Serbia claims NATO fighter jet flew under passenger plane in Russian airspace
An unknown fighter jet sped under an Air Serbia Airbus A330 as the aircraft was crossing Russian-Latvian border on a flight between Moscow (SVO) and Belgrade (BEG), Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic said in an interview on national television. According to Vucic, the fighter jet flew under Air Serbia's aircraft in Russian airspace on April 6, 2022. Vucic read out what he said was a report from a pilot on the flight: "Not far from the Russian-Latvian border, Russian Air Traffic Control sent us traffic information to warn us about an aircraft nearby. Two minutes later they asked us to visually identify the aircraft." Vucic said. "The plane in question. It was a military fighter jet. It resembled the "Phantom 15" or the Eurofighter the most, gray in color."

NOTE: The lawyer representing the student's Twitter thread states that he is representing fifteen students, while the student's fundraiser states that sixteen are involved in the lawsuit. According to the group's fundraising page, which provides a timeline for Ryerson University's implementation of discriminatory policies, up to 3,600 students were deregistered from their programs. Those filing the lawsuit say they are "seeking damages and an injunction to prevent the university from enforcing the mandate in the future."

Russia suspended from UN Human Rights Council for 'systematic abuses'
The UN General Assembly has voted to suspend Russia from the Human Rights Council over reports of "gross and systematic violations and abuses of human rights" by invading Russian troops in Ukraine. The resolution received 93 votes in favor, 24 against, and 58 abstentions. The U.S.-initiated resolution adopted by the 193-member General Assembly expressed "grave concern at the ongoing human rights and humanitarian crisis in Ukraine." Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba expressed his gratitude to the UN members who voted in favor of suspending Russia from the Geneva-based 47-member council, which is the UN's leading human rights organization. The rebuke marked only the second time a country has been dismissed from the council, which was founded in 2006. Libya's suspension in 2011 was the first. The Russian Foreign Ministry rejected the suspension, calling the move "illegal and politically motivated, aimed at ostentatiously punishing a sovereign UN member state that pursues an...

BEST OF THE WEB: Tochka-U missile kills dozens waiting to evacuate from Kramatorsk rail station - West immediately blames Russia - UPDATE: Serial number suggests Ukraine responsible
Thirty-nine people have been killed and more than 100 wounded in a Russian missile strike on a railway station in eastern Ukraine in what President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said was a deliberate attack on civilians. Comment: The propaganda is immediate and unequivocal. It is also mere assertion. Things aren't so cut-and-dried. Ukraine's state railway company said two Russian rockets struck the station on April 8 in Kramatorsk, which was being used to evacuate civilians from areas that are expected to come under heavy attack as Moscow redirects its war efforts to focus on eastern areas where the separatists it has backed since 2014 have been fighting Ukrainian troops. "Lacking the strength and courage to stand up to us on the battlefield, they are cynically destroying the civilian population," Zelenskiy said in a statement. "This is an evil that has no limits. And if it is not punished, it will never stop." Comment: Zelensky is a war criminal. The evil of the Ukrainian regime seemingly...

The Total War to Cancel Russia
By now it's abundantly clear that the neo-Orwellian "Two Minute Hate" Russophobic campaign launched by the Empire of Lies after the start of Operation Z is actually "24/7 Hate". Vast swathes of NATOstan have been corralled into behaving like a Russophobic lynch mob. No dissent is tolerated. The full psyops has de facto upgraded the Empire of Lies to the status of Empire of Hate in a Total War - hybrid and otherwise - to cancel Russia. Hate, after all, packs way more punch than mere lies, which are now veering into abject ridiculousness, as in U.S. "intelligence" resorting to - what else - lies to fight the info war against Russia. If the propaganda overdrive has been lethally effective amidst the zombified Western masses - call it a "win" in the P.R. war - in the front where it really matters, inside Russia, it's a major fail. Public opinion support for both Operation Z and President Putin is unprecedented. After videos of torture of Russian POWs that caused widespread revulsion,...

Ex-Russian president warns sanctions on Russia will 'erode the world order'
The sanctions imposed on Moscow will lead to the collapse of international institutions, including the UN, Medvedev claims The unprecedented sanctions that Western nations have imposed on Russia since the start of its military offensive in Ukraine only further erode the existing system of international institutions and the authority of the UN, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev warned in a Telegram post on Friday. Initially, the word 'sanctions' only applied to measures imposed by the UN Security Council, he argued, adding that everything Western nations call 'sanctions' today is nothing but unilateral restrictions that are inadmissible under international law.

Journalist Doocy and WH talking-head Psaki spar over VP Harris not wearing mask
Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy sparred Friday with White House press secretary Jen Psaki over Vice President Kamala Harris not wearing a mask after COVID-19 exposure. Doocy asked if there was "a carveout" in regulations put forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for the vice president after Harris hugged newly-confirmed Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. The CDC recommends that individuals who are up to date on their COVID-19 vaccines and exposed to virus should wear a "well-fitting" mask for 10 days and get tested at least 5 days after exposure. "You mean when she gave her a hug outside?" Psaki said. "Yes," Doocy said. "She was outside — " the press secretary began.

