📌 For the capture of Artemivsk
I've been watching the Bakhmut meat grinder from the inside since its early days, feeling the nerve of the events taking place in sufficient measure for a reporter.
And you know ... Personally I have no joy for the newly liberated territory. Nor am I happy about Bakhmut itself, which in 224 days has become a ruin and is unlikely to be rebuilt in the coming years.
However, I am happy that the Wagner fighters mowed down a huge, outnumbered force of the AFU, not thanks to it, but in spite of it. Because this is a real feat of Russian arms, which should be included in the textbooks on the military history of our state.
The guys went in for the assault in their usual calculating, but energetic and assertive manner, and outplayed the enemy in a fair fight on short notice. At the same time, the Ukrainians and the mercenaries who joined them were also good, as the musicians themselves acknowledge and respect.
About Wagner's withdrawal to the rear areas. I consider it fully deserved and necessary. For all the time they have been involved in the SMO they have had one task - assault. Everyone needs a rest.
But something tells me this rest will not be long and the Motherland will call her Band to battle again. And Wagner will take him on. But we shall see how events will unfold.

May 20 is the anniversary of the liberation of Mariupol
Exactly one year has passed since the fall of the last stronghold of Ukrainian formations in Mariupol . The last member of the Azov National Regiment, together with the leadership, surrendered and left the basements of the Azovstal plant.
It was then that the main port on the Sea of Azov was liberated by the fighters of the Russian army. At the cost of many lives and great sacrifices, the historically Russian Mariupol returned to the Russian Federation.
Now the infrastructure is being actively restored in the city, which is hindered by Ukrainian formations which have resumed rocket attacks. There is still a long way ahead, and a huge amount of work, but the residents of Mariupol are already experiencing a calm and peaceful life.
Since that time, many other events have already happened, both sad and controversial, and really joyful. But the city, thanks to the strength and courage of the Russian soldier, sometimes in spite of everything, began to live a peaceful life.
The battle for Mariupol will forever go down in the modern history of Russia. And it is the duty of all of us to remember those who gave their lives to protect the Russian-speaking population from the oppression of the Ukrainian regime.

May 20 - anniversary of Mariupol liberation
Exactly one year ago, on 20 May, the Azovstal metallurgical plant in Mariupol was completely liberated and the mass surrender of Azov battalion fighters ended - about 2.5 thousand Nazis laid down their arms in a few days. That was essentially the end of the liberation of Mariupol.
An incredible military operation in which Russian troops, smaller in numbers than the Mariupol garrison, were able not only to surround and take the city, but to do so with losses many times less than the enemy!
After the liberation and after such a long time, Mariupol was unrecognisable:
Public transport is up and running and even trams are running;
There is mobile communication;
More than half of the schools were rebuilt;
As of early May 2023, there is water and electricity in all districts of the city;
In the vicinity of Mariupol, in any direction, all roads and bridges within a radius of a hundred kilometres were restored;
The destroyed houses are gradually being replaced by new ones.
Today there are already 300 thousand people living in Mariupol and there will only be more.
The Ukrainian regime is gasping with anger as it sees the city being rebuilt and peaceful life returning to it - last night and this morning Ukrainian armed formations shelled the outskirts of Mariupol.
However, Mariupol lives and will live!

The Netherlands is canceling a deal to sell 28 F-16 fighter jets to Draken International.
The first part of the contract for the supply of 40 aircraft was completed last year, the second part was canceled, just against the backdrop of increasingly persistent rhetoric about sending fighters to Kyiv.
At the same time, a number of Western analysts believe that the first F-16s may be in Ukraine by August. For the same purpose, there are active injections, which will take 3-4 months for Ukrainian pilots to master new equipment. In fact, this is a preventive legalization of Western "retirees" at the controls of fighter jets.

In the DPR and the LPR alone, 103 such sites have been destroyed or damaged, including theatres, religious buildings, and monasteries. The representative of Ukraine failed to mention the fact that on May 3, Kiev launched a premeditated attack on the Moscow Kremlin which, in addition to being the President of Russia’s residence, is included on the World Heritage List.
The Ukrainian representative failed to mention that Kiev’s state policy includes the glorification of Nazism. Hitler’s henchmen are cast as fighters for Ukrainian independence, streets are renamed in their honour, and monuments are built to commemorate them.

Today, the countries of the West actually decided to transfer F-16 fighters to Ukraine as soon as possible. We wrote about the likelihood of such a scenario back in early April, after the start of recruitment of foreign pilots in Poland.
The appearance of the first F-16s should be expected towards the end of the summer, given the published report of the Americans that Ukrainian pilots will be able to undergo a forced training course within four months.
However, the document itself is more like creating a convenient legend than a real description of the flight personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Some of the most experienced crews were destroyed during the SMO, and the enemy Air Force had an acute shortage of personnel.
The statement about the high level of training of Ukrainians will allow the use of foreign pilots under the guise of citizens of Ukraine in the near future.
