Hi friends, have uploaded my 9-pager summary of Vol I of Economic Survey 2021 on the blog. Although I recommend studying original docs, I'll make an exception here. It should suffice to just study the gist of the Survey from any good source.
My Economic Survey Vol I notes can be found under 'ESI: Budget and ES summaries' post under 'Phase II' menu item of the blog. Direct link -

Pranav Pathak from 2019 batch has shared his own Finance and Management notes with me and the same have been uploaded at the end of his strategy post on the blog here -> RBI Grade B -> RBI Gr B 2019 toppers -> Pranav Pathak

A huge coincidence is that Pranav too relied on self-study for RBI Gr B exam, had the same rank as mine in the 2019 exam, even he got posted in Mumbai, in the same dept and in the very same team as mine!!

Hi everyone, in connection with the discussion going on in the group associated with this channel (@gradeb2018toppers), I've written a blog post on important banking related ratios and parameters.
The post can be accessed over here: Skidha's blog -> RBI Grade B -> Phase II -> Important ratios and parameters
I think knowing all these parameters, ratios is EXTREMELY important. You may be asked to define or state the relevance of any parameter in a descriptive question. I was asked about Profitability related ratios in the Interview, and was not able to recall even a single one back then. It was quite embarrassing. I feel everyone should take this opportunity of group discussion to try and understand all these basic ratios and terms. Have further mentioned in the blog post how these ratios can be better understood.
Also, in case you come across any additional banking specific ratio/term, please do post in the comment section of the blog post so that the list can be further enriched.

For those of you preparing for RBI Grade B (DEPR) exam, Sapna Goel, a 2019 batch DEPR officer has kindly allowed me to share her preparation strategy on the blog. She did not refer to any coaching notes and in her own words - she strongly feels RBI DEPR can be prepared without coaching. The post can be accessed through RBI Grade B (DEPR) menu item.
Since I write mostly on RBI Generalist exam, I do not know of many DEPR specific groups/channels. So, if you know any, I would request you to share this post with DEPR candidates/groups/channels.

Hi everyone, many people have been asking me about courses or certifications they can pursue at this point of time when exams are on hold.
My recommendation would be to try and go for Diploma in Banking and Finance (the equivalent of JAIIB for non-bankers) conducted by IIBF. This would have 3 benefits -
1. Add value to your profile
2. Enhance your knowledge
3. Automatically make you eligible for an extra increment when you join RBI (or even some of the PSBs I think).

Grade B 2021 result are out. Cutoffs and marks should be out soon. Those of you who couldn't make it to the list, assess your weak areas based on this year's marks and make improving upon those your first priority, rather than studying things you already know again and again.
Those who made it to the interview but couldn't make it to the final list, do not be disheartened. You are as good as those who made it to the list, if not better. Margins between marks of successive candidates who appear for interviews are really small, and sadly, a lot depends upon luck at this stage. There is no difference in the hard work and conceptual clarity of those who make it to the final list and those who don't. All the best for your future endeavours!!
