Ukrainian leftist criticizes West's drive to war with Russia: US is using Ukraine as 'cannon fodder'
A left-wing peace activist raised in Ukraine explains how the US government created the crisis, backing two coups in a decade, fueling a devastating civil war, and exploiting his nation as a proxy against Russia. I am a Ukrainian-American. I grew up and spent over half of my life in Ukraine, although now I live in the United States. I wanted to explain my thoughts on the ongoing crisis with Russia, because mainstream corporate media outlets don't ever share perspectives like mine. It is definitely a stressful time, for obvious reasons. Fortunately, my family and friends in the country are alive and are doing well enough under the circumstances. Unfortunately, in the past decade this isn't the first time I have had to check in on my loved ones there, and for basically the same reasons. This is what I wanted to talk about. You see, the US government has meddled in Ukraine for decades. And the Ukrainian people have suffered because of this.

Independent MPP Randy Hillier has been asked to surrender himself to the Ottawa Police over Freedom Convoy-related charges. Hillier, who represents the Ontario riding of Lanark — Frontenac — Kingston, is being charged on nine counts. According to Hillier, he is being charged on three counts of counseling others to an uncommitted indictable offense, one count of obstructing a person who was aiding a public or peace officer, two counts of obstructing a public officer, one count of assault against a police officer and two counts of mischief to obstruct property greater than $5000 in value. "I don't know how you can can obstruct property. Typically we think of obstructing people, not property," Hillier told The Post Millennial regarding the mischief to obstruct property charge.

Hunter Biden's laptops are now an active national security threat
An urgent concern for the country is the continuing threat to our national security posed by a compromised President Biden. On Friday, The Daily Mail reported that emails recovered from Hunter Biden's laptop show he helped an infectious disease research company pursue projects in Ukraine. Those emails confirm portions of charges Russia made the previous day that an investment group run by the now-president's son had funded a company conducting research at biological laboratories in Ukraine. While these developments add another scandal to the long list of Biden family dirty laundry, the more urgent concern for the country should be the continuing threat to our national security posed by a compromised President Biden and the possibility that Russia has access to the catalog of compromising material contained on Hunter's laptop.

Russia sets rubles-for-gas payment deadline
President Putin says 'unfriendly countries' must switch to its currency by March 31 Russian President Vladimir Putin has authorized the government, the central bank, and Gazprombank to take the necessary steps to switch all payments for Russian natural gas from "unfriendly states" to rubles starting March 31. The measure targets "member states of the EU and other countries that have introduced restrictions against citizens of the Russian Federation and Russian legal entities," the mandate published on the Kremlin website reads. Russia will stop shipping natural gas to countries refusing to settle payments in rubles, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.

Ejection nebula of supernova Cassiopeia A does not expand evenly
The inner nebula of the much-studied supernova Cassiopeia A is not moving smoothly outward. This has been discovered by astronomers from the University of Amsterdam and Harvard. The astronomers suspect that the remains have collided with something. Their finding have been accepted for publication in The Astrophysical Journal. Cassiopeia A is the remnant of an exploded star in the Cassiopeia constellation, about 11,000 light years away from us. Light from the explosion should have reached Earth for the first time around 1670. However, there was too much gas and dust around the star for the explosion to be seen with the naked eye or with the then very basic telescopes. The Cassiopeia A explosion nebula is expanding at an average rate of 4,000 to 6,000 kilometers per second and has a temperature of about 30 million degrees Celsius. The expansion is most likely occurring in gas that was blown out by the star long before the explosion. Cassiopeia A is now about 16 light years across....

Locust swarms destroy crops in Eastern Cape, South Africa
Locust swarms hit Eastern Cape, South Africa on March 28 2022. During March, a high number of locusts have been seen in the region, causing widespread damage to crops. Traffic was stopped as locust swarms filled the sky, blocking visibility and making travel dangerous. These locust swarms follow a period of drought in the region, with fears that it will lead to a shortage of food supplies in the area. Authorities are working to contain the damage done, with warnings remaining in place.

'Regina, change' what Biden said, clarifies White House Blinken
THE USA has clarified president Joe Biden's remarks at the weekend about removing Vladimir Putin from power, stating that they have no intention of fomenting political unrest in a sovereign nation in a bid to depose the sitting government and install a new one with more favourable standpoint on the west's interests, adding 'heaven forbid, what a notion'. "I heard people say that President Biden was hinting at a US-backed... what was that they were calling it? A regime change? Regime change, am I saying that correctly?" said Secretary Of State Anthony Blinken, in a press conference called to discuss Biden's 'senior moment' in Warsaw. "Of course, we all agree that Vladimir Putin's reign has caused devastation for countless lives and political unrest across the world, but the notion that we would, haha, that we would somehow go about ousting him and getting one of our guys in there is laughable. How do you guys even come up with silly things like this?"

