Ukrainian cargo plane which crashed in fireball explosion in Greece was carrying 11 TONS of weapons including mortar shells and land mines to Bangladesh
Soldiers in hazmat suits searched for signs of nuclear and chemical substances at the crash site of a Ukrainian cargo plane transporting nearly a dozen tons of mortar shells and land mines. The Antonov An-12 light aircraft, which was transporting the weapons from Serbia to Bangladesh, had eight Ukrainian crew members onboard. They were all killed. An official at Kyiv cargo operator Meridian told Reuters: 'Of course they didn't survive this.'

Is Australia experiencing a 'volcanic winter'?
Significant polar fronts have delivered record-low temperatures and record-high snowfalls to swathes of Australia in recent weeks. The continent is on for one of its coldest winters on record. But why...? June was an exceptionally cold month, according to data provided by the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM): And July is continuing that frigid trend. Serving as just three recent examples: Alice Springs busted its longest streak of sub-zero days in recorded history; secondly, on July 15, Hillston Airport, NSW logged -6C (21.2F) — its lowest temperature ever recorded; and, thirdly, just last night, snow settled across many of Hobart's suburbs, almost reaching sea-level in Tasmania's south, and an apparent low of -20C (-4F) was observed.

'There would be doomsday' for Ukrainians who attack Crimea says Russia's Medvedev
A former Russian President appeared to warn that Ukraine could face yet another onslaught if they attempted to reclaim the contested region. Dmitry Medvedev, who served as President from 2008 to 2012, made the remarks during a meeting with a group of Second World War veterans. The deputy head of Russia's security council said: "Trying to snap back, and some exalted bloody clowns who pop up there periodically with some statements, are trying to threaten us — I mean an attack on Crimea, and so on." He added: "The consequences are obvious that if something like this happens, there would be a 'doomsday' for all of them there, very fast and hard."

SOTT FOCUS: NewsReal: All Quiet on the Western Front
As western Europe bakes in a midsummer heatwave, scurrilous media has taken the opportunity to 'let folks know' that high temperatures can cause 'blood clots' and 'excess deaths'. Although technically true, we can't shake the icky feeling that they're 'not letting a (contrived) crisis go to waste' by using the fairly normal high temperatures to 'bury some CoVaxx dead'. Also on this NewsReal, Joe and Niall discuss the 'surprising' Manitoba government data on hospitalizations and deaths from Covid-19, as well as alarming new studies on the frequency of menstrual problems in vaccinated women. The Science is apparently not behaving as it's 'supposed' to. In the second half, they switch to the ongoing titanic struggle between Russian and American Ukrainian forces in the Donbass, where escalatory measures are edging ever-closer to some kind of direct showdown between the superpowers. Gazprom declares force majeure, will halt gas flows to Germany indefinitely. Why is anyone surprised?
Already days before the July 22 European "Doomsday" when the scheduled Russian 10-day maintenance of the crucial Nord Stream pipeline to Germany is slated to end - but which was thrown into deep doubt given Gazprom recently said it can no longer guarantee its "good functioning" due to crucial turbines being previously held up in Canada related to sanctions - the Russian energy giant has declared Force Majeure to one major European customer. Simply put, Gazprom declared extraordinary and extreme circumstances to void itself from all contractual obligations to this customer, thus the gas will stop flowing indefinitely, as Reuters reports in a breaking development Monday, "Russian gas export monopoly Gazprom has declared force majeure on gas supplies to Europe to at least one major customer starting June 14, according to the letter seen by Reuters." The letter is dated July 14. "It said the force majeure measure, a clause invoked when a business is hit by something beyond its control,...

So adorable: Kiev names condition for peace talks with Moscow
Ukrainian foreign minister appears to rule out talks anytime soon Peace negotiations with Moscow will make sense only after Russia's defeat on the battlefield, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba has declared. In an interview with Forbes Ukraine published on Monday, Kuleba named Russia's "aggressive behavior" as a reason for the absence of peace talks, arguing that any negotiations "are directly linked to the situation at the front." "I tell all partners a simple thing: 'Russia should sit down at the negotiating table after defeat on the battlefield. Otherwise, it will be the language of ultimatums again,'" Kuleba explained.

