More and more Western leaders are seeking a face-to-face meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, who recently visited Moscow for joint talks with Vladimir Putin. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez have already visited Beijing. Now French President Emmanuel Macron and Ursula von der Leyen, head of the European Commission, travel to China.
The Western press has interpreted the visits of EU leaders to Xi differently. Some call them "diplomatic preparations for peace talks," while others call them almost an ultimatum to the Chinese president to either support anti-Russian sanctions and forget about cooperation with Russia, or become a rogue country.
"Europeans are trying to convince China that the EU is an independent force, not a shadow of the U.S.," the BBC writes. "French President Emmanuel Macron and U.S. President Joe Biden in a phone call before Macron's visit to Beijing agreed to engage China to accelerate the end of the war in Ukraine," Reuters reports at the same time.

โฝ๏ธ In order to divert the attention of the international community from the facts of numerous war crimes published by the UN, committed by the Ukrainian army and militants of nationalist formations, the regime in Kiev has planned a special information campaign.
โฝ๏ธ For its implementation, during the last two weeks, in the village of Ajtyrka, Sumy region, a so-called section of the "advanced defence line of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the line of contact with the Russian troops" has been prepared.
โฝ๏ธ It is planned to bring the bodies and remains of the dead Ukrainian servicemen from the morgues to the equipped pseudo-positions, whose death allegedly occurred as a result of damage by fire from "Russian" artillery ammunition equipped with "poisonous substances".
โฝ๏ธ The Kiev regime plans to treat this area and the remains of Ukrainian military personnel with a poisonous substance. This will allow invited experts from Western countries, who are currently on the territory of Ukraine, to document the alleged "use of "chemical weapons" by the Russian armed forces".

Our GEOINT team has pinpointed the exact location of the target. The Russian strike destroyed the building of ZapAgroTech (formerly Selmash), an agricultural machinery manufacturing company.

The site itself is quite extensive and the presence of covered hangars provides a convenient place to store weapons and ammunition. The AFU is now actively preparing for an ๐ offensive and the relocation of military equipment to the frontline town is justified.
The extremely poor information coverage of what happened by the Ukrainian side and the absence of other photographs at the very least suggest that the Ukrainian authorities do not want any details to leak out on the net.
Yesterday, Russian artillerymen ๐ destroyed another hangar containing two HIMARS rocket launchers in #Orekhov. The defeat of two weapons or ammunition storage sites would significantly affect the AFU's capabilities in #Zaporozhye region prior to an offensive.

๐ The Rybar Team has in its possession quite an interesting document with the analysis of effectiveness and tactics of the Lancet-1 and Lancet-3 drones, conducted by the Ukrainian General Staff for the period 2022 - 2023. The authors attempted to identify the pros and cons of drones and assess the level of threat posed by them.
๐นWhat Advantages did the Enemy see at the Device?
The Ukrainian command noted the strengths of the Lancets as being equipped with modern multifunctional guidance systems and the ability to use them against moving objects at a range of up to 60 km.
In addition, the drones' small size, relative silence and composite material construction make them extremely difficult targets to identify by radar detection means.
๐นWhat are the Disadvantages?
Among the disadvantages, the AFU noted a low flight speed (up to 100km/h) and not much of a warhead (one to five kilograms), which makes them ineffective against armoured targets.
๐นWhat do the AFU General Staff think about these UAVs?
Kiev believes that the mass delivery of kamikaze drones of this type has created serious problems for AFU units in various directions. In total, more than 200 pieces of artillery, especially American M777 howitzers, have been destroyed or damaged since their mass use began.
At the same time, a barrage duration of 30-40 minutes is recognised as sufficient to support the RF Armed Forces' ground units at the tactical level. However, the Ukrainian command believes that they are currently used only by servicemen in Forces of Special Operation and mobile reconnaissance groups, which limits the capabilities of the RF Armed Forces' infantry forces.
The most dangerous period of their use is at night between 23.00 and 06.00 because of the difficulty in visually monitoring the air situation and determining the exact number of munitions being flown.
โ๏ธA curious Detail was pointed out in the report: the Lancets are usually used in conjunction with the Orlan-10 and Orlan-30 reconnaissance UAVs, as well as Iran's Mohajer-4 and Mohajer-6 reconnaissance strike UAVs. Which is rather odd, as ZALA reconnaissance drones are usually paired.
Information about #Russia's purchase of Iranian drones has been circulating on the net for quite some time. And this document indirectly confirms the presence of reconnaissance strike systems produced by #Iran on the balance sheet of the Russian army.
The Lancet kamikaze drones have indeed demonstrated their high efficiency in hitting enemy artillery emplacements. When combined with reconnaissance assets with good optical systems, the bomber munitions become an effective means of suppressing fire.
Therefore, every effort must now be made to provide reconnaissance bumpers to all units on the frontline as much as possible. The massive use of Lancets on the frontline will significantly reduce the combat capabilities of the AFU ahead of the declared offensive.

UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay visited #Odessa a few days ago. The high-ranking UN representative presented a certificate confirming that the centre of the Old City of #Odessa has become a World Heritage Site under UN protection.
However, there is a nuance to this situation. The area designated by the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization is much smaller than the actual boundaries of the historic centre of #Odessa, the socalled 'South Palmyra'.
๐นWhy did this happen?
The United Nations and its subordinate institutions have long ceased to act as independent bodies for the maintenance of international peace and security. The UN has definitively become a partisan structure that is totally ineffective and has lost its objectivity.
Specifically in the case of #Odessa, it should be noted which zone was selected by UNESCO for protection. The UN protection includes the Odessa Merchant Sea Port and the adjacent infrastructure, which includes Shipyard #2 and the railway station.
In addition, civilian infrastructure near the port, such as administration buildings, educational institutions and various hotels and hotels - all of which could be used to house certain people and store important cargo - has also been placed under protection.
๐นBut why couldn't the whole Old Town be put under guard?
Western countries are deeply indifferent to what happens to #Ukraine, its cities and population - they all act as bargaining chips in a global plan to weaken #Russia. The protection of #Odessa's historical heritage is of little interest to the US-controlled United Nations.
The UNESCO head has only fulfilled her mission to symbolise the territory of Odessa port, which is important for the "Western partners" as a logistic hub from #Europe to #Ukraine and backwards.
Ships under the guise of a grain deal deliver essential military cargoes to #Ukraine via the corridor, and take out all the most valuable stuff in #Ukraine on the way back. And the rail link near the sea harbour makes it much easier to deliver both ways.
๐ As with the officially designated restrictions on ๐ media personnel in southern #Ukraine, such actions only highlight what the Ukrainian authorities and Western countries are trying to shield from outside scrutiny and protect from Russian military strikes.
Such actions on the part of UNESCO do not provide any guarantees of protection against missile attacks, but in case of strikes on the port infrastructure or any hotel in this area, the collective West will instantly accuse #Russia of purposeful destruction of "important for the whole world historical objects".
The fact that these hotels are used for accommodation of foreign mercenaries and the seaport itself for transportation of arms and other important cargo is just a nuance that European and US average citizens are not particularly interested in.

๐ฅ In Kupyansk direction, Operational-Tactical and Army aviation and artillery of the Zapad Group of Forces inflicted a fire damage on the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) close to Olshana, Timkovka, Krakhmalnoye (Kharkov region), and Stelmakhovka (Lugansk People's Republic).
โป๏ธ In addition, Russian troops disrupted actions of two Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups near Sinkovka (Kharkov region) and Novoselovskoye (Lugansk People's Republic).
๐ฅ More than 35 Ukrainian servicemen, one armoured fighting vehicle, and two motor vehicles have been eliminated during the day in this direction.
โฝ๏ธ In Krasny Liman direction, Russian artillery and heavy flamethrower systems of the Tsentr Group of Forces hit units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine close to Nevskoye, Chervonaya Dibrova (Lugansk People's Republic), Torskoye, Terny, and Serebryanka (Donetsk People's Republic).
๐ฅ The enemy has suffered losses of up to 55 Ukrainian troops, one armoured fighting vehicle, one motor vehicle, one Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer, and one D-20 howitzer in this direction in the past 24 hours.
โป๏ธIn Donetsk direction, the Yug Group of Forces, Operational-Tactical Aviation, and artillery have eliminated up to 250 Ukrainian troops, one tank, three armoured fighting vehicles, nine motor vehicles, Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, and Msta-B and D-20 howitzers over the past 24 hours.
๐ฅ In South Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, aviation and artillery of the Vostok Group of Forces inflicted a fire damage on the AFU units close to Pavlovka and Vodyanoye (Donetsk People's Republic).
โป๏ธIn addition, Russian troops disrupted actions of two Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups near Novosyolka and Vladimirovka (Donetsk People's Republic).
๐ฅ The enemy has suffered losses of up to 20 Ukrainian troops, one armoured fighting vehicle, one Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer, and D-20 and D-30 howitzers in these directions in the past 24 hours.
โฝ๏ธ In Kherson direction, more than 60 Ukrainian servicemen, three armoured fighting vehicles, eight motor vehicles, Gvozdika and Akatsiya self-propelled artillery guns, and one Giatsint-B gun have been eliminated during the day.
๐ฅ Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Group of Forces have engaged 98 AFU artillery units at their fire positions, manpower, and military hardware in 127 areas during the day.
๐ฅ A forward command post of the Kharkov operational group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was hit close to Veliky Burluk (Kharkov region).
๐ฅ Ammunition depots of the 102nd Territorial Defence Brigade and 72nd Mechanised Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been hit close to Orekhov (Zaporozhye region) and Ugledar (Donetsk People's Republic).
๐ฅ In addition, a high-precision missile strike near the city of Zaporozhye obliterated a storage facility with 70,000 tonnes of fuel stored to support the AFU group operations in Donbass.
๐ฅ Air defence systems have downed 10 HIMARS and Smerch projectiles and one Grom-2 operational-tactical missile during the day.
