No more German army weapons for Ukraine, is 'constantly coordinating' with Kiev to facilitate purchases directly from manufacturers - Berlin
The German military can no longer supply Ukraine with weapons from its stockpiles, Germany's Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht has said. In an interview with Die Augsburger Allgemeine Zeitung published on Saturday, Lambrecht said that while "we all have an obligation to support Ukraine in its courageous fight," in terms of "supplies from the Bundeswehr's stockpiles" Germany has "in the meantime reached a limit." She explained that the German military had to "be able to ensure" the country's own defense. "But that doesn't mean we can't do more for Ukraine," Lambrecht stressed, suggesting that Kiev could buy equipment it needed from German manufacturers directly. The minister pointed out that the German government "was constantly coordinating" with the authorities in Kiev to facilitate such purchases. Comment: Ukraine is basically bankrupt, whose money are they using? The $13 BILLION in US aid? Is Germany intending to make a profit in these deals, as it has been doing when...

YouTube blocks Russian parliament's channel
YouTube blocked a Russian parliamentary channel "for a violation of YouTube's Terms of Service" amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Reuters reported. The video platform terminated the channel for Russia's lower house of parliament. "If we find that an account violates our Terms of Service, we take appropriate action. Our teams are closely monitoring the situation for any updates and changes," Google, YouTube's parent company, told Reuters in an email, noting that it was committed to trade compliance law adherence and sanction compliance. But the move drew outrage from Russian figures and Russian internet regulator Roskomnadzor.

Trump wants to make it illegal for employers to fire unvaccinated workers
Former President Donald Trump called on Republicans to make it unlawful for employers to fire unvaccinated employees if the GOP regains a majority in Congress after the November midterms. "One of the first things that we will do with our new Republican majority is to end every last covid mandate. They're still around, it's hard to believe," Trump told a crowd in North Carolina on Saturday evening. "We will pass a bill making it illegal for any employer to interfere in personal health decisions or to fire employees simply for not having the vaccine." Trump also called on Republicans to investigate Democrat politicians who collude with teachers' unions to keep parents out of their children's classrooms: A Republican Majority must investigate the collusion between Democrat Party politicians and the teachers unions to keep our children out of school for no scientific reason. The irreversible harm that Democrat politicians did to our young people is unforgivable — and American voters...

JPMorgan predicts that global commodities prices may rise by 40 percent
Commodities prices could rise by 40 percent and will likely continue to go higher, according to a note from JPMorgan Chase from April 7, as raw materials hit a record high last month following Western sanctions on Russia due to its invasion of Ukraine. Russia is a main supplier for up to 10 percent of global energy production and about 20 percent of global wheat production. The commodities affected include oil, which is already up 33 percent from the same month the previous year, while natural gas has gone up by 65 percent since the invasion roiled the markets. Metals excluding gold, such as copper, are up by 7 percent from 2021, while wheat has surged upward by 33 percent. The bank said it was reviewing the long-term positioning in commodities by global investors, and compared that to allocations in cash, stocks, and bonds.

40% of Belgian food producers to halt or reduce activity amidst shortages and soaring costs
As the war in Ukraine rages on, fears for global food security are growing. Even from the relative stability of Belgium, consumers are already feeling the effects. Now, it's producers who are sounding the alarm. According to Fevia, the Federation of the Belgian Food Industry, up to 40% of food producers in Belgium are planning to temporarily halt or reduce their business. Around 12% of the world's calories come from Ukrainian and Russian wheat. The war may prevent Ukrainian farmers from harvesting their crops in the near future and Russia has blocked ships exporting grain in response to international sanctions. This has had a profound impact on the global supply chain. There are even fears that supply shortages could worsen famine in vulnerable regions of Africa. Comment: Some might think that's far enough away to not be a problem for them, however as we saw with the impact of the West's wars on the Middle East, this will likely exacerbate the issue of mass migration.

