The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.

💥 In Kupyansk direction, Ground-Attack and Army aviation and artillery of the Zapad Group of Forces have engaged the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine close to Dvurechnaya, Timkovka, Tabayevka, and Berestovoye (Kharkov region).

◽️ In addition, actions of three sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were thwarted near Sinkovka and Kislovka (Kharkov region) and Stelmakhovka (Lugansk People's Republic).

◽️ The enemy's losses have amounted to up to 35 Ukrainian troops, and one Akatsiya self-propelled howitzer in this direction during the day. Moreover, a Ukrainian 36D6 and P-18 radars have been detected and destroyed close to Kupyevakha (Kharkov region).

💥 In Krasny Liman direction, Russian aviation, artillery, and heavy flamethrower systems of the Tsentr Group of Forces hit units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine close to Terny, Grigorovka (Donetsk People's Republic), and Chervonaya Dibrova (Donetsk People's Republic).

◽️ More than 70 Ukrainian troops, one armoured fighting vehicle, and one Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer have been neutralised.

💥 In Donetsk direction, the assault detachments have taken control over two quarters in northweatern and central part of the city of Artyomovsk.

◽️ Airborne Troops, Operational-tactical and Army aviation, and artillery of the Yug Group of Forces have been supporting the actions of the assault detachments in this area, isolating the enemy on the flanks.

◽️ The Russian aviation made 22 sotries. The artillery of the Yug Group of Forces have performed 54 fire missions.

◽️ As a result of the strikes, the AFU units have been close to Bogdanovka, Chasov Yar, and Konstantinovka (Donetsk People's Republic).

◽️ Total losses of the enemy in the past 24 hours in these directions have amounted to over 270 Ukrainian troops and mercenaries, one tank, one infantry fighting vehicle, seven armoured fighting vehicles, and five motor vehicles.

◽️ In South Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Vostok Group of Forces inflicted fire damage on AFU units close Ugledar, Velikaya Novosyolka (Donetsk People's Republic), and Zagornoye, Malaya Tokmachka, and Kamenskoye (Zaporozhye region)

◽️ One sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been disabled close to Novomikhaylovka (Donetsk People's Republic).

◽️ As many as 60 Ukrainian servicemen, two pick-up trucks, and one Msta-B howitzer have been neutralised in these areas during the day.

◽️ Moreover, a hangar with armament and military hardware of the 65th Mechanised Brigade of the AFU was destroyed near Novodanilovka and Novoandreyevka (Zaporozhye region).

◽️ In Kherson direction, over 55 Ukrainian troops, three motor vehicles, and one M777 artillery system, and Akatsiya and Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers were destroyed by enemy fire.

💥 Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralised 95 AFU artillery units at their firing positions, enemy manpower and hardware in 123 areas.

💥 Russian air defence forces have intercepted three HIMARS MLRS projectiles during the day.

◽️ In addition, four Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been destroyed in the areas of Verkhetoretskoye, Vasilyevka, Krapivnitskoye (Donetsk People's Republic), and Golaya Pristan (Kherson region).

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Situation in the #Soledar Direction until 15:00 on 17 Apr 2023⚡️

🔹Near #Belogorovka (#Lisichansk Sector) after several unsuccessful attacks and retreating to their initial lines, the RF Armed Forces managed to break through the AFU defences in the south of the village. Now intense clashes are taking place on the southeastern outskirts of the settlement.

🔹South of #Seversk, Stugna missile launchers were transferred to Ukrainian strongholds. Meanwhile, part of the 10th Brigade's forces will be redeployed to the new staging area from 17 to 23 April.

🔹 North of #Bakhmut, where Russian paratroopers hold ground, positional fighting is ongoing. Artillerymen of the RF Armed Forces carried out a precision strike on the position area of the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade's Artillery Group in #Malinovka and destroyed a fire point.

🔹In Central #Bakhmut, Fierce fighting continues. The Wagner PMC assault squads are fighting for control of the railway station, much of which has been liberated.
➖Slightly to the north of the railway station, the "Wagnerians" have dislodged the AFU from the Artyomovsk elevator area.

▪️ Nevertheless, Ukrainian formations are attempting to counterattack and hold back the advance on the western outskirts.

