Official Statement Regarding SynthSwap Audit Request

At SolidProof, transparency and professionalism are at the core of our operations. We feel it is important to address recent developments concerning the SynthSwap audit request made by the ZyberSwap team.

The Zyberswap team contacted us to audit their second DEX on Base, Synthswap. While we had provided a quote, we had not yet commenced the audit. However, social media posts were made by SynthSwap, indicating that the audit was already in progress, which was not accurate. The link to the original tweet can be found here:

We value open communication and believe it is our duty to clarify the situation. Our team followed up on the payment for the audit after no response, with one of the team members confirming that payment was expected in the next hours. Unfortunately, subsequent communications revealed a discrepancy within the ZyberSwap team regarding the acceptance of the quote, leading to a postponement of the audit process.

It is important to note that at no point did SolidProof initiate the audit process for SynthSwap. We had provided a quote and were awaiting payment to officially begin the audit, but this step had not been taken.

As SolidProof was contacted by community members and to prevent any further confusion, we requested the removal of the social media posts that inaccurately indicated the audit was already in progress. As a responsible and ethical auditing firm, we believe in maintaining the highest standards of integrity throughout all interactions.

Magnate Finance Statement

We would like to address the recent incident involving Magnate Finance, a project for which we were approached by a since inactive intermediary on May 25th for an audit. It's crucial to clarify that the unfortunate incident was not an exploit but a coordinated exit scam. Our initial audit report indicated the possibility of changing the oracle address outlined in the report (page 18), which the Magnate Finance team used to essentially rug pull.
