Google is updating the Android logo.
Google has confirmed to 9to5Google that a new Android logo and signature is coming soon, going back to the origins of the operating system. The new logo will have a 3D style, and the signature will have a capital letter and use the rounded font from Android 5.0.
Google is promising a "new brand identity" and promises more information in the coming months. However, it remains unclear how much this change will affect the operating system itself.
