I've found that, while going out to the kitchen for snacks and refreshments late at night, it helps to not bring a torch. I mean, torch:

Walking out in the dark:
- definitely not a trope
- no visibility
- absolute gigachad energy

I mean, who's gonna fuck with some guy struttin his stuff in the dark? No-one, that's who.
