Our forces have so far failed to make any serious inroads into #Krasnoye, and the enemy, in turn, has failed to push our forces away from #Krasnoye to unblock the road. These attempts are expected to intensify in the near future.

The pace of progress is slow due to the fierce resistance of the enemy, as Prigozhin pointed out again today.
🔹5. The Enemy's Grouping in #Artyomovsk reaches 15,000 men, and the total number in the #Artyomovsk direction is 75-80,000 men. And due to the transferred reserves, its numbers are increasing, including to the detriment of operations in the #Kupyansk, #Svatovo and #Krasny #Liman directions.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Analysis of the RT report about the battles in Ugledar
Recently, the military commander of the RT channel Igor Zhdanov @zhdanovrt published an article about the battles in Ugledar. His report demonstrates well the difficulties that the RF Armed Forces sometimes encounter during assault operations.
▪️The city, built up with high-rise buildings, is located on a hill almost in an open field. Therefore, from the upper floors of buildings, the surroundings are easily visible.
The problem is especially relevant in winter, when the fields are without foliage. Because of this, all objects contrasting with the environment are even more clearly visible in the thermal imager.
▪️The shelters equipped in the city center cover the neighbouring high-rise buildings, so it is extremely difficult to hit them. There is a clear example in the frame with a pair of BMP-2s: they stand behind the building on the north side in the front and are protected from fire by the Russian Armed Forces.
▪️The video often flashes shots of anti-tank guided missiles firing at observation posts and positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the upper floors of skyscrapers. In fact , any window easily becomes a firing point, where the enemy can place a machine gunner, a sniper pair or an ATGM operator.
Under these conditions, the assault on Ugledar is a rather difficult task. A frontal attack is fraught with huge losses, even if all city skyscrapers are destroyed.
The only option remains to capture the city and cut all supply lines, followed by a simultaneous strike from several sides.

It was this factor that repeatedly became the cause of the fire damage of our advancing columns of armored vehicles, the footage of which spread over the net.
With regards to the conclusion regarding the most effective tactics on Ugledar, certainly true. It would seem that there is nothing more logical than to surround a city that is difficult to storm, or at least cut off supply routes.
But there are two problems.
Firstly, the encirclement of the city is associated with the capture of the settlement by the same storm Pobeda (northeast of Ugladar, south of Marinka), which did not work this month, as well as the Vremyevka - Velikaya Novoselka defense center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine located much to the west of Ugledar and all the villages along the front. Again a difficult assault, but already on a broad front. But this will allow you to take Ugledar into the "bag", as was done with Artyomovsk (Bakhmut).
Secondly, the main difficulty, as usually happens, lies in ourselves. An offensive on a broad front requires not only talented commanders, but also well-trained troops. Partial mobilization is a good thing, but 100 uncoordinated soldiers are not yet a motorized rifle company. And modern warfare, and even more so offensive actions of this magnitude, require the involvement of heterogeneous military units.
This requires consistency, coherence, training. Otherwise, again - assaults on a narrow section of the front.
Over time, gaining experience by the troops is inevitable, we hope that the experience of front-line soldiers and commanders is already being studied at the training grounds.

Bakhmut. Night.
General situation: unstable and difficult. Constant swings in one direction or the other. Orcs will capture something - we repel it, mostly now. Or we don't, because there are more than enough enemies.
The north - the directions of Bohdanivka, Khromove, Minkivka - is difficult everywhere.
Near Khromove, we managed to move the enemy a bit further away from the road. But, of course, not for long. The occupants will recover, add reserves and run to attack again.
Southwestern outskirts - the situation is already quite critical. The area around the intersection of Tchaikovsky and Korsunska streets, including the adjacent buildings, is a mess. There are hellish battles.
The line between Razdolivka and Vesele remains unchanged.
In the area of Ivanivske, the occupants have been storming our positions non-stop for three days now with large forces. They are having successes, albeit minor ones.
The enemy has now sent all possible forces to bypass Ivanivske and Khromove in order to meet two groups on the western outskirts of Bakhmut and surround our garrison.
Our soldiers are doing everything possible to prevent this from happening. During the 3 weeks of fighting, the enemy had little success in those areas, exchanging 100 meters of land for 1000 (or even more) of their corpses.

◾United Nations deputy spokesperson Farahn Haq said the use of British depleted uranium ammunition by the Ukrainian Army is a concern and pointed the finger at the country providing it, Britain.
Of course he did not mention Ukraine or Britain at any point, and they sent the deputy to say all this, very diplomatic, still we can't expect the Ukrainian reaction very soon. Maybe Mr. Haq will be the latest member of the Ukrainian kill list "Mirovorets".

Kupol partially admitted his guilt and said that he "didn't want to harm the Armed Forces", and journalists printed "half-truths" and lied about his words. His words are "this is my personal position, not VAT". Viktor Lyulchak, for his part, rather boldly hinted that "we are not abandoning our own," and Kupol "in the future may become either the chief of staff, or the deputy commander of the brigade, or even the commander of the brigade."
All this has one big plus - the parties have reconciled. During the war, this is the main thing - all quarrels are in the hands of our enemies.

Putin allegedly has no immediate plans to bring peace to Ukraine, so the West needs to prepare for long-term deliveries of "lethal weapons," NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told The Guardian. According to him, the Russian President is allegedly waging a "war of attrition," and therefore the secretary general insists on increasing defense spending to at least 2 percent of GDP.
"This is a war of attrition. It's about industrial capacity to strengthen our support [supplies]," Stoltenberg said.
At the same time, NATO and the IMF are actively pouring money into Ukraine's planned spring offensive. For example, the Fund decided to give Ukraine a $15.6 billion loan, which nevertheless will never be repaid, and the amount of aid from Western "partners" amounted to $24.7 billion last month alone.

Europe’s push to make arms for Ukraine has been hobbled by a shortage of explosives, which industry insiders fear will delay efforts to boost shell production by as much as three years.
Scarce supplies of gunpowder, plastic explosives and TNT have left industry unable to rapidly meet expected EU orders for Ukraine, regardless of how much money is thrown at the problem, according to officials and producers.
