♦️(2/2) AFU not willing to surrender #Bakhmut:
Russian troops are advancing in #Artemovsk. At the same time, news of the "collapse of the Ukrainian defence" has repeatedly emerged. Is the Ukrainian command ready to abandon the town or does it plan to hold it despite losses?
➖ There is no collapse of enemy defences. The enemy has been forced to retreat south of #Artemovsk, but maintains the integrity of the front north of #Kurdyumovka, relying on the entrenchment in #Kleshcheyevka and the Seversky Donets - Donbass canal. At the same time a second line of defence is being built at Chasov Yar.
➖ The pace of our offensive here is slow, which, however, is offset by the heavy losses that the Wagner PMCs and the RF Armed Forces inflict on the #Artemovsk group (according to Ukrainian and Western statements, from 500 to 800 killed and wounded per day). In #Artemovsk itself, fighting continues for #Opytnoye and in the industrial zone on the eastern outskirts.
➖ Without capturing #Opytnoye there can be no hope of a direct assault on #Artemovsk. The AFU will not surrender the city for nothing, which is why reinforcements, including those withdrawn from other directions, are being rushed here. The loss of #Artemovsk will have severe consequences for the AFU, identical to those after the loss of #Popasna.
To secure #Donetsk, we need to move west:
If #Artemovsk is liberated by the Russian army, will this reduce the threat to #Donetsk in terms of artillery shelling of the DPR capital?
➖ Partly, as the capture of #Artemovsk will force the AFU to rebuild its defences in #Donbass, but it is important to understand that until #Maryinka and #Avdeyevka are captured, shelling from barrel artillery will continue in its current mode. Stopping the shelling of #Donetsk requires serious movement west of #Donetsk towards #Krasnoarmeysk, where #Krasnogorovka, #Selidovo, #Kurakhovo and so on must also be taken.
➖ So this is not an easy task. Even so, #Donetsk would remain within range of long-range MLRS and long-range artillery, but of course it would be much more difficult for the AFU to organize massive shelling.

⚔️ Situation on the Fronts for the past Day
🔹#Svatovo - #Kremennaya Direction:
▪️ An enemy stronghold near #Kremennaya was destroyed, but the blow came from the Ukrainian side. This happened after those in the stronghold decided to surrender and hung out a white flag (figure 3).
▪️ Russian aviation and artillery strikes were launched against militant units in the areas of #Tabayevka, #Berestovoye in #Kharkov region and #Novosyolovskoye in the LPR.
▪️ There were also strikes on three AFU brigades in the areas of #Nevskoye LPR, #Yampolovka DPR and #Serebryanskoye Forestry.
🔹#Donetsk Direction:
▪️ The Ministry of Defence said an MSTA-B howitzer and an American AN/TPQ-37 radar were destroyed during our offensive. Also a fuel storage facility for AFU needs and a Norwegian NASAMS SAM system (figure 1) were destroyed near #Krasnoarmeysk.
🔹#Artyomovsk (#Bakhmut) Sector:
▪️ The Kiev regime is trying to change the situation in #Artyomovsk and the relocation of AFU heavy equipment from the direction of Chasov Yar (figure 2) is proof of that. There are also reports about the militants' lack of communication in the city, which disrupts coordination and leads to increased losses.
🔹#Zaporozhye Direction:
▪️ The Russian army has defeated two Territorial Defence Brigades in the vicinity of #Levadnoye, #Marfopol and #Lugovskoye in #Zaporozhye region. The enemy lost over 20 militants, one US M777 howitzer, two D-20 howitzers and 1 D-30 howitzer.
💥 The Russian Aerospace Forces shot down one Ukrainian MiG-29 near #Chervonoarmeyskoye, #Kherson region.

🔹 Fierce fighting continues near #Ugledar in a dacha quarter southeast of the town. Marines of the 155th Brigade of the Pacific Fleet have slightly improved the situation, knocking out units of the 72nd Mechanized Brigade from several houses.
▪️ However, the situation remains unstable. The AFU has almost completely mined the approaches to #Ugledar and the settlement itself, protecting itself from an attack on the outskirts. To compensate for the losses, reinforcements have been deployed to the area of operations.
▪️ Furthermore, two tanks from the 1st Battalion of the 1st Tank Brigade arrived in #Ugledar. With the support of engineering forces of the 72nd Mechanized Brigade they are setting up fire positions for heavy armored vehicles.
❗️ Over the past few days at least three columns with personnel, armament and equipment have arrived from the #Liman sector to the area of #Mirnograd (#Dimitrova) and #Pokrovsk (#Krasnoarmeysk), probably from the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade.
Earlier we 👉 noted that part of the units departed in the direction of #Bakhmut to hold the Chasov Yar - #Krasnoye line, while the other part of one BTGr was 👉 transferred to #Bogatyr to reinforce the grouping near #Ugledar.
📌 Now the combat alignment and organization of communication between the assault groups of the 72nd Mechanized Brigade, 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade and 18th Battalion of the 35th Marines Brigade is underway. In the upcoming days, an AFU counterattack is planned in the dacha area with subsequent advance to the #Pavlovka - #Nikolskoye line.

➖ Wagner PMC fighters are advancing in the area of Ilyinovka, ours have gained a foothold on Rechnaya Street.
➖ In Zabakhmutovka, the Taurus meat processing plant was completely cleared of militants.
➖ In #Artyomovsk, the "musicians" managed to advance east of the former artillery base to get close to the "Samolet" district and School No. 2.
➖ The AFU destroy bridges within and outside the city. Many fighters are leaving the populated area, which is almost encircled. Yevgeny Prigozhin has already called on Zelensky to withdraw the troops.
🔹#Donetsk Direction:
➖ The RF Armed Forces, supported by artillery, continue their assault on #Maryinka, as well as advancing on the southern and northern outskirts of the city.
➖ Furthermore, ours are attacking in the direction of #Nevelskoye and #Pervomayskoye.
🔹#Zaporozhye Direction:
▪️ Positional fighting is still going on near #Ugledar. Our artillery is actively working. Marines continue to crush the militants near the dachas.
