officer.

Living in la-la land: Britain's military decline exposes NATO's collapse in credibility and capability
NATO's plan to vastly increase its forward force is wishful thinking, and the UK's struggle for military relevance is a perfect case in point The secretary general of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Jens Stoltenberg, recently announced the US-led military bloc's goal of expanding its so-called 'Response Force' from its current strength of 40,000 to a force of more than 300,000 troops. "We will enhance our battlegroups in the eastern part of the Alliance up to brigade-levels," Stoltenberg declared. "We will transform the NATO Response Force and increase the number of our high readiness forces to well over 300,000." The announcement, made at the end of NATO's annual summit, held in Madrid, Spain, apparently took several defense officials from the NATO membership by surprise, with one such official calling Stoltenberg's figures "number magic." Stoltenberg appeared to be working from a concept that had been developed within NATO headquarters based upon assumptions made...

The heatwave green hysteria is out of control
If you find yourself wondering over the next few days why it is so swelteringly hot, I have an answer for you. It's because of rich people. It's because of those wealthy elites with all their gas-guzzling vehicles and reckless holidaymaking. It's their fault you're sweating on the Tube. This infantile claim really is being made, and by supposedly serious politicians. Labour's Richard Burgon, over on his Instagram account, is wringing his no doubt sweaty hands over the filthy rich folk who apparently landed us in this weather apocalypse. 'As we face 40°C temperatures and the first ever Red Extreme Heat Warning, remember this climate crisis is driven by the wealthy', he cries. His stern words are accompanied, naturally, by that Met Office map showing half of Britain coloured dark red - the hellish hue that has been chosen to illustrate how dire our predicament has allegedly become. Is anyone else tiring of all this green hysteria over the heatwave? There is something medieval about...

New report shows micro-meteor impacts have left 'uncorrectable' damage to the Webb telescope's mirror
Fortunately, engineers planned for this. Since launching on Dec. 25, 2021, NASA's James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) has been pelted by at least 19 tiny space rocks — including one large one that left noticeable damage on one of the telescope's 18 gold-plated mirrors. In a sprawling new status report posted to the pre-print database arXiv.org (opens in new tab), NASA researchers have shared the first images showing the extent of that damage. Seen on the C3 mirror in the lower right-hand corner of the image, the impact site appears as a single bright white dent besmirching the golden mirror's surface.

Satellite imagery shows global crop declines - except for Russia and China
Infrared satellite imagery designed to measure moisture levels and the health of farmlands suggests that staple crops such as wheat are in poor condition and in sharp decline among major exporters including the Ukraine, the US and India. Two countries do have bumper crops so far though; namely Russia and China. It is hard to say which governments and institutions monitor this data, but a few months ago a multitude of political leaders and global banks issued simultaneous warnings of a "global food shortage" and an impending crisis. Such institutions included the IMF, World Bank, the BIS and even the White House. So far, a perfect storm of stagflation, supply chain disruptions and poor weather conditions have combined to disrupt food production around the world. Price inflation due to central bank stimulus measures has been enough to do incredible damage to the many national economies, but a single bad year for crops on top of this could spell disaster.

What has Trump's endless prosecution accomplished?
Tonight was meant to be the grand primetime finale of the January 6th hearings, but those have been postponed. MSNBC's Ali Vitali, when asked the reason, answered in classic fashion. "Look," she said. "You have to infer that the reason for that is they're getting new cooperation, not least of which from former White House Counsel Pat Cipollone..." Do we? Have to infer that? From George Nader to Michael Cohen to Hope Hicks to Michael Flynn to Don McGahn to Alexander Vindman to Cassidy Hutchinson to a long, long list of others, we've been repeatedly told the key Bearer Of Secrets had turned states evidence, and the "John Dean moment" was here. Do you remember the New Yorker article from the summer of 2018, "Allen Weisselberg, the Man Who Knows Donald Trump's Financial Secrets, Has Agreed to Become a Coöperating Witness"? The one containing the line, "Allen is the one guy who knows everything"? No? Neither had I. But it happened, another moment crumpled up and thrown at the bottom of...
