Well, here’s the story! Noor means “light” in Arabic, and that’s exactly what I want this app to be for you—a light on your spiritual journey. It’s loaded with amazing features: Quran with translations (Amharic, English, Afan Oromo), Hadith, Dua, Qibla Compass, Tasbih, and much more. Everything to make your faith brighter and easier to follow.

Here’s the cool part: my name is Anwar, which also comes from the same root as Noor and means “full of light”. So in a way, this app isn’t just Noor in name—it’s like a piece of me, sharing light with all of you.

I hope NOOR becomes your companion in faith, learning, and reflection, just like it’s meant to be. 🌙✨

People often ask me how I come up with ideas for the projects I build. The truth is, I don’t really care if something already exists or not. Most people think of an idea, search online, and when they see it’s already built, they immediately lose interest.

But for me, it’s different. The one you build yourself can be free. Most apps out there are either paid or full of ads. And when you build it with your own hands, you have complete control—every feature, every update, every change is yours to decide. That’s real power.

When I first started, I built apps to solve other people’s problems. Later on, I realized that solving my own problems often ended up solving other people’s problems too.

I’ve built many apps over time, but out of them, I use more than six every single day. They’re part of my life now, and the best part is, whenever I want to add or remove something, the choice is mine.

And here’s the other thing about building apps—everyone has ideas. The real power isn’t just having an idea, it’s being able to build it fast and finish it. That’s what makes the difference.

Im trully jealous of this. Like imagine the future of this kids bruh. Its insane , mean while we are required to learn the history of horn of africa on a CS degree 😭
