Finally brought this project to the web. The original mobile app, Anime Discovery, used the Gemini AI to suggest shows based on any vibe or interest you described. While using AI for a full database isn't the correct way to build, it was great for personalized lists, so Iβm planning to add that intelligent feature to this web version soon.
For now, this version uses the Jikan API to handle data and suggestions properly. Vibe coded this in about 2-3 hours today.
Itβs strictly for discovery, so once you find a show, you can grab the files from places like MovieBox or T4TSA.

One thing I understood from this is that.....AI makes building software easier, not less valuable....Anyone can generate an app now, just like anyone can bake bread at home, but people still pay professionals for quality, reliability, and the details that matter......The same applies to software......Real products still need architecture, security, scalability, maintenance, and engineers who understand the nuances behind the scenes.....
