The shot came from the cameraman's side, slightly to the right of the shooting, which means they were from their own side. It means that they were friendly. You can also hear Ukrainian songs in the background.
But the video appeared on Ukrainian channels. There are no yellow armbands as they were taken off before the surrender as an annoying trigger to emphasize a white flag.
They say in the comms the Khokhols removed the staging for their own people not to surrender. Possibly, but silly as their own:
1. They can kill radical patriots and officers before surrendering.
2. This video will do much more damage to the image of Ukraine and the AFU.
It is not about the bounce of the bullet. There is field grass and soft soil under it, there will be no bounce.
As for accuracy. The distance was 70 meters, I can see quite a logical hit if the Nazi is not short-sighted.

🔹 North of #Avdeyevka, Russian units attacked the AFU stronghold in #Krasnogorovka. As a result of intensive fighting, the RF Armed Forces entered the village and gained a foothold on its eastern outskirts. Clashes are now continuing in the central and western districts.
▪️ Despite the existing information about full control over #Krasnogorovka, the village has not yet been liberated and mopping up is under way. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian command has redeployed units of the Ukrainian National Guard's 1st Presidential Brigade to the area of the village to assist the defending forces.
▪️ Furthermore, the fighters of the RF Armed Forces, after establishing control over #Vesyoloye, advanced southwards along the dam and came close to the village of #Kamenka to the south of #Novoselyovka II.
📌 Tactical Success in this area and potential control of #Krasnogorovka with #Kamenka will allow the #Avdeyevka fortification to be physically encircled and further advance towards the railway line near #Petrovsky.
The supply of the AFU grouping on the outskirts of #Donetsk passes through the railway lines. Cutting this logistics hub will significantly reduce the Ukrainian formations' capabilities in #Avdeyevka and create the prospect of pushing the AFU out of the settlement.

The previous Military Chronicles and Rybar's joint analysis of the Ukrainian military personnel training quality at Western countries training grounds generated a real discussion among the channels.
▪️ @brussinf, a military correspondent present at the Bakhmut front lines, notes that the ways of using the Ukrainian units on the battlefield have changed. The enemy itself remains the same, except for the Ukrainian Special Operation Forces. According to @arbat, it all comes down to reinforcing weakly organized combat units with special forces groups, which is changing the battlefield layout.
▪️ @dva_majors write that the general politicization of the project will soon result in Ukrainian servicemen becoming instructors for NATO countries, as the latter ones still teach old information and skills. But they do train the AFU to use Western control and communication systems.

❗️ In response, we’d like to add some comments to what our colleagues have said. Despite the problems connected to the training, there are some other non-obvious nuances.
🔻The arms shortage
The AFU have plenty of different types of weapons both the USSR- and NATO-made. The training in the EU countries is focuses on operating certain types of weapons, while the info about other arms is only given theoretically.
The instruction of the mobilized is even poorer: they are only supplied with equipment or weapons present on a particular training ground (e.g., in the U.K. they learn to use NLAWs, in France - MILAN anti-tank systems). When they arrive at the front line, they face either a shortage of Western weapons or a complete lack of them.
🔻What "Western-style" warfare looks like in practice
The Ukrainian military is trained only at the battalion level or even lower. The idea of several brigades involvement in combat operations is deliberately ignored because of the NATO combat concept and lack of time to train so many people.
For sure, on the front lines the AFU command can be seen to be trying to apply units according to NATO's standards. But in reality there are just scattered units failing to interact and suffering losses because of organizational chaos.
The key training point is the assault operation: the use of light equipment and a quick breakthrough. The Russian Armed Forces have already adapted to it, and now such strikes are no longer effective.
An assault or relatively numerous reconnaissance actions are organized once every few weeks after a long preparation and accumulation of equipment, Often it doesn't meet the battlefield conditions requirements and can only be effective on paved roads or light off-road conditions.
In addition, the psychological factor should not be discarded: no one is preparing the AFU for real combat operations. Facing their first shelling or combat, soldiers or officers freeze.
🔻 What will these mistakes lead to?
Mostly counter-terrorist tactics and the shortage of heavy equipment make it impossible to fully use the Ukrainian army units both in defense and offensive. The AFU statements on the three army corps training are debatable: there is no reason to think that they will be used differently.
To train at least three brigades, the considerable amount of time is required. This task is unlikely to be accomplished before the end of 2023. And even if Ukrainian motorized riflemen and tank crews are taught to operate Bradleys or Leopards, it won’t solve the problem of mass inability to adapt to combat conditions after training abroad.
The only reason for the West to force the AFU training is to create numerical superiority at the front – all these soldiers will be extremely needed in combat operations in the spring and summer of 2023.

