🤖 The ReSet team from Skoltech’s Intelligent Space Robotics Laboratory (Engineering Center) has clinched the title of Russian Champion for the ninth consecutive year at the Eurobot Russia Open autonomous robotics tournament!
This year’s international competition theme was "Robot Tours". The team's robots had to be multitasking and could both perform on stage and prepare the concert hall for the performance. There were a total of four robots on stage: a Robot Musician, two robot fans, and a robot concert organizer who built the tribunes.
Led by Skoltech Associate Professor Dzmitry Tsetserukou, our team scored the highest points in paired 100-second matches. Only ReSet’s robots managed to construct a three-tier grandstand.
Congratulations to our champions: Grigoriy Morozov (captain), Artem Voronov, Roman Voronov, Xuan Nguyen, Monijesu James (software), Roman Korobeynikov, Sergei Pasynkov, Agbasiere Chidera Simon (electronics), and Khang Nguyen (mechanics)! 👏

🇷🇺🇨🇳 Skoltech President Alexander Kuleshov and Director of the Artificial Intelligence Center Evgeny Burnaev published a joint authored article in China Daily, the largest English-language publication in China
In their article, they argue that the metaphor of a «race» often used in discussions about artificial intelligence development around the world, is fundamentally flawed — because races have a finish line. Instead, they believe the future belongs to scientific collaboration, particularly in partnership between Russia and China.
Today, the two countries have a unique combination of resources: the world’s largest community of AI specialists, a large-scale infrastructure for cloud computing, and an outstanding mathematical school, which is the basis for the creation of advanced algorithms.
Using Skoltech projects as examples, the authors illustrate how Russian-Chinese cooperation is already developing — from joint research to scientific schools. They also propose concrete measures to scale this collaboration at the public policy level and turn Eurasia into one of the world’s leading hubs for AI development.
