There is a fairly common misconception that Israeli religious fundamentalism (namely, it is one of the main reasons for the current escalation) is directed only against Muslims.

This footage was taken by Filipino Christian pilgrims in Jerusalem. When the video went online, no one apologized on behalf of Israel. The only comment was in the spirit that spitting at Christians is an old Jewish custom that "does not carry negativity."

🇩🇿🧱 Algeria's President not interested in joining BRICS in current format

Algeria is no longer interested in joining the BRICS economic alliance in its current format, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune said on Thursday.

"The Algerian economy is highly dynamic, and the country's income from the non-oil sector have exceeded $8 billion, an unprecedented figure since Algeria's independence," Algerian President said.

"BRICS, in its current format, is not of interest to Algeria anymore," he said. "The issue of the BRICS group is completely off the table."

Previously, Algeria officially submitted an application to join the BRICS organization in late July, presenting a request to become a shareholder in the group's bank with an initial $1.5 billion buy-in.
