Context: Based on the chart structure in , XAUUSD remains in a definitive downtrend, strictly guided by a descending trendline. The current price is hovering around 4023.020, resting on a minor support zone and preparing for a potential technical pullback before the next major downward leg.
1. KEY LEVELS
Resistance 1 (4050): Primary sell zone. Golden confluence (Descending trendline + "Break + Retest" horizontal level). This is the key decision point.
Resistance 2 (4080): Major upper resistance box.
Support 1 (4010 - 4020): Immediate minor support (small grey box). Currently holding the price but vulnerable to breaking under pressure.
Support 2 (4000): Major structural support (large bottom grey box) and the ultimate target for sellers.
2. ACTION PLAN
🔻 Setup 1: SHORT at 4050 (Primary / Trend-following)
Scenario: Wait patiently for a technical pullback to the 4050 confluence resistance (following the red zigzag trajectory).
Entry: Enter SHORT upon seeing a clear bearish rejection (Pinbar or Engulfing) at the trendline/horizontal intersection.
Take Profit (TP): 4015 (TP1) ➡️ 4000 (TP2).
Stop Loss (SL): H1 candle closes above 4060 (breaking the descending trendline).
🔺 Setup 2: LONG at 4000 (Counter-trend / Bounce)
Scenario: Price successfully completes the downward wave and drops into the 4000 major support zone.
Entry: Enter LONG only with strong bullish confirmation (e.g., a long-wick Bullish Pinbar rejecting the 4000 level).
Take Profit (TP): 4050 (Targeting a major bounce back to the trendline).
Stop Loss (SL): 3990 (Just below the deep structural support band).
⚠️ CONTINGENCY PLAN (BREAKOUT & BREAKDOWN)
Bullish Breakout: If the price violently pushes through 4050 and closes completely above the descending trendline (above 4060), the bearish setup is invalidated. Switch bias and look for Longs on a retest of 4050 (flipped to support), targeting the 4080 resistance box.
Immediate Breakdown: If the price crashes directly through the 4010 support without pulling back to 4050 first, do not chase. Wait for a retest of 4010-4020 (now acting as resistance) to enter SHORT towards the 4000 target.
