โ—พA Ukrainian volunteer who has been collecting money for the Ukrainian Army since the start of the war got severely beaten up for speaking out against the corruption of the Ukrainian government:

- At 12 oโ€™clock at noon, two young men with brass knuckles and hammers brutally beat me for my principled position. Because I fight corruption, because I criticize our corrupt government that does not help our defenders. That's what's happening.

โ—พ Zelenskiy is silencing everyone opposing his plans, from the head of the Ukrainian army Zaluzhny to common activists.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿง Why are they dragging their feet on Zaluzhny's official resignation? Yury Podolyaka's version

The Western media have already written that the issue of Zaluzhny's resignation has been resolved, and that there will be no more big objections on this matter from Washington. Zaluzhny's own recent posts on social media suggest he already knows he is fired. Yet Zelensky's office is in no hurry to publish the decree.

I think the whole point here is about Avdeevka. The crisis there is literally growing by the day, and chances are that the AFU may leave most of the city very soon. And there has to be someone to blame for it. From Zelensky's point of view, Zaluzhny is just a perfect candidate for this. Clearly, the president himself is not willing to take this responsibility.

We'll probably know soon enough whether this version is true or not.

Meanwhile, here's an update on the Avdeevka situation at 22.00 Moscow time 06.02.24:

โ–ช๏ธAll day, there has been a fierce battle for the key railway interchange in the area of the coke plant in the northern Avdeevka. It's important because from this junction, the Russians will have direct visibility of the AFU's "road of life" in the city, which is only 500-600 meters away.

โ–ช๏ธThe Ukrainians desperately tried to dislodge the Russians from there, but as of 22.00, the junction is firmly in the Russian hands.

โ–ช๏ธThe Ukrainian garrison of southern and central Avdeevka is now in a state of operational encirclement, after Russia has taken an important height northeast of Opytnoye, south of the city itself.

๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ "Germany braces for decades of confrontation with Russia": Germans wonder whether NATO would continue to exist if Trump won the US elections.

"German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that Germans should be prepared for decades of confrontation with Russia, and that it is necessary to quickly rebuild the country's armed forces in case of a conflict. He said the Russian military is currently engaged in Ukraine, but if there is a ceasefire and Vladimir Putin has a few years to "reset," there is a risk that the Russian leader will test NATO's strength.
As Olaf Scholz prepares for his meeting with Joe Biden, there is speculation in the German government that there will be no return to previous engagement with Russia. Berlin fears the consequenses of a Russian victory. In parallel with these fears, politicians are also discussing the future of NATO if Donald Trump withdraws the United States from the alliance after his election as U.S. president.
Many experts doubt that NATO would continue to exist in such a scenario. "Many German officials say Putin's best strategic hope is for NATO to split."

โš”๏ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿ’ฉ Analysis of the Situation in Ukraine by US Influencers of "Institute for the Study of War" (ISW):

๐Ÿคฅ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ: The ISW Trolls have forgotten to update their Russian advance boilerplate.๐Ÿ”ธOtherwise empty promises of the Axis of Evil are promoted as copium.๐Ÿ”ธToday's political trolling is laughable when you consider that it comes from the mouthpieces of the biggest rogue regime, whose violations of international law, war crimes and lies are meanwhile uncountable.๐Ÿ”ธISW probably continues to drink the blood of deported Russian children, according to a well informed source not wishing to be named.๐Ÿ”ธISW ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿšฝ

โš ๏ธ Warning! ISW is a troll entity linked to the US Regime. The henchmen spread propaganda and disinformation instead of providing a picture of the situation on the front, which is evident from the mostly fruitless frontline information.

๐Ÿ’ฌ The Text is quoted verbatim, including the often horrifying misspelling of localities. The respective source is linked in the footer.

๐Ÿ”ป February 6 Key Takeaways ๐Ÿ‘ป

โ–ช๏ธ Americaโ€™s European and Asian allies have significantly ramped up their efforts to support Ukraine. As European partners continue to increase their support for Ukraine, US aid provision in the near to medium-term remains vital to help Ukraine build its defense industrial base (DIB).

โ–ช๏ธ The US Army plans to significantly increase US domestic production of 155mm artillery shells and shell components for Ukraine in 2024 and 2025, should the proposed Congressional supplemental appropriations bill pass.

โ–ช๏ธ Russian authorities are reportedly paying Iran roughly $4.5 billion per year to import Iranian Shahed drones to use in Ukraine.

โ–ช๏ธ Russia is reportedly unfreezing North Korean assets and helping North Korea evade international sanctions in exchange for missiles and artillery ammunition for Russia to use in Ukraine.