Beau Biden Foundation raked in nearly $4M in 2020, used only $550,000 on the charity's mission of preventing child abuse
The Beau Biden Foundation raked in nearly $4 million in 2020 but only spent some $550,000 on protecting children from abuse - what it states is its mission, according to tax filings. The Delaware-based foundation pulled in $3.9 million in 2020, including a $1.8 million infusion from The Biden Foundation, according to tax filings. It also took in a $225,000 donation from a top political donor to President Joe Biden, 79. Despite the extra $2 million, the charity only spent $544,961 toward its mission of protecting children from abuse. The foundation - which started less than a month after he died in 2015 - only spent about 58 percent of its budget on its mission in 2020, according to CharityWatch, a watchdog group. The group said top-rated non-profits typically spend around 75 percent the budget on programs.

Hillary Clinton's State Department spokesman just called for me to be financially investigated
In response to a Twitter thread I made about the mounting evidence that the Ukraine war was deliberately provoked by the US empire to orchestrate regime change in Moscow, a former Obama administration State Department spokesperson has called on his followers to investigate my funding. In a since-deleted Twitter post, Ian Kelly, who has held various White House positions under the Obama and Trump administrations including a year as State Department spokesperson under Hillary Clinton, posted the request "Somebody please follow her money" as a quote tweet to my aforementioned thread.

Kiev's war crimes against Russian POWs discredit the US-led West's cause
There's no doubt that their MSM will suppress this incident and then shamelessly spin it however they think is necessary in order to downplay what happened and ultimately distract their audience into focusing on something else in the very near future, but those who've already been made aware of what just occurred know what they saw with their own eyes. As George Orwell wrote in his famous 1984: "The party told you to reject all evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command." Shocking but not unsurprising footage has circulated across social media in recent days showing Kiev's fighters committing war crimes by torturing Russian prisoners of war (POW), some of whom seemed to have even died while these atrocious acts were being recorded. Russia immediately launched an investigation as did Kiev after senior presidential advisor Oleksiy Arestovych described it as "absolutely unacceptable behavior." Despite the latter's condemnation of these crimes, it's...

Our elites need to recognize that America's 'unipolar moment' is over
Writing in the current Washington Examiner, Anne Pierce suggests that the United States is today confronted by a new "Axis of Evil" composed of Russia, China, and Iran, which poses an existential threat to U.S. security. Pierce contends that American policymakers mistakenly pivoted to Asia when their focus should have been Russia and Europe. She calls on the Biden administration to wage economic warfare against Russia while providing Ukraine with whatever military material its leaders request, and to catalog Russian atrocities "with the aim of prosecuting Russia for war crimes." To refuse to do this, she writes, would be a "moral, strategic, and military failure of historic proportions." One could be forgiven for thinking that Pierce, who is the author of A Perilous Path: The Misguided Foreign Policy of Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry, believes that we are still operating in America's "unipolar moment." Her article suggests that the United States could and should...

India ready to bypass dollar in trade with Russia
A system allowing direct rupee-ruble payments in trade between Russia and India could be launched this week, the president of the Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO), A Sakthivel, told CNBC on Wednesday. The arrangement would allow India and Russia to carry out financial operations bypassing the US dollar. Russia is effectively blocked from using US currency due to Western sanctions over the conflict in Ukraine. According to the official, the Indian government is working on a proposal to allow up to five nationalized Indian banks to be engaged in the rupee-ruble trade mechanism, and discussions between the central bank governor, the finance minister, and the banks on the matter have already been held. The arrangement would let Indian exporters continue doing business with Russia despite sanctions banning, among other things, international payment mechanisms in the country, such as SWIFT. It would also let India continue buying Russian energy exports and other goods.

Russia says West not welcome in peace talks
Russia is eager for a diplomatic solution to the conflict in Ukraine, but it won't accept any Western mediation during its talks with Kiev, the Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said. "We're ready to give diplomacy a chance. That's why we agreed to the talks, which are resuming in Istanbul." The discussions are scheduled to continue on Tuesday. The Turkish government, which has good ties with both Russia and Ukraine, has put a great deal of effort into getting the two sides around the negotiating table. However, there's no need to include the EU or the US - which support Kiev in the conflict - in the peace process, according to the minister. He opined: "There are many examples of times when the achievements of diplomacy were shattered by Western colleagues. They can't be trusted anymore. I wouldn't want to see any shuttle diplomacy from our Western partners, because they've already done their 'shuttling' - in February 2014 in Ukraine and in February 2015 in Minsk."

Biden's reckless words underscore the dangers of the U.S.'s use of Ukraine as a proxy war
As grave of a threat as deliberate war is, unintended escalation from miscommunication and misperception can be as bad. Biden is the perfect vessel for such risks. The central question for Americans from the start of the war in Ukraine was what role, if any, should the U.S. government play in that war? A necessarily related question: if the U.S. is going to involve itself in this war, what objectives should drive that involvement? Prior to the U.S.'s jumping directly into this war, those questions were never meaningfully considered. Instead, the emotions deliberately stoked by the relentless media attention to the horrors of this war — horrors which, contrary to the West's media propaganda, are common to all wars, including its own — left little to no space for public discussion of those questions. The only acceptable modes of expression in U.S. discourse were to pronounce that the Russian invasion was unjustified, and, using parlance which the 2011 version of Chris Hayes correctly...