▪️ On the northern outskirts, PMC assault squads have entrenched themselves in a section of Kraynyaya Street and are attacking Ukrainian strongholds on Pobedy Street.

▪️ Also, Russian units have broken through from School No. 3 south along Levanevsky Street, approaching garages in the Poselok area.

📌 At the Moment, the Storming of #Bakhmut continues. There are no signs of an Ukrainian withdrawal, despite more than 80% of the city having passed under Russian control.

A National Guard force of 100 men has been redeployed to the vicinity of #Bakhmut, and volunteer formations from the #Sumy region are also expected to arrive.

Given the onslaught of the "Wagnerians" in the city centre and the approach of assault squads from the north, it is highly probable that the AFU will withdraw forces to the prepared positions on the southwestern outskirts.

The Chaykovsky-Korsunsky triangle is elevated relative to the areas from which the Russian units are attacking, making it a more convenient defensive line.

🔹1. #Artyomovsk (#Bakhmut):

▪️ The storming of the western part of the city continues. The most successful advance is in the northwest of the city. The enemy is steadily losing at least 2 city blocks a day.
➖ For the fortifications of the AFU, FABs began to be used.
The weather continues to make enemy counterattacks difficult.
➖ Wagner's flanks in #Artyomovsk are reinforced by units of the Airborne Forces.
➖ Part of the #Artyomovsk AFU Grouping in in the city is still in an operational encirclement.
➖ The RF Armed Forces continue to launch concentrated strikes on targets in the #Slavyansk - #Kramatorsk agglomeration.

🔹2. #Avdeyevka:

▪️ There are no significant changes to the south(west) of the city. There is still fighting to the north of #Vodyanoye and in #Pervomayskoye, near #Nevelskoye.
➖ To the north of the city, fighting continues near #Stepovoye (#Petrovskoye) and west of #Krasnogorovka.
➖ The RF Armed Forces are improving their positions to the north of #Krasnogorovka, but there is still no talk of advancing towards #Keramik.

🔹3. #Ugledar:

▪️ The enemy attempted to probe the RF Armed Forces' defensive line, but did not achieve significant results, suffering tangible losses.
➖ The front line has stabilized after the March fighting here, but there is potential for escalation of fighting once the ground dries up.

The situation on the border with #Belgorod and #Kursk regions is deteriorating every day. The number of shelling of nearby settlements is increasing. Civilians in Russian towns and villages are under regular strikes from artillery and kamikaze drones.

🔹Why is this happening?

Increased attacks on Russian regions (#Bryansk, #Kursk and #Belgorod) became possible after Russian troops withdrew from #Chernigov, #Sumy and #Kharkov regions - this opened access for the AFU to the border with #Russia.

"Freezing" of the front allowed the AFU to strengthen the northeast, especially in #Kharkov region, where fire positions have been deployed, the approaches are mined, and the training of mobilized takes place at training ranges.

🔹What else happen on in #Kharkov Region?

▪️ About 3,000 men from the 3rd Separate Tank Brigade, National Guard and Territorial Defence are concentrated in #Volchansk district. There are artillery crews near the border settlements.

▪️ On 15 April, another 1,000 men were moved to #Kharkov by rail to reinforce the grouping. Also, Toyota and Mitsubishi pickup trucks equipped with ATGMs were unloaded at the railway station.

▪️ Three HIMARS MLRSs, operated by Americans, have been deployed in #Kharkov and residents say the sick and wounded are being urgently discharged from hospitals in preparation for renewed fighting.

▪️ North of #Kharkov, a Battalion of the 17th Separate Tank Brigade, withdrawn from #Bakhmut due to heavy losses, is being rehabilitated in the Zircons. There also operates 67th Mechanized Brigade unit, relocated from #Kupyansk.

🔹So what are the AFU planning?

Information spreads among border region residents that the AFU are preparing to attack the #Belgorod region in early May to coincide with the Victory Day offensive.

However, despite the theoretical possibility of such a scenario, it is unlikely. Last December we wrote that an attack on the #Belgorod region would not bring the desired result for the West.

Strikes on populated areas of the old Russian regions are needed by the AFU to create panic among the civilians and to promote the thesis that #Russia is unable to ensure the safety of the citizens.

