🇮🇱🇮🇷🇸🇾 A few days after the active phase of hostilities in the Gaza Strip resumed, the Israeli air force again launched several attacks against the Syrian Arab Republic.

Four F-35I fighter jets from Nevatim Air Base, flying along the Mediterranean coast and entering Lebanese airspace, dropped eight guided aerial munitions toward Syria.

Four were sent to the Deir Atiyah area and another four to an area 5 kilometers south of Homs. In both cases the target was the warehouses of pro-Iranian groups.

🔻Attacks against forces supported by Tehran are already routine and quite effective. But this time it is curious that the F-35I did not operate from the standard Golan Heights launch zone, but instead entered Lebanese airspace. This again indicates the lack of an effective air defense system in the entire region, which only motivates the Israelis to periodically attack Syria.

❗️In today's interview with Ukrainian Defence Minister Umarov on Fox News, the map of military operations was particularly amusing, with areas where "Ukrainian partisans" are operating shown in grey.

By the way, when Umerov said that the AFU had "already passed two out of three defence lines", the presenter should logically have asked him to show this on this map. Otherwise it remained a mystery where exactly this great breakthrough had taken place, and why Zelensky suddenly stopped it.

Amid Germany’s admission that Ukraine is not its “ally,” who else has turned their back on Kiev?

German defense minister Boris Pistorius responded to criticism about the slow pace of the delivery of arms aid to Ukraine this week by stressing that Berlin and Kiev are “not partners in an alliance,” and that “peacetime” defense sector needs more time to ramp up production to match Russia’s. Germany is not the first country to change its tune on Ukraine.

🇵🇱 Poland pulled a dramatic reversal on its ‘friends forever with Ukraine’ stance this fall, characterizing its neighbor as a “dangerous drowning man” threatening to pull others down with it, and at least temporarily halting weapons deliveries over a trade dispute.

🇸🇰 The new Slovak government which took power last month after snap elections in September announced an immediate halt to weapons deliveries to Kiev, and called on the EU to change its tune “from an arms supplier to a peacemaker.”

🇪🇺 In Western Europe, nations have taken a series of measures indicating cooling support, from measures designed to convince Ukrainian refugees to go home, to expressing concerns related to the blowback from Kiev’s corruption problems.

🇺🇸 Last but not least, in the US, the Biden administration fears an escalation of its standoff with MAGA Republicans in the House could mean that Kiev won’t find tens of billions more dollars in expected aid under the Christmas tree this year.

RETREATING AT FRONT, KIEV GOT BLOW FROM REAR IN WASHINGTON
📋🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Two Majors #Report for the Morning of 7 December 2023; pub. 07:00📍

🎯 During the night, the "Geraniums" were particularly active in hitting the port cities of #Kiliya, #Izmail, and #Reni in #Odessa region. Our drones were also working on targets in the Bolgrad district of the region, and earlier there was information that this area was being used to hide delivered weapons and equipment, as well as to house mercenaries. There were reports of the enemy fixing "Geraniums" near the airfield of #Starokonstantinov in #Khmelnitsky region.

▪️ In the #Kherson direction, the situation near #Krynki remains difficult. Despite the dense fire of our artillery and aviation, the enemy is attempting to expand the zone of control near the village, constraining the forces of our group. There is still a probability of an enemy landing in other parts of the #Kherson direction.

▪️ On the #Zaporozhye front, several attacking groups of enemy infantry were destroyed near #Rabotino and #Verbovoye. There is mutual artillery shelling, and the AFU are using cluster munitions.

▪️ In the #Avdeyevka sector, fighting continues, the RF Armed Forces have the initiative near the Coke Plant. In the south, our troops are entrenched in the industrial zone, positional battles are ongoing. There is information about the transfer of more and more AFU units into the "#Avdeyevka sack".

▪️ Northwest of #Artyomovsk (#Bakhmut) there is fighting in the area of the #Khromovo - #Berkhovskoye water reservoir - the garden centre "Valyanovsky nursery". It is reported about the intensification of hostilities north of #Soledar.

