Hey there, @breadmaker over here.

Here you will find slices of what I do, what I think and what I enjoy.

My hope is that you find something that inspires you or brings you joy, filling a part of you that you never knew needed it.

Cheers!

[LIVE] I'm currently at the early stages of testing. The stream is being fed directly from the liquidsoap service. Please inform of any issues you might find.
[LIVE] We are now at the 𝛼-stage. Liquidsoap has proven to be more than capable to adapt around the very tight constraints it's currently running. As always, please inform of any issues you might find.

[LIVE] After a lot of tinkering, I've managed to improve audio quality (from 128 to 192kbps), now closer to the Icecast (96kbps) vorbis stream. I'm researching on how to make a core exclusive to encoding. Coming up next is the bot.

I'm (temporarily) shutting down the video stream. It was a good experiment, but with the current resources available, it's not sustainable when it eventually scales.
The Raspberry Pi 4B ran proudly but strained during this period. And the hot summer days didn't help to keep below the temperature throttling.
Several optimizations later (from compiling liquidsoap from source, using opam, to attempt to use hardware acceleration for encoding) finally left me unsatisfied with the results.
So, the vorbis stream, through https://ctmradio.hopto.org/app, is currently the only way to listen:
- It's incredibly lightweight, making it suitable for mobile connections.
- It's super versatile, being able to be played in almost any known media player.
- It's got the unbound potential to be expanded as a WebApp.
I will continue CTM Radio's development. Feel free to ask me any questions about it.
Thank you for listening!