โ–ช๏ธ Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev emphasized on February 6 that Russia needs to protect its strategic facilities as Russian authorities continue to voice concerns about external and internal threats to Russian infrastructure.

โ–ช๏ธ The Kremlin continues to set informational conditions for possible hybrid provocations against the Baltic states and Georgia.

โ–ช๏ธ Russian-Israeli relations are likely continuing to decline against the backdrop of Russiaโ€™s increasingly anti-Israel stance on the Israel-Hamas war.

โ–ช๏ธ Russian forces recently made confirmed advances near Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and southwest of Donetsk City amid continued positional engagements along the entire frontline.

โ–ช๏ธ Russian authorities are reportedly paying roughly $4.5 billion per year to import Iranian Shahed drones to use in Ukraine.

โ–ช๏ธ The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) continues efforts to integrate occupied Ukraine into Russia and to seek international recognition of Russiaโ€™s illegal occupation of Ukraine.

โœ๏ธ by Murad Jazy as edited by Hikaru Kitabayashi โœ๏ธ

In contrast with Yemen, Alawite controlled Syria represents a much more complicated situation, for Iran. Beginning with the Obama administration, Syria has been subjected to various destabilization efforts, many involving the ISIS, about which there are multiple, conflicting interpretations. What every independent researcher seems to agree on is that ISIS is not an indigenous Syrian movement, but are criminal elements collected in Syria by foreign paymasters. But the extent to which these foreign paymasters were American, Israeli, Turkish, or Iranian is unclear. At the moment, though, Turkiye has been recruiting ISIS fighters for a Turkish Paramilitary Company that is training them to protect Turkish mining investments in Niger, so Turkiye is currently their biggest customer.

One common view that has been around for some time now is that the use of ISIS in Syria was created so that a tyrannical Assad regime could launch military operations against a genuinely discontented Sunni majority population. A corollary assumption was that the Iranian backed Assad regime was bombing civilians in Syria to force massive numbers of Sunni Syrians to flee Syria as refugees. Certain Muslim commentators see Hamas intervention as aid given to help fellow Sunnis in Syria get freedom from tyranny.

Their way of looking at things is straight-forward. Although America and Israel always profess great hatred of Assad, if external intervention had not happened, Syria as an overwhelmingly Sunni majority state might long ago have freed itself from Alawite minority control under Assad. Though the overthrow of Assad is a stated American and Israeli policy of long-standing, staunchly anti-Zionist Sunni commentators see room for doubt as to the sincerity of this American-Israeli stance. They have reason to believe that a government representative of the Sunni majority in Syria would, more than that of Assad's, have been more of a blessing for the Palestinian cause.

We, therefore, see on Muslim internet sites, a surprising number of anti-Assad regime statements that do not appear to be connected with American or Israeli propaganda efforts. A small collection of such statements are:

1. Whoever starves his people is a traitor.
2. I can't breathe...
3. The revolution continues.
4. Liars, the Syrian press are liars.
5. We want to live.
6. The people want to topple the regime.
7. Syria, free Syria, Iran and Russia out.
8. Syria belongs to us, not to the Assad family.

These are just a few of very recent comments emanating from Sunni Islamic circles in Syria, itself. Reading this might make certain pro-Zionist "experts" feel warm and fuzzy. After all, they claim to have been working for Assad's overthrow for over a decade. Nevertheless, they should also remember that these same certain Sunni Muslim circles are both staunchly anti-Zionist and anti-imperialist in their political orientation. They just happen to take the view that Iranian and Russian support for the Alawite rule of the Assad family has been in the service of Israel.

The conclusion is simple. In the face of a 14-year-long dislocation of people throughout Syria dwarfing that taking place now in Gaza, the situation remains grim. Due to its complicated nature, its outcome is impossible to call. What all external forces in Syria, whether Turkish, Russian, American, Israeli, or Iranian, should, therefore, remember is that, when wishing for something, that God often grants wishes, not as a form of mercy, but as an act of punishment.

Three-act comedy

Act 1: Ecuador announced the transfer of USSR-era weapons to Ukraine in exchange for new equipment from the USA worth $200 million.

Act 2: Russia found the humpback fly in bananas from Ecuador and restricted imports. Russia is the main importer of bananas from Ecuador. In 2023, they purchased $680 million worth. About 25% of banana imports fell under sanctions. Roughly the same $200 million.

Act 3: In January 2024, the first batch of bananas from India arrived in Russia. Earlier, there was a large amount of rupees from oil sales stuck there, with nowhere to spend. Apparently, now they've found a use for them.