Seriously? BBC's 'independent vaccine expert' just happens to be in charge of Pfizer's UK vaccine centre
Now updated below to show that, additionally, their 'vaccine is safe' for pregnant women 'expert' just happens to be the PI of the Pfizer Covid vaccine in pregnancy trial. As I reported in this previous post the BBC is screening a documentary on 20 July in which mathematician Prof Hannah Fry - with the help 'experts' - attempts to convince 7 members of the public (who have so far refused) to take the Covid vaccine. As I pointed out the BBC (in the publicity for the programme) already signposted the likely extreme bias in the programme by massive underestimating the number of unvaccinated people in the UK, hence trying to present such people as a tiny extreme fringe. This newspaper article about the Programme unwittingly provides more evidence of just how biased the programme is going to be. To give just one example, we have this: As for concerns about how exactly the jab works, the group travelled to meet Professor Adam Finn, a paediatrician from the University of Bristol who has...

The real-world consequences of green extremism
Glorious pictures from the edge of the universe have arrived on Earth just when events here force us to consider the possibility that governments are run by aliens. They are so out of touch with common sense that they must come from other planets. The James Webb Space Telescope, a wonder of human ingenuity, resourcefulness, imagination, and creative curiosity, is revealing the birth of galaxies to a world in which, by contrast, overreaching oligarchs and bossy bureaucrats constrict the actions of ordinary people trying to make their own lives and the lives of others better. Much of the world groans under immiserating rules handed down by a "theory class," even though they obviously don't work. The accolade for the most disastrous policy outcome is hotly contested, and Wednesday's grim revelation of 9.1% inflation shows that President Joe Biden's spending agenda is a strong contender. But even that might not take the cake. Worse, perhaps, are the results of hyper-alarmism on climate...

Soros-linked group wins $172M contract from Biden to help border crossers avoid deportation
A left-wing group linked to billionaire George Soros has won a nearly $172 million federal contract from President Joe Biden's administration to help young border crossers avoid deportation, a report revealed this week. Fox News's Adam Shaw and Joe Schoffstall reported on Thursday that the Vera Institute of Justice, with financial ties to Soros, has won a federal contract for $171.7 million that will provide attorneys to Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs) to avoid deportation from the United States. The federal contract could end up showering the Vera Institute of Justice with $1 billion in taxpayer funding, Fox News reported: The arrangement lasts until March 2023 but can reach as high as $983 million if renewed until March 2027, the agreement shows. This appears to be the largest federal contract Vera has secured for immigration-related services for any single year dating back to the mid-2000s. ... The Vera Institute, meanwhile, is propelled by taxpayer-backed government grants...

How much did the US government pressure Twitter to ban Alex Berenson?
Nearly a year ago, former New York Times journalist Alex Berenson was permanently banned from Twitter for writing the following lines about the Covid shot: "It doesn't stop infection. Or transmission. Don't think of it as a vaccine. Think of it - at best - as a therapeutic with a limited window of efficacy and terrible side effect profile that must be dosed IN ADVANCE OF ILLNESS. And we want to mandate it? Insanity." From the beginning of the Covid hysteria, we followed and cited Berenson many times on the Ron Paul Liberty Report. Berenson took government and mainstream media rhetoric about the pandemic the way journalists used to take it: with a heavy dose of skepticism. And not long after he was banned for saying so, even the CDC Director admitted what he wrote is true. But at the time, he was a danger to the government narrative on Covid, and the "private" social media company Twitter silenced him. They did not only silence one reporter who was a thorn in their side, however....

Dr. Deborah Birx admits being deceitful when recommending Covid strategies to Trump
"I couldn't do anything that would reveal my true intention," she writes, "to use the travel ban as one brick in the construction of a larger wall of protective measures we needed to enact very soon." Dr. Deborah Birx, who served in the Trump administration as part of the Covid response team, has admitted in her book and before Congress that much of the guidance issued to mitigate the pandemic was arbitrary. In her book Silent Invasion, she discusses the planning that went into an essential component of the strategy to handle Covid, one that has been roundly mocked: two weeks to stop the spread. The data used to back it up was from other countries, and Birx intentionally obfuscated her intentions for a robust lockdown. Birx writes in her book, she writes about assembling a team that she could "trust" to "look at the numbers and provide unvarnished analysis free from a hidden or political agenda. There would be no groupthink within my inner circle." But after deciding to trust the...

Germany and France 'killed' Minsk agreements - Russia
Germany is demanding that Russia guarantee Ukraine's territorial integrity. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov wrote, in an op-ed for the Russian newspaper Izvestia: "When [German Chancellor] Olaf Scholz demands that Russia should be compelled to sign an agreement granting Ukraine guarantees of territorial integrity and sovereignty, all his attempts are in vain. There was already such a deal - the Minsk agreements - which was killed by Berlin and Paris. They were shielding Kiev, which openly refused to comply." Russia, Germany and France brokered the 2015 Minsk agreements between Ukraine and Donbass, which were designed to put an end to hostilities. But according to Lavrov, Berlin and Paris failed to ensure Kiev's compliance. The Russian foreign minister noted that former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko admitted the Minsk agreements meant nothing for Kiev, and Ukraine used them only to buy time.

