⚡️ #JUST_IN EU Orders Google to Change Android

The European Commission is forcing Google to open 11 system-level functions of Android to rival AI assistants. This move aims to stop the tech giant from keeping the best features exclusively for its own Gemini assistant.

Under the Digital Markets Act, Google must now treat competitors as equals to its own software. These rules allow other chatbots to tap into the phone hardware and system features that were previously restricted. Google has expressed concerns about potential security risks, specifically regarding the requirement to share sensitive search data with these third-party services. The tech company has until July 2027 to implement these mandated changes across its mobile operating system.

Third-party apps will gain access to 11 features that were once controlled by 1 company.

OpenAI and Work Louder have launched the Codex Micro keyboard for $230. 🚀

This device is made to control autonomous AI agents—programs that perform tasks like writing code on their own. The keyboard includes a control dial and status lights that glow to show what the AI is doing right now. The first batch of these units sold out in under 24 hours.

Looking further ahead, OpenAI is working on a new screenless AI speaker. This device will be able to move and is expected to arrive in 2027.

For a regular user, this is a shift toward physical controls for software. Instead of clicking on a screen, you manage complex automated work with a dedicated knob and lights, making the invisible progress of AI agents feel tangible.

Valve’s $1,049 Steam Machine Faces a Memory Crisis

The newly launched Steam Machine from Valve starts at a hefty $1,049, and the price is not dropping anytime soon. 💾

A worsening global memory crisis is driving up the cost of RAM and storage chips—the essential parts that keep your games running fast.

Despite this high entry barrier, the console-like PC is doing surprisingly well, selling between 12,000 and 15,000 units every week.

Another interesting detail is the game selection. You do not need to wait for special releases. There are zero exclusive games planned. Instead, Valve is treating the entire PC catalog as the launch lineup, giving you instant access to thousands of games. 🕹️

To put this in perspective, a standard gaming console costs about half as much, but it locks you into a single, closed library.

Paying over a grand for a gaming rig is a tough pill to swallow, but having your entire library ready on your TV is incredibly convenient.

Valve proved that gamers value freedom over cheap hardware.

Apple and Google purge AI 'nudify' apps

Apple and Google have started removing AI-powered 'nudify' applications from their platforms following pressure from the European Commission. These tech giants are finally taking action to curb the spread of deepfake pornography.

These apps use artificial intelligence to digitally remove clothing from photos of real people without their permission. They previously slipped past standard moderation by hiding their true function from store reviewers.

The European Commission intervened after legal groups argued that the digital storefronts were actively facilitating non-consensual content. This move forces a shift in how app stores police software that crosses ethical lines.

It took a legal firestorm to stop these tools from being sold like standard utility software.

How did these apps manage to pass initial security checks for so long?

Apple releases iOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate betas

Apple just launched the first public betas for iOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate, which bring over 30 performance improvements to your devices. 🚀

These updates are designed to make your daily experience smoother and more responsive. You can now test these features yourself before the final versions arrive for everyone later this year.

One of the biggest additions is a new recovery screen for iPhone that you can trigger manually if things go wrong.

Think of this as a "safe mode" for your phone. If your device ever gets stuck or refuses to boot up, you can now force it into a special menu to fix software glitches yourself instead of rushing to a repair shop. It is a practical feature that gives you more control over your own hardware.

Your phone just got a built-in safety net.

Xbox strategy update

Xbox executives recently clarified that the upcoming Gears of War: E-Day is just one part of their wider plan. This strategy impacts long-awaited titles like Fallout 5, which currently lack clear platform details. They aren't focused solely on single-player titles.

They want a mix of game types for their fans. Still, players are frustrated by the lack of clarity regarding other major series.

The ongoing silence on high-profile projects leaves a major gap in understanding which consoles will actually get to play the biggest hits.

It is a wait-and-see game for now.

A clear roadmap is just as valuable as a good game.

Critical flaw discovered in NGINX software

A serious security vulnerability, specifically CVE-2026-42533, has been found in NGINX. This flaw allows unauthorized attackers to remotely crash the web server's worker processes or potentially execute their own code by sending a crafted HTTP request.

This critical NGINX vulnerability works by exploiting how the server interprets incoming traffic. It effectively lets an outsider bypass authentication, which is essentially like someone having a key to your digital front door. F5 has already released security patches to address this. If you manage a server, applying this update is essential to protect your infrastructure from being taken over.

This incident is far more dangerous than a standard bug fix or a routine update that improves minor system efficiency. A patch here is a critical line of defense for the entire network.

Security infrastructure management demands persistent focus, even when you would prefer to be doing anything else.
Do not delay your update.

Vivo launches X300 E with a 7,200mAh battery
Vivo has just pulled back the curtain on the X300 E, a new smartphone that ships with a massive 7,200mAh battery.

This capacity is a significant step up from the industry standard, which usually hovers around 5,000mAh for modern flagships. A battery this large is designed to keep the phone running for days rather than hours, helping you avoid hunting for a wall outlet constantly. To round out the hardware, the device features a triple rear camera setup equipped with Zeiss optics. Zeiss is a renowned German manufacturer known for high-quality camera lenses, often used in professional photography gear.

The device will officially go on sale in China on July 27, and pre-orders are already active. Compared to the competition, which frequently relies on smaller power cells, this hardware choice is clearly prioritizing long-lasting use. 🚀🔥

Is this finally the end of battery anxiety for heavy users?