German minister tells people to wear a sweater to cope with soaring energy prices
Baden-Württemberg Minister of Agriculture and Consumer Protection Peter Hauk has backed a complete German ban on importing gas and oil from Russia in response to Moscow's military assault on Ukraine. Hauk supported the response to Russia's actions despite the impact it could have on his country's own citizens, who are already struggling with soaring energy prices that make it challenging for them to heat their homes. "You can withstand 15 degrees [Celsius] in winter in a sweater. No one dies of it. But people are dying elsewhere," Hauk said, referencing the toll Russia has inflicted on Ukraine.

Russian liberal newspaper suspends publication 'until Ukraine operation ends' after 2nd 'foreign agent' warning from regulator
The Moscow-based Novaya Gazeta newspaper has announced it will suspend its operations from Monday, after receiving the second notice in a row from the Russian media watchdog. "We received another warning from Roskomnadzor. After that, we are suspending the publication of the newspaper on the website, in [social] networks and in print - until the end of the 'special operation on the territory of Ukraine'," the outlet said in a brief statement. The outlet received the second warning from the regulator in a week on Monday. The notice came after the newspaper mentioned an unspecified "foreign agent" entity in one of its articles without identifying it as such, TASS reported. The first warning was lodged by Roskomnadzor last Tuesday over a similar issue related to coverage by "foreign agents."

Attacks on Russians in Germany skyrocket to 200 cases each week
Russian speakers in Germany are assaulted on a daily basis as hate crimes against both Russians and Ukrainians have spiked in the country, reaching a staggering 200 cases every week, according to Germany's police chief. "There are criminal offenses against members of our society of Russian origin as well as against members of Ukrainian origin. We are currently counting a good 200 such crimes a week, the majority of which are anti-Russian," Holger Münch, the president of Germany's Federal Criminal Police Office, said. "We will continue to experience new highs in the area of politically motivated crime in the face of new social challenges," the police chief concluded, in the same interview with German newspaper RND. Comment: Indeed. The government-media propaganda complex bears much of the responsibility; last year it was turning the public against those who question lockdowns, this year it's against Russia. Although anti-Russia hysteria has been in the works for many years now.

UAE energy chief reaffirms commitment to Opec alliance with Russia
The United Arab Emirates' energy minister on Monday reaffirmed an oil alliance with Russia, as governments across the globe shun Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine. Comment: 'Governments across the globe' highlighted in yellow, is technically correct: Suhail al-Mazrouei, a former president of the oil alliance, said that Russia, which exports roughly 10 million barrels of oil a day, is an important member of the global Opec energy alliance and no producer could substitute its production. "Unless someone is willing to come and bring 10 million barrels, we don't see that someone can substitute Russia," Mazrouei said during the Atlantic Council's global energy forum in Dubai.

Unhinged American psychos condemn India for not supporting war against Russia
The United States government is the king of the entire earth. They can force anyone to do anything, because of the strength of their values. No one is allowed to disagree with American wars. If people try to disagree with democracy wars, we will threaten and destroy them. That's not just our values - that's who we are. RT India's refusal to cast aside its longstanding friendship with Russia over the war in Ukraine is "unsatisfactory," US diplomat Mira Rapp-Hooper told an online conference hosted by the School of Advanced International Studies, while admitting it was also "unsurprising." Rapp-Hooper, director for the Indo-Pacific region on the White House's National Security Council, was specifically referring to India's recent votes at the United Nations, where it has declined to come out against Russian actions in Ukraine and remained silent in the Security Council votes on the matter. "I think we would certainly all acknowledge and agree that when it comes to votes at the UN,...

Ukraine pleads with Red Cross not to open office near its border in Russia
The ICRC says it has no data on Kiev's "forced evacuations" claims and its office in Rostov-on-Don would help all people in need Ukraine has called on the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) not to open an office in the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don, located near its eastern border, so it doesn't support what Kiev claims is the "abduction" and "forced deportation" of Ukrainians to Russia. The ICRC, commenting on Kiev's appeal on Sunday, told Reuters it had no first-hand information about reports of forced evacuations to Russia from Ukraine and did not facilitate any such operations. It said it was planning to open an office in Rostov-on-Don to increase its ability to help those in need. "Our priority is to reach victims of armed conflict, wherever they are, in order to assist them," the ICRC said. The decision to open an office in the city was taken by the charity following the visit to Russia of its president, Peter Maurer, from March 23 to 24.

US doubts Ukraine poisoning claim - media
American officials don't believe Roman Abramovich poisoning story, Reuters claims. Within hours of a claim from Bellingcat, on Monday, that Russian tycoon Roman Abramovich and two Ukrainian negotiators may have been poisoned by Moscow to stall peace talks in Ukraine, the US government has reportedly voiced doubt. Intelligence indicates that the symptoms allegedly suffered by Abramovich and two Ukrainian officials involved in peace talks with Russia may be due to environmental factors instead, Reuters reported, citing a US government official who spoke on condition of anonymity.
