The head of the mobilization department of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces Evgeny Burdinsky revealed the details of the process of mobilization in Russia and the formation of new units. His report was published in the magazine of the Ministry of Defense, but it was soon deleted. The report remained in the web archive.
Highlights from the report:
Of the mobilized formed 280 new units.
The Russian army is experiencing problems with "the unpreparedness of part of society to perform military duties" and blames the "information pressure of the online blogging community" for this.
The RF Armed Forces have a problem with the provision of weapons and equipment, and state corporations and private companies help with the supply of equipment.
The Ministry of Defense began to involve employees of security companies in the war.
The military registration and enlistment offices also compiled a database of 31.6 million people, 2.9 million of them are people of military age. The authorities also collect up-to-date mobile phone numbers and email addresses of those liable for military service.
The government's reserve fund allocated 5 billion rubles to "stimulate" military enlistment office employees working on mobilization and conscription.
In 2023, the General Staff plans to create a new combined arms and air army, one army corps, five divisions, 26 brigades, and also form the Azov naval region.
In 2023, the military registration and enlistment offices will conduct organized raids on conscripts together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Draft evasion in Russia has become even more difficult due to new rules on electronic subpoenas, which will affect not only conscripts, but also reservists. AI in warfare may add that element of precision and efficiency, but on the other hand at the risk of it going rogue when not trained correctly, or even from bad actors gaining control. There will be a lot of mistakes made in the future with consequences, as we are very much still at the experimental stage

How expected and natural. The footage of Patriot missiles being shot down is not playing into the hands of the US defence industry. The fall in the share price of Raytheon Technologies Corporation shows that Patriot is not as effective as Ukrainian propaganda makes it out to be.
Western air defence systems have shown low effectiveness in all conflicts in which they have been deployed. Apparently, a similar result was predicted in the West, which is why they were so reluctant to supply their systems.

Citing US intelligence sources, the news agency's journalists claimed that paramilitary units under the control of the Iranian IRGC's Quds Forces are preparing new attacks against the US military contingent.

🔹 On the #Svatovo site, Russian fighters recently attacked the positions of the AFU's 92nd Mechanized Brigade in #Novoselovskoye. During the ensuing battle, the RF Armed Forces were able to occupy several houses in the village. But the reinforcements of the AFU arrived in time, as well as active fire support, forced the servicemen of the RF Armed Forces to retreat to their initial positions in #Kuzemovka.
▪️ In another area north of #Kuzemovka, Russian reconnaissance groups squeezed out Ukrainian formations from positions near the railway, occupying an important bridgehead on the opposite side of the railway line.
▪️ Assault groups of the 92nd AFU Brigade tried to counterattack from the #Berestovoye area in the direction of #Kuzemovka, but the attack was repulsed, and the Ukrainian formations were forced to retreat.
📌 At the moment, the line of contact mostly runs along the railway. #Kuzemovka is under the control of Russian troops. Having occupied an important height at the bend of the railway line, the RF Armed Forces created a springboard for further movement to #Novoselovskoye.
The settlement, unlike #Kuzemovka, is located on a hill, which complicates its assault. In this case, it is more promising to attack from the flanks, taking advantage of the terrain.
