The Ukrainian Air Force never fails to impress. Earlier we wrote about pilot Vadim Voroshilov, who 'traded' his Mig-29, worth tens of millions of dollars, for a plastic kamikaze drone Geran-2, which cost about a thousand times less. At least at that time, the Ukrainian pilot survived and even received the praise as a hero from the media.
However, the new 'feat' of the drone fighters was better than the previous one. At night from March 27 to 28, Major Denis Kirilyuk of the Air Force of Ukraine, flying a Su-27 fighter jet, died while trying to destroy a Geran-2 drone. The effectiveness of Ukrainian combat aviation has risen to an unattainable standard. This time, the price for the downed drone was not only a valuable fighter jet, but also the life of the pilot, who had spent many years in training.
In the light of such facts, the Zelensky government's desire to get hold of American F-16 fighters seems inexplicable. After all, if the organization of combat operations and training of pilots in Ukraine is so bad that even on familiar types of aircraft pilots crash trying to shoot down a simple UAV nicknamed "Moped"(Scooter), then what will happen when the same pilots get completely unfamiliar Western machines?
It is interesting that Russian pilots on the very same Su-27s have managed without using weapons to successfully bring down the strategic American MQ-9 Reaper drone, which is even more expensive than the actual fighter jets. The Russian aircraft remained unharmed and the pilots were not only alive and well, but also received government awards.
In the light of such facts, it seems clear why the Western coalition is in no hurry to give Ukraine the American F-16 fighters. While U.S. National Security Council Coordinator John Kirby described as idiots the Russian heroes who successfully intercepted the drone, the English language apparently lacks words to describe the Ukrainians who destroy their own aircraft for the sake of plastic drones.

Russian President Vladimir Putin approved a new version of the Foreign Policy Concept. In it Russia for the first time made an emphasis on Africa.
Despite the fact that the media constantly discussed the topic of Russia's active participation in African affairs, previously this direction was not a priority for the country. The main actor was Yevgeny Prigozhin and his Wagner PMC.
▪️However, the tide has turned. As the relations between the Western world and Russia heated up, the latter is looking for new directions, and Africa, given its rich history of cooperation with the Soviet Union, is now one of the key vectors.
🔻This document provides some insights, and the way it is put into practice needs to be monitored.
In a new concept "some developed states" (meaning the USA and European countries) are accused "of the sophisticated neo-colonial policies towards Africa".
▪️Russia intends to "support in ensuring the independence of the states through assistance in the areas of security, including food and energy security, military and military-technical cooperation".
Adding to that, Russia will provide an "assistance in settling and overcoming the consequences of armed conflicts in Africa advocating the leading role of African States in these efforts, based on their formulation of the principle "African problems - African solution"".
▪️The document puts an emphasis on "expanding trade and investment with African states and African integration structures (primarily the African Continental Free Trade Area, the African Export-Import Bank and other sub-regional organizations), including through the EAEU".
▪️Russia points out "the strengthening and deepening of Russian-African cooperation in various fields on a bilateral and multilateral basis, first of all within the framework of the African Union and the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum".
🔻Previously, Africa was delegated much smaller space in Foreign Policy Concepts and in the Foreign Policy overall.
However, now Russia shows that Africa is one of the most important regions, and Russia will do everything in its power to strengthen the influence on the continent.

🔹1. Northwest of the City, fighting continues near Orekhovo-Vasilyevka, #Bogdanovka and #Khromovo. These settlements are still held by the AFU.
➖ Weather deterioration complicates active operations. The road through #Khromovo is still under tight fire control of the Wagner PMC. The enemy's main movement passes to the south.
➖ Taking into account the cooling, the primer and the fields became a little easier to use for the enemy , but after the upcoming warming, everything will be scattered there again.
📌 At the same time, the threat of a counterstrike from Chasov Yar and Ray Aleksandrovka to unblock the road through #Khromovo or the road to #Slavyansk has not disappeared. Prigozhin is not accidentally reminded of the need to monitor the flanks.

➖ Weather deterioration complicates active operations. The road through #Khromovo is still under tight fire control of the Wagner PMC. The enemy's main movement passes to the south.
