💬 On April 4, 2023, it was officially declared that all the legal procedures related to Finland becoming a NATO member were completed.

As we have warned on multiple occasions, the Russian Federation will have to respond with military-technical, as well as other measures in order to address national security threats arising from Finland joining NATO.

Specific decisions regarding the build-up of defence capabilities along Russia’s northwestern borders will depend on the specific terms on which Finland joins NATO, including the deployment of NATO’s military infrastructure and offensive weapons on its territory.

☝️ The line of contact between NATO and the Russian Federation’s border has more than doubled. This constitutes a major shift for Northern Europe, which used to be one of the most stable regions in the world. The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation has made another step to move closer to the territory of Russia.

By joining NATO, Finland has given up on its unique identity and lost its independence, which for decades gave it a special status in international affairs. Helsinki’s policy of military non-alignment has long served its national interests and was a major confidence-building factor in the Baltic region and across the European continent. But now all this has become a thing of the past.

Finland became a minor NATO member without the possibility to influence any decisions. It has lost its ability to have a say in international affairs.

History will tell whether Finland needed to take this ill-conceived step, undertaken by the country’s government without taking into consideration what the people think about it by holding a referendum and carefully examining the consequences of NATO membership. We strongly believe that this is the case.

❗️ Finland’s accession to NATO will have a negative effect on the bilateral relations between Russia and Finland.

🔹In the #Zaporozhye Direction, the RF Armed Forces, after massive artillery and air strikes, attacked near #Gulyaypole from the direction of #Dorozhnyanka and managed to advance along the road to the city.
💥 Under fire were AFU positions in #Kamenskoye, #Novodanilovka, Malaya Tokmachka, #Belogorye, #Charivnoye and #Olgovskoye. (Fig. 1)

🔹On the #Donetsk Front, the AFU counterattacked near #Pobeda and managed to retake previously lost positions.
➖ Russian forces, supported by artillery, conducted an assault in the western part of #Maryinka, on the outskirts of #Krasnogorovka, and near #Pervomayskoye. There is progress in the area of the last mentioned settlement.
➖ After heavy shelling, the Russian Armed Forces continued their offensive on #Severnoye.
➖ The #Avdeyevka fortification was attacked by Russian forces from the southwest. Artillery and aviation operated on the city itself. The front line did not change in these areas.
➖ The Russian army's ground attack near #Keramik was also unsuccessful.
💥 Ukrainian army positions in #Novomikhaylovka, #Georgiyevka, #Netaylovo, Nyu-York (#Novgorodskoye), #Zheleznoye and #Toretsk came under fire.
💥 The Ukrainian army shelled #Donetsk and #Panteleymonovka. (Figure 2)

🔹Southwest of #Bakhmut, the Wagner PMC, supported by artillery, again conducted offensives in the direction of #Ivanovskoye (#Krasnoye). There was no progress.
➖ And in the city itself, the "orchestrators", after massive artillery and air strikes from the south, pushed through the defences of the Ukrainian garrison in the central and eastern part of the city.
➖ They did not achieve significant success in the northern neighbourhoods.
➖ Supported by artillery, the "musicians" resumed their assault on Orekhovo-Vasilievka. But without any result.
💥 The RF Armed Forces shelled Aleksandro-Shultino, Chasov Yar, #Novomarkovo, #Bogdanovka, #Vasyukovka, #Razdolovka, #Zvanovka, #Veseloye and #Spornoye. (Fig. 3)

🔹On the #Lugansk Direction, the RF Armed Forces from the direction of #Shipilovka tried to advance in the #Serebryanskoye forestry and near #Torskoye.
➖ Supported by artillery, they attacked near #Terny, #Nevskoye and #Makeyevka. They achieved no success. (Fig. 4)

Initially the task was different - to cover the evacuation of our wounded and suppress enemy fire.

Withstanding the hit of an antitank grenade, the Separate Assault Battalion "Ural" (Central Military District) tank methodically destroyed almost all the structure and personnel of the enemy.

A masterful job by the tank commander and the "Kashchey" Armoured Group. And this for the umpteenth time.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.

💥 In Kupyansk direction, Operational-Tactical and Army aviation and artillery of the Zapad Group of Forces inflicted a fire damage on the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) close to Gryanikovka, Timkovka (Kharkov region), and Stelmakhovka (Lugansk People's Republic). Also during the day, actions of five Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups were foiled close to Novoselovskoye, Rozovka, Artyomovka (Lugansk People's Republic), and Masyutovka and Pershotravnevoye (Kharkov region).

💥 More than 40 Ukrainian servicemen, two armoured fighting vehicles, and two pick-up trucks have been eliminated in this area during the day.

◽️ In Krasny Liman direction, Russian artillery and heavy flamethrower systems of the Tsentr Group of Forces thwarted a counter-attack of the enemy close to Seversk (Donetsk People's Republic), and also hit units of the AFU close to Nevskoye and Chervonaya Dibrova (Lugansk People's Republic).

💥 Over 80 Ukrainian troops, two armoured fighting vehicles, two motor vehicles, and one D-30 howitzer were destroyed.

◽️ In Donetsk direction, the Yug Group of Forces, Operational-Tactical Aviation, and artillery have eliminated up to two armoured personnel carriers, one tank, four armoured fighting vehicles, two motor vehicles, and D-30 howitzer over the past 24 hours.

💥 In these directions, the enemy has lost up to 410 Ukrainian troops and mercenaries during the day.

◽️ In South Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, aviation and artillery of the Vostok Group of Forces inflicted a fire damage on the AFU units close to Nikolskoye and Novopol (Donetsk People's Republic). Also during the day, actions of three Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups were foiled close to Vladimirovka, Mirnoye, and Nikolskoye.

◽️ During the day in these directions, the enemy lost up to 30 Ukrainian troops, one armoured vehicle, two pick-up trucks, and two ammunition depots of AFU units in near Novomikhaylovka (Donetsk People's Republic) and Gulyaypole (Zaporozhye region).

💥 In Kherson direction, up to 20 Ukrainian troops, two motor vehicles, and one Akatsiya self-propelled howitzer have been destroyed over the past 24 hours.

💥 Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Group of Forces have engaged 89 AFU artillery units at their fire positions, manpower, and military hardware in 112 areas during the day. The command and observation posts of the 110th Mechanised Brigade and the 95th Air Assault Brigade of the AFU were hit in the areas of Lastochkino and Novomikhaylovka (Donetsk People's Republic).

✈️ Fighter aviation of Russian Aerospace Forces has downed one MiG-29 airplane of Ukrainian Air Force near Selidovo (Donetsk People's Republic).

💥 Air defence forces shot down 13 HIMARS MLRS shells and one HARM anti-radiation missile during the day. Russian air defence means have intercepted 22 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles near Novosyolovka, Petrovskoye, Veseloye (Donetsk People's Republic), Mirnoye, Shcherbaki, Chubarevka (Zaporozhye region), Velikaya Lepetikha (Kherson region), Velykyy Vyselok (Kharkov region), Kremennaya, Varvarovka, and Kudryashovka (Lugansk People's Republic).

There he declared that under Joe Biden's administration, the US is "going to hell." Thus, "unprecedented interference in elections" is now taking place in America, the former president believes.

Politico: China is not ready for diplomatic contacts with Washington

The US is asking for a new date for Secretary of State Anthony Blinken's visit to Beijing, and also wants to set up a telephone conversation between Joe Biden and Xi Jinping. China has so far rejected the effort. The publication writes that the readiness of the PRC to interact may depend on how events unfold after the meeting of Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen with Speaker of the House of Representatives Kevin McCarthy, which will be held on Wednesday in California.