SOTT FOCUS: Putting big bad pharma back on trial in the COVID-19 era
After graduating from Columbia University with a chemical engineering degree, my grandfather went on to work for Pfizer for almost two decades, culminating his career as the company's Global Director of New Products. I was rather proud of this fact growing up — it felt as if this father figure, who raised me for several years during my childhood, had somehow played a role in saving lives. But in recent years, my perspective on Pfizer — and other companies in its class — has shifted. Blame it on the insidious big pharma corruption laid bare by whistleblowers in recent years. Blame it on the endless string of big pharma lawsuits revealing fraud, deception, and cover-ups. Blame it on the fact that I witnessed some of their most profitable drugs ruin the lives of those I love most. All I know is, that pride I once felt has been overshadowed by a sticky skepticism I just can't seem to shake. In 1973, my grandpa and his colleagues celebrated as Pfizer crossed a milestone: the...

Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan dismissed after losing no-confidence vote, follows threat by US envoy
Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan has been unseated after losing a no-confidence vote in the parliament. The vote came after hours of impasse that even resulted in the resignation of the speaker of the lower house. Now, a caretaker government will lead the country until new general elections are held. The no-confidence vote came after a nearly 14-hour standoff between the opposition and Khan's ruling party that started on Saturday morning. According to the House speaker, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, opposition parties were able to secure 174 votes in the 342-member house in support of the no-confidence motion, making it a majority vote. There were just a few legislators of Khan's ruling party present for the process.

Megathrust earthquake & tsunami 3,800 years ago kept hunter-gatherers in Chile inland for 1,000 years
An international team of researchers has found evidence of a megathrust earthquake occurring approximately 3,800 years ago off the coast of what is now Chile. In their paper published in the journal Science Advances, the team describes evidence they found of the ensuing tsunami and its impact on the people who lived in the area at the time. In 1966, a massive earthquake shook the ground in southern Chile. Seismographs showed it to be 9.5 on the Richter scale — the strongest earthquake in recorded history. In this new effort, the researchers have found evidence of an equally strong earthquake occurring in roughly the same area approximately 3,800 years ago — one that set off a massive tsunami that wreaked havoc on the early hunter-gatherers who were living along the coast.

Strong shallow magnitude 6.3 earthquake off Vanuatu
Magnitude 6.1 earthquake strikes near Santo, Luganville, Sanma Province, Vanuatu According to preliminary data, the quake was located at a shallow depth of 10 km. Shallow earthquakes are felt more strongly than deeper ones as they are closer to the surface. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report. A second report was later issued by the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, which listed it as a magnitude 6.1 earthquake as well. Other agencies reporting the same quake include the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) at magnitude 6.3, and France's Réseau National de Surveillance Sismique (RéNaSS) at magnitude 5.7. Generally quakes of this magnitude are recorded by more than one agency and the results can vary, with subsequent reports that come in after the first one often showing more accuracy.

The first 2022 snow is here! Lesotho in South Africa wakes up to stunning snowfall
It is cold. It is very very cold. While we're not quite in winter yet, parts of the country feel absolutely freezing this weekend. While flood warnings and rain pours down in parts of Gauteng, Lesotho has been blessed with some beautiful snowfall. Even though some snow was also expected in Drakenberg, it seems those mountains have remained snow-free as of Sunday morning. Pictures sent to local storm watchers Snow Report SA, show that residents and visitors to the AfriSki lodge in the Lesotho mountains, woke up to some beautiful scenes. The snow in the area is also expected to continue to fall throughout the rest of the day.

China's military cargo planes land in Serbia
A fleet of six Y-20 cargo planes of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force was reportedly spotted in Serbia on Saturday, with observers saying on Sunday that it could be the largest overseas operation by the Chinese domestically developed large transport plane yet, displaying the country's strategic transport capabilities. Citing commercial flight trackers, US news website thedrive.com reported on Saturday that the six Y-20 aircraft were first spotted heading west in Turkish airspace late Friday night, and later local residents took photos of the Y-20s, which allegedly landed in Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade, Serbia. The aircraft later flew over the Bosphorus Strait in Turkey again on their way back to China. China has not made an official announcement about the mission as of press time, but the Global Times learned that the Y-20s indeed have carried out such a flight. A whopping six Y-20 large transport aircraft could mark an unprecedented overseas operation,...

