"Jürgen Blümer meets activist from Ukraine Drensteinfurt. At this year's "System Change Camp" in Hanover, Jürgen Blümer from the Seebrück Drensteinfurt met the climate activist Anastasiia Onufriv from Fridays For Future Ukraine. Artem Chekh describes how he survived the hellish days in Bakhmut in May this year - and connects his story to the fate of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians who would like to live in a peaceful country but are forced to fight to defend their homeland. It gave me the shivers.
“Did I want to fight? Do hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians want to fight? We have children, families, jobs, hobbies, parcels in the mail. And some of us have an unfinished novel about the adventures of a Ukrainian in America who didn’t want to fight but couldn’t do otherwise. We also cannot do otherwise, because our enemies are trying once more to take away our right to live on our land. Because they are trying to take away our right to freedom.
How could I not pick up a weapon here? For those who lived for many decades in the cozy arms of democracy and freedom, who don’t know the fear of captivity and torture, it is difficult to understand why such peaceful people — who from time immemorial grew wheat, mined iron and coal, and grazed cattle on boundless meadows — defend every meter of their country with such fury. 🇬🇧 Takflix joined a fundraising campaign for a pickup truck for aerial reconnaissance squad. To support the fundraiser, 4 Mariupol films were made available for free!
Recently, Solidarity Collectives started raising funds for an off-road vehicle for an aerial reconnaissance squad from the International Legion who are fighting near Bakhmut. And the online movie theater Takflix has volunteered to help them with the fundraiser.
To boost donations, the "Mariupol, I Love You" selection on Takflix has been made available for free. Instead every viewer can donate any sum to help buy the pickup truck faster.
The selection includes 4 films that recreate memories from the city before the full-scale invasion of Russian troops. The films feature a lot of the Sea of Azov footage. We believe that every hryvnia brings us closer to the victory, the coveted beach and salty water.
In addition to the Mariupol selection, you can watch more than 40 other films for free and support the fundraiser as well. So watch movies on Takflix under the "Free" filter and support Solidarity Collectives.

Recently, there was a landing in Lviv also. 100 buildings were damaged, incl. UNESCO. Fortunately, no one was killed. But it still hurts, it's still scary and sad.
I wasn't sure if I should write about it, because it seems that the channel has become somehow difficult and people are unsubscribing because of this.
And just a minute ago, my meditation app told me that joy, patience and gratitude can be "turned up". Which I did and indeed felt a better mood. But then the president reminded me of the reality we live in.
It is very difficult. Yes, I have a lot of difficult emotions that I don't always know what to do with, and they destroy my relationships.
I guess i should ask Sam (the founder of the app) to create a series for us. Something that would help us live through such moments. Because I haven't seen or heard him mentioning Ukraine in 1.5 years. And I haven't seen or heard about meditations in war. Although there are many useful things that help a lot me in general.

Недавно і у Львів прилетіло. Пошкодили 100 будівель, у т.ч. ЮНЕСКО. Загиблих не було, на щастя. Але все ж боляче, страшно.
Я не була впевнена чи варто про це писати, бо здається, що канал став якимось важким і люди через це відписуються.
А ще хвилину тому додаток медитації розказав, що радість, терпіння і вдячність можна "підкрутити". Що я і зробила і реально відчула кращий настрій. І тут президент нагадав у якій реальності ми живемо.
Важко дуже. Так, у мене багато важких емоцій, з якими я сама не завжди знаю що робити і вони руйнують мої стосунки.
Варто мабуть попросити Сема (засновника додатку), щоби створив серії для нас. Щось, що допомагало би проживати такі моменти. Бо про Україну ні згадки за 1,5 року. І загалом, на разі не бачила, не чула про медитації у війні. Хоча, там все ж багато корисних штук, які мені дуже допомагають.

У Ляйпціґу нас було троє з Fridays For Future України. Усі з різних міст України і різних міст тут в Німеччині, але на щастя, тут все ж близько досить.
Зустріли двох активістів FFF Ляйпціґ. Один з них воював у ЗСУ і оргнізовував Глобальний страйк за клімат, то ми знайомі давніше. Потім до нас сам підійшов інший хлопчина, бо побачив зелений прапор. Обом розповіли про ідею на страйк за клімат. Обоє всіма руками за.
Познайомилися з місцевою організаторкою акції за незалежність. Розповіла їй про цю ідею. Вона теж у захваті.
Було класно зустріти цих всіх людей. Покричати путін хуйло, і смерть ворогам, поспівати Червону Калину, подивитися на виступ страшенно милотних малявочок.
Було класно зустріти друзів і поговорити про стосунки і взагалі про життя.
Найкраще залишилося за кадром. Я не хотіла знімати як ми співали гімн, бо хотілося просто закрити очі і бути в моменті, відчути ці мурахи по шкірі. Відчути цю єдність.

💛 Everyone celebrates, activists work
That is, we combine business with pleasure.
There in Leipzig were three of us from Fridays For Future Ukraine. All of us are from different cities in Ukraine and different cities here in Germany, but fortunately, here we live close enough.
We met two activists from FFF Leipzig. One of them fought in the Ukrainian Armed Forces and organised a Global Climate Strike, so we've known each other for some time. Then the other guy came up to us because he saw the green flag. We told them both about the idea for the climate strike. Both of them liked it.
We met a local organiser of the pro-independence demo. I told her about the idea. She is also excited about it.
It was great to meet all these people. To shout "putin huilo" (dick), and "death to the enemies", to sing "Chervona Kalyna" (our almost folk resistance song), to watch the performance of terribly cute little kiddies.
It was great to meet friends and talk about relationships and life in general.
The best part of the demo is left behind the scenes. I didn't want to film us singing the anthem, because I just wanted to close my eyes and be in the moment, to feel those goosebumps. To feel this unity. I hope to get the same for the Global Climate Strike 15.09.

It was great to meet all these people. To shout "putin huilo" (dick), and "death to the enemies", to sing "Chervona Kalyna" (our almost folk resistance song), to watch the performance of terribly cute little kiddies.
It was great to meet friends and talk about relationships and life in general.
The best part of the demo is left behind the scenes. I didn't want to film us singing the anthem, because I just wanted to close my eyes and be in the moment, to feel those goosebumps. To feel this unity. I hope to get the same for the Global Climate Strike 15.09.

Мене це майже до сліз розчулює! Хоча він, як і більшість західняків каже "Ukraine's war", українська війна. Але я його виправила. Це ж звучить, так, ніби ми це почали, воно нам треба. "Повномасштабне вторгнення росії в Україну", "повномасштабна війна росії пррти України", "російська війна в Україні". Зазвичай люди це приймають і дякують, що сказала як правильно. Тому і ви не соромтеся виправляти їх.

A French man who was at one of my presentations at a camp this summer wrote me this really touching message. I'm soooo happy to read this, to know that my efforts were not in vain, that my messages were really delivered and they're being forwarded.
Hello Anastasia ! I hope you're ok, last week I did a conference about Germany and war, and I thought about you and the stupidity and shameless behaviour of some intellectual people. Your testimony about what you live since Ukraine's war inspired me to deeply criticize these people who have an intellectual advice on something they should shut up. This made some people reacting with shame and a little bit of humility. I really wish you the best in Germany, and in Ukraine when all this horror will have an end. Cause it always has an end. Best wishes from France

Although he, like most westerners says "Ukraine's war". But i corrected him. It really sounds as if we started it and we want it. It's "russia's war in Ukraine", "full scale invasion of Ukraine", "full scale war against Ukraine". Usually people accept it and thank that i corrected them. So, don't be shy to correct them either.
