Although the cloud of Sahara sand is not as dense as in the more western and southern countries Europe it caused today moonrise with a deep red full Moon. It was a unique and amazing sight.

Overview: "Yesterday I noticed that Antarctica has been engulfed by a massive positive temperature anomaly.

I checked the stratosphere but couldn't find anything, my best guess is a volcano named Mt Erebus is at the origin of this heat wave.

The jet stream (250 mb) enters Antarctica at that location but I wonder is it the cause or effect?

Searched for real time data of Mt Erebus but couldn't find any so I'm in the dark about that.

Antarctica has opposite seasons from the northern hemisphere.

Also remember much of the geology includes active volcanoes both above and below the ice. Below the water as well.

Lately more land surface has been exposed. Many "interesting formations" are censored from public view, although some are observed by sharp eyes and reported through back channels.

The coldest location on the planet has experienced an episode of warm weather this week unlike any ever observed, with temperatures over the eastern Antarctic ice sheet soaring 50 to 90 degrees above normal. The warmth has smashed records and shocked scientists. 

At a nearby weather station, the temperature reached 13.6 degrees (minus-10.2 Celsius) about 67 degrees (37 Celsius) above average, according to University of Wisconsin Antarctic researchers Linda Keller and Matt Lazzara.

Keller and Lazzara said in an email that such a high temperature is particularly noteworthy since March marks the beginning of autumn in Antarctica, rather than January, when there is more sunlight. At this time of year, Antarctica is losing about 25 minutes of sunlight each day.

Wille said the warm conditions over Antarctica were spurred by an extreme atmospheric river, or a narrow corridor of water vapor in the sky, on its east coast. According to computer models, the atmospheric river made landfall on Tuesday between the Dumont d’Urville and Casey Stations and dropped an intense amount of rainfall, potentially causing a significant melt event in the area.

WILL RATIONING BE ANOTHER FRAUD?

It occurs to me that there need not be actual shortages in order that rationing be introduced.

It only needs to be potential shortages. If rationing was effective, warehouses wouldn’t run out.

I mention this because I specifically envisaged a rationing System last year as the means of forcing vaccine uptake.

In France, the starting model is the requirement to display a valid VaxPass in order to access certain food shops (larger stores). 

Macron did this last summer & laid out a timetable for steady reductions in floor area requiring VaxPass. Initially, VaxPass was needed only for the largest stores like Bluewater in Kent (or Cap Trois Miles in Nice). Unvaccinated people would forgo access.

Then a month later, VaxPass was required to enter the largest supermarkets in a city. Then smaller stores. Eventually, my friend in Nice could shop only in the corner stores. 

(Fortunately, the system never went the next step, no in-person shopping at all; online only).

I foresaw resistance where a friend or relative with VaxPass would shop for unvaccinated people. That’s when I thought rationing might be introduced. Rationing means you won’t be able to get someone to shop for you. I think this is part of the reason they’re talking of introducing it.

Regulating a ration in WW2 meant using a ration book, where vouchers like a sheet of stamps would be torn out to pay for whatever. A modern version inevitably will use digital ID. VaxPass would be that digital ID.
