A prefix is a word part added to the beginning of a word to create a new meaning. Sometimes a hyphen is used with a prefix and sometimes not.

un = yo'q - unacceptable
inter = orasida - international
pre = oldindan - prepay
non = yoq - nonsense

Past Simple Tense
Explanation: The past simple tense is used to talk about actions that happened in the past and are finished.

How to Form:
Regular verbs: Add -ed to the base form (e.g., "play" becomes "played," "talk" becomes "talked").
Irregular verbs: Change the verb to its past form (e.g., "go" becomes "went," "see" becomes "saw").

Examples:
I visited my grandparents last weekend.
(Men o‘tgan haftada buvim va bobomni ziyorat qildim.)

She played tennis yesterday.
(U kecha tennis o‘ynadi.)

They went to the park last summer.
(Ular o‘tgan yozda parkka bordilar.)

He saw a movie last night.
(U kecha film ko‘rdi.)

Remember:
For regular verbs, just add -ed.
For irregular verbs, memorize the past forms.
