🚀 SL 6.5 Build 008 - Patch 4

This update fixes several issues:

- Fixed the news page not being scrollable.
- Fixed the inability to navigate back from the drawer page using a horizontal swipe.
- Fixed the back gesture not working in certain situations.
- Fixed a glitch when overscrolling events in the widget calendar.

This update won't be released on the Play Store. We know there are still some issues to address, but we need to verify that these fixes work as expected before proceeding further.

Gesture support has always been a tricky area, especially when it comes to single-finger gestures. Making them work smoothly alongside panel navigation and all the other possible interactions is quite challenging—but we’re doing our best to get it right.

So here is a new build to test.

🚀 SL 6.5 Build 008 - Patch 5

- Double tap now works even when swipe gestures are disabled.
- Two-finger gestures now always work on every home page.
- One-finger gestures now work on extra home pages, as long as they don't conflict with regular navigation. When a conflict occurs, the gesture is ignored.

ℹ We’ll resume Play Store distribution as soon as we have a build that’s ready for it.

The next update won’t bring big changes - in fact, ideally, you won’t notice any difference at all. This is just a stability check to make sure we didn’t break anything. But rest assured, we’re cooking!

- Gestures can now be triggered with shorter movements.
- Improved the Page Manager to better represent how the SL layout works.
- Fixed a bug that prevented the current panel from being restored after rotating the device.
- Adding icons or widgets from other apps no longer causes crashes.
- Reduced backup file size for setups containing many KWGT widgets.
- Improved efficiency of the weather clock widget.
- Improved RSS feed parser, now supporting more feeds.

We received reports about build 13 being affected by an issue related to touch. We fixed the issue and reuploaded the APK, so if you installed the previous version, please reinstall it using this new one. Thank you for your patience!

- Fixed a bug that prevented normal page navigation when horizontal gestures are enabled

Our current goal is to achieve a level of stability that allows us to safely roll it out to production. This build addresses issues reported in the previous version and includes some additional refinements.

We expect to release at least one more stability-focused update before we focus on new features again.

Hi everyone!

Just a quick update about the current status of our work.

As you've probably noticed, we haven't released new features or pushed recent changes to production yet. That's because we're dedicating a LOT of time to preserving existing behaviors. Something that might seem like a bug or a quirk to us can actually be an important feature for others. Understandably, users don't want updates breaking the functionalities they rely on.

However, this doesn't mean we are not working on something new in the meantime. We're developing a new feature to support multiple "profiles" within the launcher. Initially, this will allow users with foldable devices to switch easily between two different layouts. But that's just the beginning, this functionality will soon open doors to some exciting possibilities for everyone!

We're still in an exploratory phase, so I can't share too many details yet, but I'll be back with more info as soon as we have something concrete.
