Didn't really want to go the route of using emission nodes over a principled or diffuse BSDF, but it'll have to do for eevee to get the look I want.
At least in Blender 4.2+ bloom is now a compositor effect.

Crunchy 480P and 224P renders. Probably gonna stick with 480P, just enough crunch without losing smaller details at this distance.
