The Great Lunar Cycle: The Horse Twins and the Grail (All Parts)
https://taliesinsmap.blogspot.com/2020/09/the-great-lunar-cycle-horse-twins-and.html?m=1
The full Lunar Cycle article complied in one post.
This article answers the questions of who Njörðr, Freyr and Bragi are in terms of Indo-European comparativism (also discussing numerous others), who their Irish and Welsh parallels are, who the Grail quester Perceval is, and what the significance of his quest is.
Furthermore, it shows that the “Aesir-Vanir War” appears in some form in nearly every branch, and lays out clearly its details in several of the branches.
In all, these are essential things to understand about the European gods for everyone who studies them. Understanding these things correctly is of the utmost consequence to our understanding of both the sacred liquid and the sacrifice itself.

Rosa Camuna response by European Tribalism channel
Hello all,
Recently, the channel European Tribalism - Mythology, European culture, survival (https://t.me/EuropeanTribalism) made a post detailing an alleged mistake in previous post of mine regarding the Rosa Camuna, a variant of the swastika. Specifically, the assertion:
“I think their assumption of that symbol being solely of Indo-European origin might be flawed.”
https://t.me/EuropeanTribalism/617
I would simply like to point out that I never made this claim, and very specifically in my original post make it clear the symbol is associated with the Camunni people, and later I state the origin of these people is unknown, and that their language is insufficiently known to be classed as “Old European or Indo-European”. Here, Old European refers to the descendants of the Neolithic farming peoples present in Europe before the arrival of Indo-European people. The insinuation here is that it was possibly used by a pre-Indo-European people of Europe, although perhaps I should have been more clear in my wording.
https://t.me/solarcult/569
https://t.me/solarcult/572
However I would like to thank the folks at European Tribalism for taking the time to read the posts and for fact-checking them. The majority of us within the pagan community here on Telegram are amateur historians, and this sort of work is very important so-as to not spread misconceptions and falsehoods about our ancestors, who we value dearly. We welcome any and all feedback in this regard.
Hail to the folks at European Tribalism and give them a sub if you haven’t already (link above), they run a great channel!

SEPTEMBER 29TH — St-MICHEL AND THE WODAN WILD HUNT 1/2
The 29th of September is the feast day of St. Michael.
Originally this Christian saint was only celebrated on March 15th and May 8th. At the Council of Mainz, Germany, in the year 813, a third feast day was added: the autumn feast of St. Michael on the 29th of September.
Why this addition? The answer is that since the beginning of the Christianisation of the Germanic peoples, St. Michael with his warrior and army leader aspect had replaced the cult of the God Wodan (Odin). Many former places of worship of the God Wodan were replaced by the cult of the Archangel Michael. This substitution of worship and clear identification with the divine functions meant that among the people, the cult of the Wodan God continued. This relative continuity of worship was not a Christian initiative. It happened because the God Wodan was so deeply rooted in the hearts and minds of the people who did not abandon certain ancient rites, that the Christian church found the Wodan/St. Michael identification as a solution.
As in many other cases, the Christian church, in its perfidy, hypocrisy and fanaticism to abolish all direct traces of the old polytheistic cults, found nothing better than to recover once again a pagan tradition by transforming and distorting it.
September 29th was chosen as the date for St. Michael's Day because this is the period when the ancient Germans celebrated the beginning of the Wild Hunt of Wodan. After celebrating and thanking the Gods for the good harvest, it was customary to mark the entry into the dark period of the solar year with rites recalling the memory of the Wild Hunt. The time of death begins. The days shorten, the sun becomes rarer and rarer. The doors of the world of the dead open ... dead and living pass from one world to another.
Autumn is the time when one can see in the tormented sky the great ride of the God Wodan, accompanied by the fallen warriors. This wild army rides like a disturbing shadow across the skies. Being an eyewitness to the wild army was not a good omen. More than one living person was taken by the dead from the Wild Hunt and thus joined the world of the dead before their time. Here we find the myth of the God Wodan in his role as a psychopomp, i.e. the one who accompanies the dead on their journey to the other worlds of the afterlife.
This autumnal tradition of the wild army and the great celestial hunt is a Germanic tradition that has survived in many parts of Europe. Nearly all European regions which were at one time or another occupied by the Germans, have preserved in their traditions the memory of the Wild Hunt of the God Wodan. Here are a few examples:
- in Alsace: Chasse Volante, Haute Chasse, Huperi, Der Nachtsgœger (the hunter of the night), der Wilde Jäger.
- Berry: Chasse à Bôdet, led by the devil who takes the damned to hell, Rigaud Hunt.
- Burgundy: The hunter of the Advents and his dog Gavelo.
- Bresse: King Herod's hunt.
- Blois: Chasse Macabre.
- Bourbonnais: Forez, Chasse Maligne, led by the devil.
- Franche-Comté: Haute-chasse, Hunting of the Lady of Moissey
- Gascony: Artus Hunting
- Limousin: Chasso galero, Chasse galérienne, Night hunting
- Lorraine: The hunter in the woods of Krombesch, Hunting of the beast of Rondet, The Mouni Hennequin, Big Hunt.
- Normandy: Saint-Hubert Hunting, Saint-Eustache Hunting, Hennequin Hunting.
- Picardy: Aerial hunting of the four Aymon sons (Thiérache).
- Poitou, Saintonge, Chasse Gallerie. It announced great events. In Poitou, the Lord Gallery was cruel and ungodly. Wanting to pursue a deer that had taken refuge in a hermit's cave, he cursed it and condemned Gallery to eternal hunting.

Procession of the dead, or of souls, led by a living person carrying a cross or a cauldron filled with holy water. He can only escape this obligation if he meets another living person who will take his place. To avoid this risk, one must either lock oneself in a circle drawn on the ground, or lie face down on the ground, or make other conjuring gestures. It is no longer a celestial hunt but the link remains obvious.
