A wonderful conversation with Sarah Dye from Loom Woven about her beautiful weaving and textiles. A true treat to get to know her a little better and peek into her process, I’m a huge fan of what she does. Friends of the channel join us with wonderful and insightful questions and comments. As I look toward the future of my business and reflect on its last six years of growth and development, one of the things I cannot help but be thankful for is its number of successes--driven in large part by my wonderful customers. From creating my niche from scratch, to earning Torchbearer Of Culture from the AFP, and everything in between, I really am so thankful for the opportunity to have built what I have.

From finding my own style all those years ago to now seeing my niche emulated in other spaces, The Witch Mother is a true extension of myself and my energy into the physical world: 100% me. I have always believed that the best art comes from a deep sense of authenticity and of knowing one's self, and the last few years have been the best opportunity to showcase this.

To those who have supported me from the very beginning, who recognize the soul and fingerprint of my work, thank you. The wonderful community of my customers and friends means the world to me, and has helped me stay rooted in my true vision all this time. I cannot thank you all enough.

Looking forward, I am more inspired than ever to create meaningful pieces that inspire and resonate with the community.

Here's to authenticity, to building real culture, and to my fantastic supporters. Thanks y’all!

Looking over the final art for the children’s rune picture book I’ve been working on for some time -

Here’s a look at some of the beautiful images drawn by the same artist who did the work on my first kid’s book β€œYou Are Your People.”

Looking forward to putting out another book for young readers to connect with their culture and heritage in a positive and uplifting way.

I started a new piece today based on a medieval castle in Spain called Alcazar of Segovia. I've quickly learned that olive wood, while gorgeous, is absolutely terrible for pyrography! Can you guess why?

It's because it's super oily! It secretes as you burn which makes the burn line bleed. Very hard to get clean thin lines because of this so hopefully this won't end in disaster! πŸ˜…
