Welcome to Telegram. You will see many kinds of people with channels full of content you would never see on TikTok, and it never means you have to agree with them. I have met many people over the years struggling with figuring out their roots, navigating the propaganda machine, and needing a place to vent. Delving into ideology that you don't understand lifts the veil of ignorance, increases empathy and allows you to stop living in fear. Free speech and critical thinking is important to me.

The issue is that there isn't any actually free speech, just as there is no free market, as long as there is a power unbalance between the players. And whoever says otherwise, for both cases, is either already in a position of power or an useful idiot in the hands of who is.

I've spent quite a few years here on telegram observing the dynamics of channels, big and small, from every political background. And what almost every channel admin does, from any side of the spectrum and with very few exceptions, is to play with the unbalance of power inside this particular propaganda machine. Carefully selecting what to forward and what not in order to avoid funneling too many followers into enemy territory and in the meantime weave informal alliances with bigger and smaller channels who share similar positions.

TL;DR: there is no "free market of ideas" the Internet is a battlefield.