▪️ In the #Kupyansk direction in #Sinkovka, the RF Armed Forces are pushing through the enemy's defences, forcing the AFU to prepare a new line of defence outside the settlement.

💥 In the #Bryansk region, the AFU shelled the town of #Suzemka. The daily strikes of the AFU on the border areas of the #Belgorod region continue: yesterday the arrivals were recorded in the settlement of #Kozinka, Grayvoron district, and in the village of #Vyazovoye, Krasnoyaruga district. Yesterday, the Nazis carried out massive attacks on civilians in the #Donetsk People's Republic, including using HIMARS MLRSs. A woman was killed and 18 civilians were wounded, including a child born in 2021. The AFU launched a second strike on the Budenovsky market in #Donetsk, injuring 13 Emergency Situations Ministry personnel and killing two.

📸 They claim that the footage shows a group of enemy marines on our bank of the #Dnieper.👇

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Frontline #Summary for the Morning of 7 December 2023; pub. 08:01⚡️

🔹In the
#Kherson-#Crimea Direction, Ukrainian marines have continued their offensive operations in the #Krynki area and are reinforcing their positions in the village itself in terms of engineering. It can be said that they will try to hold this springboard at any cost. And it is not excluded that in the near future they will try to land on the left bank of the #Dnieper River in other areas controlled by the RF Armed Forces. (Fig. 1)

🔹In the #Zaporozhye Direction, the AFU again attacked west of the #Rabotino village.⚠️Without success. On the #Novofyodorovka side, Russian troops were already conducting similar actions.⚠️ With the same result. (Fig. 2)

🔹On the #Donetsk Front, the RF Armed Forces, supported by long-range weapons, conducted an offensive in #Maryinka, near #Pervomayskoye, #Severnoye (a settlement west of Avdeyevka) and in the industrial zone southeast of the city. Fierce counter fighting for #Steponoye (not to be confused with the settlements of the same name in the Zaporozhye and Ugledar directions). The Russian Armed Forces are seeking to expand their zone of control near #Novokalinovo.
💥 AFU missile attack on #Donetsk. (Fig. 3)

🔹In the #Bakhmut Direction, Russian units, supported by artillery, attacked at #Andreyevka, northwest of #Kleshcheyevka and from #Khromovo. There are counter battles in the area of #Bogdanovka. (Fig. 4)

🔹In the #Lugansk Direction, the RF Armed Forces attacked near #Terny, #Petropavlovka and #Sinkovka. The frontline did not change significantly. But in the last of the two listed areas, Ukrainian troops have serious problems holding positions.⚠️ Reinforcements are being deployed. (Fig. 5)

🇮🇱🇵🇸Israel-Gaza Conflict: December 6 (Recap)

1️⃣ Israel says its forces are operating in the “heart” of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, as increased fighting has continued to exacerbate the dire humanitarian situation.

2️⃣ For the first time since taking up his post, UN chief Guterres invokes Article 99 to force the Security Council to address the war in Gaza, warning it “may threaten the maintenance of international peace and security”.

3️⃣ Palestinian UN envoy Riyad Mansour appeals for action from the ICC, saying Israel has shown “the deepest contempt” for laws the court must protect.

4️⃣ Israel approves “minimal supplement” to fuel deliveries to Gaza, saying it would allow in just enough to “prevent a humanitarian collapse”.

5️⃣ Israeli ultranationalist ministers protest flow of fuel to Gaza’s hospitals, water plants - Itamar Ben-Gvir, the country’s national security minister, and Bezalel Smotrich, the country’s finance minister, were against this move.

6️⃣ James Elder, spokesman for the UN’s child relief agency, says that so-called safe zones in Gaza risk crowding thousands of people in inhumane conditions.

More than 16,248 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since October 7, with thousands more believed to be trapped in the rubble. In Israel, the official death toll stands at 1,200.

❗️US Senate blocks procedural vote for Kiev and Israel

According to The Washington Post, 49 senators voted to pass the bill, while 51 voted against it.

The rejected $110 billion aid package includes support for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan, as well as funding for border security on the US-Mexico border.

