Bill C-12 became law on March 26th, and for foreign entrepreneurs, particularly those waiting on Start-Up Visa applications. It introduces real uncertainty. The law gives the Canadian government significant new authority over existing immigration applications, and many people don't yet know whether they are at risk or what they can do about it.
