Biden babbles and lies about being an 18 wheeler truck driver... AGAIN
Bizarrely claims he had a female truck driver colleague called 'Big Mama'. During a speech Monday regarding trucking supply chains, Joe Biden bizarrely claimed that he used to be a truck driver, had an 18 wheeler that he drove around, as well as a colleague called 'Big Mama'. In one of the most flagrant examples of Biden just making up stuff, he said "I used to drive a truck. It's a long story - anyway... and I thought I was gonna get to drive one of these suckers today," while motioning to one of the prop Mack trucks behind him.

Seabirds are dying by the hundreds in western Newfoundland, Canada
Residents speculating about cause of the die-off, with similar reports in Labrador Dead seabirds are showing up by the hundreds on the ice and on shore near the town of Hampden in western Newfoundland, leaving residents and biologists stumped and searching for the reason why. Longtime resident and murre hunter Gary Gale told CBC News on Friday he has never seen an event of this magnitude before. He said birds began to fly into the bay about a week ago — and within a few days they began to die. "[It's] unbelievable," Gale said. "Several years ago it was common to see seabirds that would pick up oil if you had an oil spill and die from picking up the oil, but I did make a check on some of the birds close to shore and I didn't see any oil in the feathers." Gale said residents believe the birds — which so far seem to be entirely murres — are dying of starvation.

The Coming Global Financial Revolution: Russia Is Following the American Playbook
No country has successfully challenged the U.S. dollar's global hegemony — until now. How did this happen and what will it mean? Foreign critics have long chafed at the "exorbitant privilege" of the U.S. dollar as global reserve currency. The U.S. can issue this currency backed by nothing but the "full faith and credit of the United States." Foreign governments, needing dollars, not only accept them in trade but buy U.S. securities with them, effectively funding the U.S. government and its foreign wars. But no government has been powerful enough to break that arrangement - until now. How did that happen and what will it mean for the U.S. and global economies? The Rise and Fall of the PetroDollar First, some history: The U.S. dollar was adopted as the global reserve currency at the Bretton Woods Conference in 1944, when the dollar was still backed by gold on global markets. The agreement was that gold and the dollar would be accepted interchangeably as global reserves, the dollars...

Disturbing study finds microplastics in human bloodstream
There's a good chance that tiny pieces of plastic are not only in your body but floating in your bloodstream. The news came from researchers in The Netherlands, who analyzed blood samples from 22 healthy volunteers. It's the first time microplastics have been detected in human blood, and according to study author professor Dick Vethaak, an ecotoxicologist at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in The Netherlands, "It is certainly reasonable to be concerned."1 The fact is, plastic is a ubiquitous part of the modern-day world, integrally intertwined with our daily lives, from plastic food packaging and bottles to microbeads found in personal care products. It's estimated that 11 million metric tons of plastic waste enter the world's oceans annually — an amount that could nearly triple by 2040.2

Heavy spring snowfall across the Cascades, Washington
Hello Snow Lovers, if you aren't already knee deep in powder here's why you should be! All the wind we just experienced in the last two days, (April 3rd and 4th), carried in plenty of new snow. Here's a round-up of 48-hour accumulation along with how much longer the ski resorts keep the lifts going. Not unprecedented but certainly unusual! A Spring storm that brings two, to more than three, feet of snow to the Washington Cascades in the beginning of April! It's the storm that blew in wind gusts from 35 to 64 mph in the lowlands and blasted the Cascades with heavy snow and a wind gust measured at Mount Rainier of 90 mph.

Biden, Zelensky and the Neocons: When you are in a hole, you can always dig deeper
There are many backstories surfacing from what is going on in Ukraine and Washington that have been largely ignored amid the drumbeat of casualty counts combined with claims and counter-claims from the two sides. Two stories that I believe have received insufficient attention are the US government's three decades long obsession with weakening and de facto destroying the Russian state and the dominant neocon plus associate liberal democracy promoter role in what has become American foreign policy. To be sure, anyone who doubts that the US is currently on a course to not only replace President Vladimir Putin but also to crash the Russian economy is delusional. Washington has been trying to deconstruct the former Soviet Union ever since 1991, beginning with President Bill Clinton's expansion of NATO into Eastern Europe in spite of a pledge not to do so and his unleashing the oligarchs who looted the country's natural resources under President Boris Yeltsin. The pressure continued...

New experiment could confirm the fifth state of matter
A University of Portsmouth physicist has designed an experiment - which if proved correct - means he will have discovered that information is the fifth form of matter. An experiment which could confirm the fifth state of matter in the universe - and change physics as we know it - has been published in a new paper from the University of Portsmouth. Physicist Dr Melvin Vopson has already published research suggesting that information has mass and that all elementary particles, the smallest known building blocks of the universe, store information about themselves, similar to the way humans have DNA. Now he has designed an experiment - which if proved correct - means he will have discovered that information is the fifth form of matter, alongside solid, liquid, gas and plasma.

The world's oldest pants are a 3,000-year-old marvel of engineering
With the help of an expert weaver, archaeologists have unraveled the design secrets behind the world's oldest pants. The 3,000-year-old wool trousers belonged to a man buried between 1000 and 1200 BCE in Western China. To make them, ancient weavers combined four different techniques to create a garment specially engineered for fighting on horseback, with flexibility in some places and sturdiness in others. The softer side of materials science Most of us don't think much about pants these days, except to lament having to put them on in the morning. But trousers were actually a technological breakthrough. Mounted herders and warriors needed their leg coverings to be flexible enough to let the wearer swing a leg across a horse without ripping the fabric or feeling constricted. At the same time, they needed some added reinforcement at crucial areas like the knees. It became, to some extent, a materials-science problem. Where do you want something elastic, and where do you want...

Durham Filing: Text message implicates Hillary Clinton campaign in 'conspiracy'
A text message unveiled by Special Counsel John H. Durham Monday appears to provide evidence that Michael Sussmann, a lawyer for the Hillary Clinton campaign, misled the FBI when reporting claims about candidate Donald Trump and Russia. The text message is being described as a "smoking gun" by some observers because it appears to be written corroboration of charges against Sussmann. Furthermore, evidence in Durham's filing also implicates the Clinton campaign in a "conspiracy." Sussmann is on trial for lying to the FBI, allegedly because he presented himself as a concerned citizen rather than a lawyer working for the Clinton campaign. His claims about a Trump connection to Russia via Alfa Bank were debunked as a hoax.