Earlier, the White House had repeatedly said that without approval of the funding, the US would run out of money to support Ukraine in a matter of weeks.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ The Situation in #Kherson Direction until 14:00 on 7 Dec 2023⚡️

🔹In the vicinity of #Krynki, Ukrainian units did not make any attempts to move inland. All efforts of the advanced groups are concentrated on holding positions on the outskirts of the forest under attacks from the Russian Army.

▪️ Similar activity of the assault groups of the 36th Marine Brigade is noted on the edge of the controlled zone in the village's west. Sappers have planted mines on the approaches and also equipped firing points.

🔹Westwards, 2 assault squads of Tactical Group "Grom" were transferred to #Alekseyevsky Island on 2 boats, apparently to conduct a rotation near the railway bridge. The cover of the watercraft was provided by the Bukovel EWe team from #Kherson.

🔹More interesting in the context of the #Kherson direction of the enemy’s movement in the direction of the #Kinburn Peninsula - Golaya Pristan. There, for several weeks, the CAESAR SAUs from the outskirts of #Kutsurub and #Ochakov have been hitting Russian positions without response.

▪️ In #Ochakov itself, as well as in #Koblevo, units of the Marines and Special Forcwes "Yug" have been stationed for an extended period of time, testing communications equipment and UAVs. According to some reports, AFU SRGs have already landed several times on the #Kinburn Spit under cover of artillery and UAVs from #Pervomaysky Island.

❗️The prolonged lack of fire in these areas creates convenient conditions for the enemy to accumulate resources and subsequently attack this area. The terrain for forcing and landing is quite suitable.

📌 The coastal zone is convenient for storing small and unmanned boats, given the attention to #Odessa and its lack of attention to the Dnieper-Bug estuary. And to the east of #Ochakov, at least two Gepard anti-aircraft installations are located, covering this area from attacks by Geraniums.

⚔️🇺🇸🐮💩 Analysis of the Situation in Ukraine by US Milbloggers of "Institute for the Study of War" (ISW):

🤥🇺🇸🇩🇪🇺🇦: The ISW trolls and the Ukro troll Umerov are lying. The terrorist hordes have not "liberated" 50% of the occupied territory. The deceivers are simply inventing occupied territory for propaganda purposes. In the failed Kiev offensive, not even the roads on which the Russian advanced were under his own control. Not one city was taken by the Russian.🔸In their "Russian Advance Boilerplate", the further advances are concealed. They are and remain embarrassing uninformed boilerplate trolls who trivialise terrorism on behalf of their own terrorist regime.🔸Morons, unspecified actors are the Ukrainian terrorist organisations that have already confessed to the crime. All the amok attacks in the US are probably committed by US partisans.🔸ISW probably continues to drink the blood of deported Russian children, according to a well informed source not wishing to be named.🔸ISW 👉🚽

⚠️ Warning! ISW is a troll entity linked to the US regime. The henchmen spread propaganda and disinformation instead of providing a picture of the situation on the front, which is evident from the mostly fruitless frontline information.

💬 The Text is quoted verbatim, including the often horrifying misspelling of localities. The respective source is linked in the footer.

🔻 December 6 Key Takeaways👻

▪️ Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov credited Western security assistance for empowering Ukrainian forces to liberate half of the territory that Russia occupied since February 24, 2022.

▪️ Russian forces conducted a notably large series of drone strikes against Ukraine on the night of December 5 to 6.

▪️ Russian President Vladimir Putin traveled to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia to meet with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman in a series of bilateral meetings on December 6.

▪️ Russian oil revenues continue to increase due to a concerted Russian effort to skirt the G7 price cap on Russian crude oil and petroleum products.

▪️ Russian society appears interested in discussing the outcome of the war in Ukraine despite the Kremlin’s increasing aversion to more in-depth public discussions of the war.

▪️ Unspecified actors killed former pro-Russian Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada deputy Ilya Kiva in Moscow Oblast on December 6.

▪️ Moscow’s 2nd Western Military District Court convicted two Russian air defense officers for negligence for failing to prevent a Ukrainian strike on Russian territory in April 2022, likely to set an example to improve discipline across the Russian military.