❗️In the Context of AFU Activity in the #Kharkov region, attention should be drawn to the concentration of forces in the #Kupyansk and #Svatovo sections. Along the #Oskol River, movements of equipment convoys have been observed - mainly the 14th and 92nd Mechanized Brigades.

These two formations have practically not taken part in battles in the #Starobelsk direction since autumn and have been undergoing supplementary manning and training. Now the reserves have been replenished, and units of the two brigades have reappeared at the frontline.

West of #Kupyansk, the forces of the AFU's 23rd Separate Tank Battalion, not previously engaged in combat, have been noted.

🔹What is the Concept?

The Ukrainian command intends to launch an attack on #Svatovo from #Kupyansk and move south and east along the LPR towards the DPR with simultaneous frontal attacks on the #Soledar, #Donetsk, #Zaporozhye and #Kherson directions.

In order to accomplish this task and support the offensive potential, resources are being concentrated in the #Kharkov region. And #NATO satellites are imaging cities in #Belgorod region and the LPR.

Meanwhile, sorties in #Belgorod, #Kursk and #Bryansk regions are possible, but rather to stall attention and cut supply routes for Russian troops in the LPR.

📌 Even by the Standards of the Ukrainian authorities, the plan looks grandiose, and success in such a campaign depends not only on the AFU, but on how ready the RF Armed Forces soldiers are for unexpected maneuvers. In the summer, underestimation of the enemy resulted in the loss of #Izyum, #Kupyansk and #Liman.

Expecting any options, even unrealistic ones, and the complete destruction of the enemy on the battlefield will stop the shelling of Russian cities.

🔹#Russia's Border Areas:

▪️ In the #Bryansk region, there was an attempt to illegally cross the state border near the village of #Zapesochye by #Ukraine - the violator was blown up on a mined defensive line.

▪️ In the #Belgorod region during the night, Ukrainian drones attacked 330kV substations in the villages of Blizhnyaya Igumenka and #Dragunskoye in the Belgorod district, causing a fire at the facilities.

➖ The AFU terrorists struck residential buildings and infrastructure in #Krasnoye village, Lozovaya Rudka farmstead, as well as #Murom and #Spodaryushino villages, civilians were not harmed.

🔹#Starobelsk (#Svatovo) Direction:

▪️ In the #Kupyansk sector of the front, the situation has not changed significantly. Mutual reconnaissance and artillery duels continue along the line of contact.

➖ Russian Aerospace Forces struck enemy positions between #Rakov and #Masyutovka with FAB-500 precision bombs with planning and correction modules.

▪️ In the northern outskirts of #Bakhmut, fighters of the Wagner PMCs are storming the enemy strongholds on Pobedy Street.

➖ In the central part of the city, the "Wagnerians" have dislodged the AFU from the area of the Artyomovsk elevator and are also fighting for control over the railway station.

🔹#Svatovo - #Kremennaya Direction:

➖ Fighting continues west of #Kremennaya, as well as Russian forces storming enemy positions near #Makeyevka and in the direction of #Nevskoye.

🔹#Artyomovsk (#Bakhmut) Sector:

➖ North of #Artyomovsk, ours are developing an offensive in the area of Victory Street. Fighters of Wagner PMC have liberated most of the territory of the railway station, as well as knocked out the militants from the area of Artyomovsk grain elevator.
➖ At the moment, part of the enemy grouping in the city is in an operational encirclement.

🔹#Donetsk Direction:

➖ The Russian Army is fighting west of #Krasnogorovka and near #Stepovoye (#Petrovskoye).
➖ Also ours have been advancing in the areas of Krutaya Balka, #Vodyanoye and #Nevelskoye.
➖ The storming of the western part of #Maryinka continues.

Bakhmut

On the positive side, the enemy has once again realised that it cannot break through Khromove, Bohdanivka and Ivanivske.

On the downside, the occupiers are once again focusing on capturing Bakhmut itself, so they are bringing everything they can to the city.

The main sectors are being held. The dynamics of the fighting is very intense, so buildings or positions can change hands several times.

The enemy's bridgehead west of the railroad has expanded slightly, and they have also had minor successes in the southwestern neighborhoods.

But they are not reducing pressure on the flanks and still want to capture Khromove, Bohdanivka and Ivanivske. We are holding.