Escobar:The Total War to Cancel Russia
By now it's abundantly clear that the neo-Orwellian "Two Minute Hate" Russophobic campaign launched by the Empire of Lies after the start of Operation Z is actually "24/7 Hate". Vast swathes of NATOstan have been corralled into behaving like a Russophobic lynch mob. No dissent is tolerated. The full psyops has de facto upgraded the Empire of Lies to the status of Empire of Hate in a Total War - hybrid and otherwise - to cancel Russia. Hate, after all, packs way more punch than mere lies, which are now veering into abject ridiculousness, as in U.S. "intelligence" resorting to - what else - lies to fight the info war against Russia. If the propaganda overdrive has been lethally effective amidst the zombified Western masses - call it a "win" in the P.R. war - in the front where it really matters, inside Russia, it's a major fail. Public opinion support for both Operation Z and President Putin is unprecedented. After videos of torture of Russian POWs that caused widespread revulsion,...

Mass shooting suspect served less time with California law
A suspect arrested in connection with last weekend's mass shooting outside bars near the California state Capitol served less than half his 10-year sentence because of voter-approved changes to state law that lessened the punishment for his felony convictions and provided a chance for earlier release. Smiley Allen Martin was freed in February after serving time for punching a girlfriend, dragging her from her home by her hair and whipping her with a belt, according to court and prison records. Those count as nonviolent offenses under California law, which considers only about two dozen crimes to be violent felonies — things like murder, rape, arson and kidnapping. Martin, 27, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and possession of a machine gun. He is among the 12 people wounded during Sunday's shooting, which killed six others. Police say the violence was a shootout between rival gangs in which at least five people fired weapons,...

America is still paying the price for Hillary Clinton's election campaign treachery
However this era of angry polarization, crime and violence ends, it will be left to historians to decipher how America got so far off track. Instead of building on our unprecedented prosperity and role as the world's ultimate superpower, we declared war — cultural, political and social — on each other. Even our nation's Founders are not spared. The reasons will be better understood in hindsight, but it's hard to believe the 2016 presidential campaign won't be seen as an inflection point. Our move toward disunion didn't begin then, but it certainly gained steam and vitriol during and after the election of Donald Trump. Two recent developments illustrate how that campaign remains a radioactive hot spot. With both developments centering on Hillary Clinton, they underscore her role and the depths of her venality. Just when you think you've seen the worst of her, proof emerges that she was even more duplicitous than we knew.

Texas begins dispatching busses to the border to transport illegal immigrants to DC
The Texas Division of Emergency Management tells Fox News Digital each bus can 'carry up to 40 migrants' Texas has dispatched buses to the southern border to retrieve illegal immigrants after Gov. Greg Abbott said this week that he planned to send those released in his state to the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. Within the last 24 hours, the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) has dispatched an unspecified number of buses to small Texas communities that are said by officials to be overwhelmed by an influx of migrants placed there by the federal government. Seth Christensen, chief of media and communications for TDEM, told Fox News Digital: "In the last 24 hours, TDEM has dispatched buses to areas where communities have expressed concerns about the federal government dropping off migrants and has the capability to send as many as is necessary to fulfill the requests from mayors and county judges."

Orban's conservative-multipolar example exposes Kaczynski as a liberal-globalist fraud
The New Cold War has officially come to Central Europe after Polish grey cardinal Jaroslaw Kaczynski strongly condemned his supposed ally Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban over the latter's skeptical stance towards the Bucha incident and refusal to support Kiev against Moscow in general. The most powerful man in Poland said that "My assessment is unequivocally negative — I must admit that it is all very sad. When Orbán says that he cannot see what happened in Bucha, he must be advised to see an eye doctor. We cannot cooperate as we had in the past if this continues." This strong condemnation comes after Kaczynski's ruling "Law & Justice" (PiS per its Polish abbreviation) party sacrificed its conservative-nationalist credentials by reversing its anti-refugee stance and accepting literally millions of such people from neighboring Ukraine. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki also boasted about how Poland set the global standard for Russophobia. Poland has done everything in its...