▪️ Russian officials are reportedly attempting to funnel migrants who have ended up in Russia due to Russia’s failed hybrid war tactics on the Russian-Finnish border into ongoing force generation efforts.

▪️ Russian forces continued offensive operations along the Kupyansk-Svatove-Kreminna line, near Bakhmut, near Avdiivka, west and southwest of Donetsk City, in the Donetsk-Zaporizhia Oblast border area, and western Zaporizhia Oblast and advanced near Avdiivka.

▪️ The Russian State Duma will reportedly consider a bill allowing Russian conscripts to serve in the Federal Security Service’s (FSB) Border Service.

▪️ Ukrainian partisans may have conducted an attack in occupied Luhansk City on December 6 that killed Luhansk People’s Republic (LNR) People’s Council Deputy Oleg Popov.

🇵🇸📣Silenced Voices: The IHRA Definition's Chokehold on Palestinian Advocacy

Amidst the backdrop of Israel's relentless assault on Gaza, a sinister narrative unfolds within the hallowed halls of academia. In universities worldwide, particularly in Australia, the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of anti-Semitism is being weaponized to silence critical discourse on Israel’s human rights violations and war crimes. This chilling trend is vividly illustrated at the University of Melbourne, where the administration's embrace of the Israeli narrative and refusal to condemn actions tantamount to genocide cast a shadow over academic freedom.

This stifling of dissent reaches a fever pitch amid Israel's bombardment of Gaza, claiming over 16,000 lives, including over 6,000 children. The IHRA definition, rather than serving as a beacon against racism, has been contorted into a tool of oppression, suppressing solidarity with Palestinians and bolstering colonial violence. The definition's adoption across Australian campuses, painted as an antiracism initiative, reveals a sinister anti-Palestinian undercurrent, misrepresenting the Palestinian-Israeli conflict as merely sectarian.

The IHRA definition's insidious impact is felt deeply among students and staff who dare to challenge Zionism. Righteous condemnation of Israel’s policies must be distinguished from anti-Semitism, with the former being a legitimate critique of a political ideology and state actions, and the latter an unacceptable attack on the Jewish people as a whole. The tactics of intimidation and silencing, reminiscent of dark, authoritarian regimes, are now a grim reality in academic settings. Palestinian students, already burdened by the trauma of their homeland's suffering, are further marginalized, their voices and experiences dismissed under the guise of fighting anti-Semitism.

The struggle against the IHRA definition is a microcosm of the larger battle for Palestinian rights. The Israeli narrative, propagated through such definitions, seeks to criminalize and silence any form of dissent or criticism. This narrative, however, is being increasingly challenged, as evidenced by the outcry at the University of Melbourne. Over 2,500 staff, students, and alumni have rallied against the administration's one-sided stance on the Gaza war, demanding a retraction of the IHRA definition and calling for the university to acknowledge the Palestinian struggle.

The pushback against this stifling academic environment is not limited to petitions and open letters. Disciplines and unions within the university are uniting in their condemnation of the Israeli war on Gaza and the criminalization of Palestinian solidarity. This united front serves as a beacon of hope in a landscape marred by censorship and repression, highlighting the resilience of those who refuse to be silenced in the face of injustice.

The IHRA definition, far from being a mere academic tool, has become a battleground in the war against Palestinian advocacy. Its use in Australian universities, and indeed globally, is emblematic of a broader strategy to suppress critical voices and control the narrative surrounding Israel and Palestine. The fight against this definition is not just about academic freedom; it's about standing up against a systemic campaign to erase Palestinian identity and history.

In a world where speaking truth to power is increasingly fraught with peril, the courage of those challenging the IHRA definition shines brightly. Their refusal to bow to intimidation and censorship is a testament to the enduring spirit of the Palestinian cause. It begs the question: Will these voices be heeded, or will the iron grip of oppressive narratives continue to strangle the truth? The answer to this question will not only define the future of academic freedom but also the very essence of justice and equality.

#OPed
