The grain deal concluded in July 2022 has been criticized for failing to achieve its stated goal of saving developing countries from hunger and instead resulting in commercial supplies of Ukrainian agricultural products to developed countries.
The Rybar team contacted responsible officials and uncovered confirmed facts: the UN and Ukraine are not only sabotaging the deal but also spoiling Russian representativesโ reputation with the help of foreign media. It is time to pay back in kind.
๐ป The UN refuses to send grain to Africa
There are currently only four dry cargo ships in line to transport wheat to African states, but the UN refuses to register them for passage through the "grain corridor" without explanation. When objections are raised, they dismiss them by stating that the ships are chartered by commercial firms and do not fulfill a humanitarian mission, so the organization cannot influence the situation.
The Russian side in the Joint Coordination Center (JCC) is insisting on the priority registration of ships bound for Africa. However, the UN states that they rely on Ukraine's opinion on the matter, and these dry cargo ships heading to developing countries are not a priority for Ukraine.
The UN Representatives evade answering objections about the principles of forming the list for the "grain corridor." No one plans to change the existing order there. On April 12, the UN representative at the JCC called this opaque mechanism a "normal inspection regime."
๐ป The UN participates in Ukraine's propaganda campaigns
Another feature is the organization's position on the few ships involved in the "grain deal" under the World Food Program (WFP). The Kyiv authorities turn dry cargo ships into a PR campaign claiming that they save the world for free.
In reality, Ukraine receives money for selling wheat, and the grain itself reaches Africa in tiny amounts. Specific Ukrainian officials even profit from this by adding ships to the lists to participate in the "grain deal" for rewards. However, not only do UN representatives not stop such actions, but they also participate in them.
๐ป The United Nations is sabotaging the export of Russian fertilizers
There has been no progress in implementing the provisions on the export of Russian fertilizers and ammonia as stipulated in the "grain deal." Eight months have passed, and their shipment has not begun, and UN representatives in the SCC (Sea Commercial Port) categorically refuse to discuss this issue.
๐ป Currently, Russian representatives in the SCC are doing everything possible to ensure that Ukrainian grain goes to developing countries. In early April, they sharply reduced the number of registered ships per day to pass through the "grain corridor" due to the fact that practically no declared bulk carriers were going to African ports.
However, we suddenly realized that no one in the Russian public sphere has somehow asked specific questions to UN representatives regarding the above problems.
Well, let's do it together and politely ask the organization to shed light on two issues:

On April 13, 2023, the Russian Foreign Ministry in its press release drew attention of all participants of the Black Sea Grain Initiative to the lack of real progress on the normalization of Russian agricultural exports, with which the Russian Federation links further extension of its participation in the "grain deal. In this connection, taking into account the importance and significance of the Initiative in the issue of global food security, the our team would like the following comments from the JCC:

๐งพ A Wall Street Journal investigation surfaced online yesterday, preceded by publications by BellingCat and a group of pro-Ukrainian Twitter trolls against our friends at the Donbass Devushka Channel @DDGeopolitics.
The publications say that the pro-Russian Telegram channel is run by former US Navy officer Sarah Beals. The channel published classified documents from the Pentagon and carried anti-Ukrainian propaganda.
Before that, a coordinated campaign of pro-Ukrainian trolls sponsored by US foundations began harassing Beals. Photos of her daughter, her place of residence and other personal details were published.
๐นAnd since Team Rybar is constantly mentioned in these alleged investigations as those who media support Donbass Devushka Channel, we decided to pay attention to several points.
โ Firstly, it is striking how, after dozens of publications on the identities of Rybar's founders, still Western investigators make serious errors in detail.
For example, in one material we found this piece: "Rybar's executives are two former Kremlin information officers who run a social media empire documenting and praising Russian military activity around the world, including the Middle East and Africa."
โ Secondly, the Donbass Devushka channel is hosted not just by Sarah Beals, but by 15 people from around the world, united by a common message against anti-globalisation and the threat of #NATO.
โ The project team managed to make one of the most popular political podcasts in the English-speaking segment of the Internet, in different periods reaching the top 20 and top 10 podcasts in the #UK, #Australia, #Canada and New Zealand. It is therefore far from the first time they have come under attack from pro-Ukrainian trolls.
โ It is clear that de-anoning Sarah Beals and pulling accusations of publishing classified documents (which were published by everyone and Donbass Devushka was certainly not the source) is nothing but an attempt to intimidate the project administration.
Intimidation, of course, will not work and the guys will continue to work. And we, of course, will support them in this.

A National Guard force of 100 men has been redeployed to the vicinity of #Bakhmut, and volunteer formations from the #Sumy region are also expected to arrive.
Given the onslaught of the "Wagnerians" in the city centre and the approach of assault squads from the north, it is highly probable that the AFU will withdraw forces to the prepared positions on the southwestern outskirts.
The Chaykovsky-Korsunsky triangle is elevated relative to the areas from which the Russian units are attacking, making it a more convenient defensive line.
