Affirmative Sentences:
Subject + am/is/are + Base form of the verb + -ing
Example:
I am studying English.
They are playing soccer.
Negative Sentences:
Subject + am/is/are + not + Base form of the verb + -ing
Example:
I am not (ain’t) watching TV.
She is not (isn’t) cooking dinner.
Questions:
Am/Is/Are + Subject + Base form of the verb + -ing?
Example:
Are you coming to the party?
Is he reading a book?
Use "am" with I, "is" with he, she, it, and "are" with you, we, they.
The base form of the verb changes to the -ing form (e.g., play → playing).
Sample Sentences:
Affirmative:
I am writing a letter.
They are studying for the exam.
Negative:
He is not (isn’t) playing video games.
