More than 16,000 Ukrainian servicemen to complete training in EU by the end of April

The number of Ukrainian servicemen trained in the EU will reach more than 16,000 in April, the commander of the EU training mission, Vice-Admiral Hervé Bléjean, has said. The training is being conducted "in full coordination" with EU partners. The purpose of these trainings is to increase the military potential of the Ukrainian Army.

Earlier, it was reported that as part of the spring counterattack, Ukrainian tank crews completed training in operating British Challenger 2 tanks in the UK and returned back to Ukraine. Also, the training of the Ukrainian military in the use of Leopard tanks in Germany and Spain has come to an end.

🇺🇦☠ About Challenger 2 tanks in the Zaporozhye direction

The Challenger 2 tanks are being supplied to the Zaporozhye direction and the Russian forces are ready to counteract them if the British equipment appears in the AFU units directly on the line of contact. This was reported to TASS by Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the "We are with Russia" movement.

"We are expecting Challenger tanks in the Zaporozhye direction, I will say more, they are already there. Of course, the AFU will use them in the offensive. The army is ready for this, it knows how to burn them.

Earlier I published photos of these tanks without dynamic protection, now they already have it," Rogov said.

According to him, there is now a relative lull on the line of contact. "There are artillery duels going on, probing the front line, that is, where we answer them and how fast we do it. Regarding the activation of the enemy's actions - it is not there yet.

But if we are not talking about reconnaissance, this activation will begin at the last moment, when the offensive will be full-scale, then both armored vehicles and infantry, everything will be thrown into the attack to the maximum.

This is a foul of Zelensky's last hope, who is forced to attack not only and not so much by the U.S., but by other Western countries," Rogov stressed.

On April 4, Rogov told TASS that the Ukrainian Armed Forces might begin active operations in the coming days in the form of reconnaissance battles or offensive attempts at the line of contact in Zaporizhzhia Region, near the town of Orekhov, where personnel and equipment continue to arrive.

According to his assessment, in the event of an offensive, AFU units will avoid fighting in the cities and break through to the Sea of Azov east of Melitopol to cut the land corridor to Crimea due to their lack of strength.

On March 27, Rogov told TASS that the AFU had already concentrated up to 75,000 troops in the Zaporizhzhya direction after an attempted offensive on March 23, which was thwarted by Russian forces that killed up to 400 fighters.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦🔎 "Road of Life" for Ukrainian Formations in #Bakhmut (#Artyomovsk)⚡️

🎬 The other day a video appeared in the Ukrainian segment of Telegram from a BMP-2 of one of the AFU units in #Bakhmut. In the footage, a crew member of the infantry fighting vehicle filmed movement somewhere in the outskirts of the city.

Our GEOINT team was able to determine the exact location: BMP-2 is moving along an unpaved road from #Khromovo in the direction of #Krasnoye. The video cuts off at the approach to the Bakhmut Wholesale Plant Nursery.

This is just a small slice of the path that the AFU formations make every day trying to get into or out of #Bakhmut. All entrances are shot through by artillery, making attempts to pass deadly.

While driving along the roadside one can see three destroyed Turkish-made MRAP Kirpi mine-protected wheeled vehicles, donated by the Erdogan government to the AFU back in January this year, as well as two civilian vehicles.

However, this is one of the few remaining accesses through which logistics to #Bakhmut are possible. As long as the AFU defends the town, these routes will be used despite the risks. And the so called "road of life" could easily become a one-way road.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.

◽️In Kupyansk direction, aviation and artillery of the Zapad Group of Forces have engaged the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine close to Sinkova and Kislovka (Kharkov region).

💥During the day, up to 30 Ukrainian servicemen, two motor vehicles, and one D-30 howitzers have been neutralised.

◽️In Krasny Liman direction, the ground-attack aircraft, artillery, and units of the Tsentr Group of Forces have inflicted a fire damage on enemy manpower and military hardware close to Terny (Donetsk People's Republic).

💥Over 50 Ukrainian troops, two armoured fighting vehicles, one pick-up truck, one Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, and one D-30 howitzer were eliminated.

◽️In Donetsk direction, the Yug Group of Forces and artillery have eliminated up to 260 Ukrainian troops, three tanks, one infantry fighting vehicle, three armoured fighting vehicles, eight motor vehicles, one Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, Msta-B and D-20 howitzers.

◽️In South Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, aviation and artillery of the Vostok Group of Forces inflicted a fire damage on the AFU units close to Ugledar and Novomikhaylovka (Donetsk People's Republic).
The enemy's losses have amounted to over 20 Ukrainian troops, two pick-up trucks, and one D-20 howitzer in this direction during the day.

◽️In Kherson direction, more than 14 Ukrainian servicemen, two motor vehicles, two Gvozdika self-propelled artillery guns, and one Akatsiya self-propelled gun have been eliminated during the day.

💥Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralised 86 AFU artillery units at their firing positions, enemy manpower and hardware in 102 areas.

💥A command and observation post of the 126th Territorial Defence Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been obliterated close to Novoberislav (Kherson region).

💥Two ammunition depots of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been wiped out near Ivanovka (Donetsk People's Republic) and Novolyubovka (Lugansk People's Republic).

💥Russian air defence forces have intercepted two HIMARS MLRS shells during the day.

💥Also, 11 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were obliterated in the areas of Olginka, Privolnoye (Donetsk People's Republic), Karmazinkovka, Novokrasnyanka (Lugansk People's Republic), and Removka (Zaporozhye region).

🔹In #Bakhmut, the Wagner PMC assault squads took control of the Metallurg stadium and also advanced significantly towards the police station, moving from the southeast and east, with fighting right on the approaches to the building.

▪️ On the northern outskirts, the Wagnerians have liberated several buildings on Zelenaya Street near Rose Alley. To the south, the assault squads were able to gain a foothold north of Kowalska Street along the railway line.

▪️ Russian units successfully broke through the AFU defences in the centre, cutting into the AFU positions near the railway station and bus station. Should they gain a foothold in this area and liberate the quarter, the AFU staging areas to the south near the Avangard stadium and to the north will be threatened by a flanking strike.

🔹The Ukrainian Formations are now trying to counterattack in various areas, holding back the PMC units. The 14th Separate Assault "Krasnokalinskaya" Brigade of the National Guard and the "Kiev" Police Patrol Service Regiment of the Ukrainian Special Forces have been redeployed to the western outskirts of #Bakhmut.

▪️ In addition, the 24th Separate Battalion "Aidar" of the 53rd Mechanized Brigade has been sent from the vicinity of #Stupochki to the southern and southwestern outskirts to hold the T0504 road to #Konstantinovka along Chaykovsky and Korsunsky streets.
