You've probably heard Eddy's story. There's a fundraiser going on at https://www.gofundme.com/f/h7aewv-eddys-recovery, but since we admire Eddy's work in Ukraine so much, we asked how to help in other ways. He asked that we help spread his message. Czech and English texts and Eddy's message below and in the pictures. Copy out, share the images, tag Base UA (ngo Eddy is part of), spread the word in any way.

[CZE] Eddy přijel před třemi lety na Ukrajinu z Anglie. Pracoval jako dobrovolník, evakuoval do bezpečí civilisty z měst a vesnic na frontové linii. Ve čtvrtek se stal obětí ruského útoku. Na jeho dodávku, jasně označenou jako "evakuace civilistů”, zaútočil dron. Eddy v tu chvíli zrovna do bezpečí vezl několik lidí. Všichni mají drobná zranění, ale on to schytal nejvíc, protože řídil. Přišel o levou ruku a nohu. Eddyho přátelé dali ihned dohromady sbírku na finanční prostředky. Protože Eddyho práci neskutečně obdivujeme, zajímalo nás, jak pomoci. Níže zpráva přímo od Eddyho:
“Jednu věc pro mě udělat můžete. Nepřestávejte sdílet tenhle příběh. Nepřestávejte upozorňovat na to, že jde o válečný zločin. Nepotřebuju šířit můj vlastní, osobní příběh, to je mi fuk, ale myslím, že je zásadní, aby lidé věděli, s čím se tu potýkáme. Ať se Rusové snaží o jakoukoli propagandu, pravda je taková, že svoje drony posílají útočit na jasně označená auta civilistů. Lidé to musí vědět. To je nejlepší způsob, kterým mě můžete podpořit.”
[ENG] Eddy came to Ukraine 3 years ago from England. He worked as a volunteer, evacuating civilians from the front lines to safety. On Thursday, the car in which he was evacuating people was hit by a Russian drone. The car was clearly marked as an evacuation vehicle. The people in the car have minor injuries but Eddy was hit hard as he was the driver. He lost his left arm and leg. Eddy’s friends promptly created a fundraiser. We admire Eddy’s work and we wanted to know how to help. Eddy’s message below - and in the graphics.
“There’s one thing you can do: keep sharing this story. Keep pushing the fact that this is a war crime. I don’t care about my personal story getting out, but I think it’s very important that people know that this is what we are dealing with. However the Russians want to whitewash their image , at the end of the day, they’re sending drones into marked civilian vehicles and people need to know that. That’s the best way that you can support me right now.”

🇬🇧 We’d like to share pictures and videos from our FPV pilots. All the drones were made in collaboration of Collectives with Czech initiatives Solidrones and the Resistance Support Club.
The drones are built in Czechia and sent to Ukraine. Once we receive them in Kyiv, we either finalise adjustments or check them alongside our local production. When all the preparations are completed, we send them to the front lines, where FPVs help repel the Russian invasion.
It took us about a year to establish production and organise logistics across three locations (Brno–Prague–Kyiv). Now it is stabilized, and we will keep going.
If you want to join our efforts — by setting up your own workshop or joining an existing one — reach out to us or our partners based on your location. We’ll help you get started. Together, we are stronger, and making drones is a deeply satisfying way to support the Ukrainian resistance.