US rejects Pakistan PM Imran Khan's allegations of 'conspiracy' to overthrow his govt
Friday's rebuttal was the third time the US has publicly commented on Khan's allegations. Previously, it was reported that the state department had dismissed the allegation when it initially broke in late March The US has bluntly rejected Pakistan's embattled Prime Minister Imran Khan's latest allegations of a "foreign conspiracy" plotted in Washington to overthrow his government with the help of the Opposition parties, saying there is "absolutely no truth" to these claims. Khan has been claiming that the Opposition's no-confidence motion against him was the result of a foreign conspiracy because of his independent foreign policy and funds were being channelled from abroad to oust him from power. In an address to the nation on Friday, the 69-year-old prime minister reiterated his allegations that a senior US diplomat threatened regime change in Pakistan. Khan has alleged that Donald Lu, assistant secretary, Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs in the Department of State was...

Justice: 2 - FBI: 0: Two men acquitted, jury deadlocked on 2 others in Michigan Gov. Whitmer 'kidnapping plot'
Two of four men were acquitted Friday in a conspiracy to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in 2020, motivated by fury at the Democrat's tough COVID-19 restrictions early in the pandemic. The verdicts against Daniel Harris and Brandon Caserta were read in the federal court in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Jurors said they couldn't agree on verdicts against Adam Fox and Barry Croft Jr. Prosecutors described Fox as a ringleader of an anti-government group. Earlier in the day, the jurors said that there are several counts which the deliberative body were deadlocked on. Testimony began on March 9. "It is not unusual to come back somewhere along the line of deliberations and say 'we tried, but couldn't get there,'" U.S. District Judge Robert Jonker said, according to Detroit News. "At least not on everything."

Refusing 'rublegas' starting to bite: No German glass without Russian gas
An entire industry could stop if Germany loses Russian supplies A complete cessation of Russian gas supplies could damage Germany's energy-intensive enterprises, especially glassmakers, German TV channel Das Erste reported, citing industry insiders. According to the publication, producing glass involves the raw materials at glass-producing factories being heated to 1,600 degrees Celsius, and then maintained at this temperature around the clock to prevent the raw glass from hardening. The process demands a significant amount of energy, a large amount of which is derived from Russian-sourced natural gas. Germany is in fact the EU's biggest buyer of natural gas from Russia, which covers 58.9% of the country's needs, according to the statistics agency Eurostat.

Dozens hospitalised as Iraq engulfed by dust storm
Baghdad and other cities covered in ghostly orange dust, causing respiratory issues A dust storm has swept through much of Iraq, leaving dozens of people in hospital with respiratory problems, a health ministry spokesperson said on Saturday. The storm formed in the north of the country on Thursday, prompting the cancellation of flights serving Erbil, capital of the autonomous Kurdistan region. As the storm swept south, it shrouded Baghdad and cities as far south as Nasiriyah in a ghostly orange. In the capital, buildings and vehicles were covered in ochre-coloured dust, Agence France-Presse (AFP) journalists reported.

The US intel community killed its own credibility by revealing its Ukraine policies
Using disinformation to thwart an enemy is one thing. Spreading it to your own public and policymakers is another The US intelligence community has long claimed that integrity in the search for truth was its core value. In March 1992, Robert Gates, who at that time was serving as director of Central Intelligence, addressed the CIA's analytical community on the issue of politicized intelligence. "Bourne Cockran [note: an Irish-American politician known for his oratory skills who mentored Winston Churchill]," Gates noted, "wrote to Winston Churchill in 1895 that, 'What the people really want to hear is the truth - it is the exciting thing - speak the simple truth. Twenty years later, Churchill himself wrote, 'The truth is incontrovertible; panic may resent it; ignorance may deride it; malice may destroy it, but there it is.' Truth, insofar as we can determine it, is what our [i.e., the CIA's] work is all about." Moreover, Gates pointed out, "because seeking truth is what we [the CIA]...

Ron DeSantis has raised more money than any other candidate for governor ever, report says
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis may soon raise more money for his re-election campaign than he and his former Democratic opponent Andrew Gillum raised combined in the 2018 gubernatorial election. DeSantis has raised more than $100 million for his 2022 campaign, a monstrous sum achieved entirely through donations. He raised $6.1 million in March alone, according to CNN, and had previously reported raising a total of $96 million for this election cycle through February. In comparison, the leading Democratic candidate to challenge DeSantis this year, Rep. Charlie Crist, has raised only $7.1 million and has $4.7 million cash on hand. Another Democratic candidate, state Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried, raised just $6 million so far and has spent more than half of that in the Democratic primary campaign. The March fundraising numbers will be officially released Monday, which is the Florida deadline to report candidate fundraising. To put the $100 million figure in perspective, DeSantis...

Alberta's chief medical officer grilled during civil suit
Alberta provincial health officer Dr. Deena Hinshaw faced her fourth straight day of questioning in an Alberta courtroom on Thursday as an unprecedented civil suit against the province's COVID restrictions continues. Lawyers with the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF) have zeroed in on Hinshaw's use of certain language - including "non-believers," "conspiracy theory," "naysayers," "new normal" - and social justice commitments, as well as a highly publicized incident from October that saw Hinshaw apologize for initially blaming the death of a 14-year-old on COVID when he had actually died of brain cancer. The long-delayed trial began this week, with JCCF lawyers representing a number of churches and individuals - including a gym owner - who had filed a constitutional challenge in Dec. 2020. At that time, the plaintiffs had filed for an injunction against Alberta's restrictions - including lockdowns involving their businesses, places of worship and family gatherings -...