4 dead in mall shooting in Indiana, gunman is shot by armed civilian
Three people were killed and another two injured on Monday in a shooting that occurred at a mall outside Indianapolis, Indiana. An armed civilian fatally shot the gunman, police have said. According to Greenwood Police Chief Jim Ison, a man entered the Greenwood Park Mall with a rifle and several magazines of ammunition before opening fire at the food court. Police have yet to identify the gunman or establish his motive. The shooter was eventually stopped by a "good Samaritan," who Ison described as a 22-year-old man.

The Assassination of Archduke Shinzo Abe
July 8 was a muggy day in the ancient capital of Japan. Shinzo Abe, the most powerful figure in Japanese politics, was delivering a stump speech for a local Liberal Democratic Party candidate in front of the Nara Kintetsu railway station when suddenly a loud bang rang out, followed by an odd cloud of smoke. The response was incredible. Among those in the unusually large crowd gathered, not a single person ran for cover, or hit the ground in terror. Abe's body guards, who stood unusually far away from him during the speech, looked on impassively, making no effort to shield him, or to pull him to a safe location. A few seconds later, Abe crumpled and collapsed to the ground, lying there impassive in his standard blue jacket, white shirt, now speckled with blood, and trademark blue badge of solidarity with Japanese abductees in North Korea. Most likely he was killed instantaneously.

EU's top diplomat hits back at Hungary over claims Russia sanctions 'will destroy Europe's economy'
Josep Borrell insisted the restrictions are not a mistake, after Hungarian PM Viktor Orban called them "miscalculated" The EU's top diplomat has hit back at those who criticize the Western sanctions slapped on Russia, saying on Monday that he does not believe them to be a mistake, and adding that the bloc will continue to stand by its policies. "There is a big debate about 'are the sanctions effective? Are the sanctions affecting us more than Russia?' Some European leaders have been saying that the sanctions were an error, were a mistake. Well, I do not think they were a mistake, it is what we had to do and we will continue doing," Josep Borrell, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, told reporters prior to the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Brussels.

Imran Khan rewrites Pakistan's political history
Against the odds and powerful rivals pitted against him, former PM Khan's win in Punjab elections is a victory for democracy and Pakistan's sovereignty. It is an unsavoury proposition always, be it in India or Pakistan, when political power is usurped by fly-by-night operators who engineer defections from a ruling party, and an established government gets overthrown despite its mandate to govern. In India — so far, at least — such shenanigans leading to regime change at the federal or state level have not been manipulated by foreign powers — except, perhaps, in the ouster of the first communist government in the southern state of Kerala, way back in 1959. In South Asian politics, Nepal, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Maldives have been chronic cases where foreign interference in their domestic politics has become endemic. But they are either small countries or weak states, vulnerable to external pressure.

Lawsuit alleges famed candy Skittles is 'unsafe for human consumption'
A California man is suing the candy maker Mars, alleging Skittles contains a "known toxin," making the popular candy "unfit for human consumption." On Thursday, San Leandro resident Jenile Thames filed a lawsuit seeking class-action status in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Attorneys for Thames said Skittles were unsafe for consumers because they contain "heightened levels" of titanium dioxide. Mars Inc. uses titanium dioxide to produce Skittles' rainbow of artificial colors. In 2016, the Mars publicly stated its intention to remove additive from its products. However, the Thursday complaint noted it is still used in products like Skittles today. In a statement sent by Mars to several other news outlets, the company said: "While we do not comment on pending litigation, our use of titanium dioxide complies with FDA regulations."

ArriveCan 'glitch' ordering vaccinated Canadians into quarantine without reason
According to the government of Canada's ArriveCan app, David Crouch should be at home, avoiding all contact, quarantining, to protect others from the COVID-19 there is absolutely no indication he has. Crouch is quadruple vaccinated, has not tested positive for COVID-19 and is showing no symptoms. The border guard who waved him back into Canada last week said nothing about getting a COVID test, or quarantine, but when he got home he found an email and a notification in his ArriveCan app, telling him to stay home for two weeks. Crouch lives in Ridgeway, Ont., a 15-minute drive from the Canada-U.S. border and like many living in border communities, he has American friends he visits regularly. He also picks up groceries on the other side of the border. He said there was no hint of an issue at the border, so the email hit him like a ton of bricks. "I checked my email and there's an email from ArriveCan, saying you are quarantined. This is your second day of quarantine," he said.
