LinkedIn can be one of the most important assets a CA student can create.
That too - Absolutely for FREE.
Here are 5 steps to build it 👇
1. Profile Optimization:
Your LinkedIn Profile is your digital introduction.
Treat it like your visiting card. Complete every section meticulously:
- Banner
- Headline
- About Section
- Experience (if you have any)
2. Connect with fellow professionals
LinkedIn is a community of professionals eager to connect and collaborate.
👉 Connect with them.
👉 Learn from them.
👉 Ask any specific question you have in mind.
Don't just focus on increasing the number of connections/followers.
Try to build a meaningful relationship with your network.
3. Provide value.
Networking isn't a one-way street. It is equally about offering something in return.
~ Have any job references?
Give it to someone who is in need.
~ If someone reaches out to you for help.
Help them to the best of your professional capability.
4. Create Content
Students say they don't have anything to share.
But you know what, everyone has something to say.
You just need to think about it.
Even if you don't have anything philosophical to share.
Talk about things you're most passionate about.
It could be from the world of finance, anything exciting in the business world, or events happening at a geopolitical level.
5. Engage Meaningfully
Building lasting connections requires genuine engagement.
Identify key figures in your industry, follow their posts, and engage with those who resonate with your values.
👉 Share your opinions
👉 Appreciate efforts, and
👉 Contribute constructively to discussions.
It will position you as a person always eager to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully.
A good trait of a passionate professional.
Remember: You sow the seed today to get the fruits at a time when you need them the most.
LinkedIn can be the best thing that can happen in your life
(Obviously, CA degree is always the priority 😛)
Start working on it today so that when you pass out, you already have it ready.
PS: Have any questions with LI?
Drop it in the comment section and I will try to answer.

I got a call from a 47-year-old prominent coaching center to provide a Demo lecture.
That’s how my journey in the CA fraternity started.
After visiting I realized there was no one to listen to but a lone cameraman for shooting that demo.
At that time it seemed strange.
Though, I had the experience of teaching students but teaching in front of the camera was a completely different thing.
However, that was the opportunity, I couldn’t afford to miss.
I asked one of my known - to just sit there so that I could be confident enough to at least deliver that lecture.
When it was over, to my surprise, that cameraman came to me and said “Ma’am you know what, your teaching style is very much like CA. Surbhi Bansal Maam”
The same level of energy, the same level of enthusiasm, the same charisma, and almost the same body language.
He said “Surbhi ma’am also started her journey here and now you’re also starting from here”
Being a new teacher in the industry, it was indeed a big compliment that too on the very first day.
I instantly felt that connection with her.
She is indeed a rockstar.
But I also want to thank that cameraman. He accidentally became my first cheerleader.
Now when I look back I realize how much importance your words hold.
Therefore, Use your words wisely.
Aapke shabd kisi ki life par bohot gehra asar daal skte hai. Ab ye aap par depend krta hai ki aap uske liye achha chahte ho ya bura.