▪️ Wagner PMC assault squads broke through Ukrainian defences across fields south of Orekhovo-Vasilyevka after their first unsuccessful attempt to attack AFU positions near the village.
▪️ As Military Chronicles sources @milchronicles suggest, the settlement itself consists of four well-fortified strongholds. At the moment, a confident control over two has been established, the cleanup is underway on the third and fourth. Near the village cemetery, 30 people from the 30th Mechanized Brigade and 116th Territorial Defence Brigade of the AFU Have been killed.
▪️ The AFU is trying unsuccessfully to retake the lost territories. Ukrainian formations are suffering losses due to difficulties in evacuating the wounded, a lack of reconnaissance and logistics support and insufficient fire support. In addition, movement in this direction creates the prospect of a further offensive in two directions. At the moment, a confident control over two has been established, the cleanup is underway on the third and fourth. Near the village cemetery, 30 people from the 30th Mechanized Brigade and 116th Territorial Defence Brigade of the AFU Have been killed.

🔹1. Our Main Efforts in recent days have been focused on advancing north of #Artyomovsk.
➖ Fighting is taking place in the direction of #Khromovo. Our troops have not yet entered the village itself.
All the previous reports that the enemy is retreating from there are untrue. The enemy, realizing the value of #Khromovo, has organized a very dense defence in this area.
➖ To the north of #Khromovo, very serious fighting is taking place. Our assault groups occupy one landing after another, but each one takes time and effort to dislodge the enemy, advance towards the settlement and fight to capture it.
📌 The loss of #Khromovo would mean the closure of the #Artyomovsk cauldron, so the enemy is trying to cling to it with all its might.

🔹1. Our Main Efforts in recent days have been focused on advancing north of #Artyomovsk.
➖ Fighting is taking place in the direction of #Khromovo. Our troops have not yet entered the village itself.
All the previous reports that the enemy is retreating from there are untrue. The enemy, realizing the value of #Khromovo, has organized a very dense defence in this area.
➖ To the north of #Khromovo, very serious fighting is taking place. Our assault groups occupy one landing after another, but each one takes time and effort to dislodge the enemy, advance towards the settlement and fight to capture it.
📌 The loss of #Khromovo would mean the closure of the #Artyomovsk cauldron, so the enemy is trying to cling to it with all its might.

The initiative at the front remained in the hands of the Russian Armed Forces, the main events took place in the Artyomovsk (Bakhmut) region. The enemy is preparing reserves for a counteroffensive in several directions.
In particular, in Artyomovsk, PMC "Wagner" crossed the river Bakhmutka and make their way to the center of Artyomovsk. From the north, our assault units entered the territory of the Artyomovsky Metal Processing Plant (AZOM). The plant has a vast territory and underground communications. This week, they reported taking control of the settlement. Dubovo-Vasilyevka northwest of Artyomovsk (Bakhmut). Today, Prigozhin denied the transition of the settlement. Orekhovo-Vasilyevka to the control of Wagner PMC.
The enemy here is trying to form reserves, but they are hit by artillery. However, in public, Kiev does not give up the idea of counterattacking in Artyomovsky.
On the section from Kupyansk to Kremennaya , fighting is going on, the advance is slow, the personnel are being protected. Our familiar military correspondents report the presence of trained Special Forces groups and intelligent command in the T-90 direction. The Maryinsky sector of the front is characterized by the actions of the Russian Armed Forces in Maryinka itself and in the south-west, in the area of the settlement Pobeda. There is a plan to go out on the road to Ugledar. The enemy uses powerful EW installations.
At the end of the week, the Ugledar sector became more active, but there were no changes in the front. Artillery shelling, manoeuvring with fire from rocket-propelled artillery brigades and counter-battery fighting continues.
From the Zaporozhye sector, information is being received about the concentration of several tens of thousands of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers behind enemy lines, whose task will supposedly be to be thrown at Melitopol.
In the Kherson region, fighting continues on the islands, the enemy is conducting reconnaissance, a high concentration of artillery gunners from among the enemy agents in our rear.
Massive strikes were delivered deep into the enemy territory, energy infrastructure facilities were hit.
Problems persist on the information front, in an attempt to raise their reputation, unknown officials coined the phrase "act of retaliation" as a description of regular strikes on enemy rear lines.
Logistics issues are still acute. From a number of directions it is reported that the fighters of the Russian Armed Forces decided to change into “authorized camouflage”, now the servicemen are asking volunteers to supply camouflage of the established colours. For various reasons, uniforms from the Ministry of Defence of front-line soldiers are not always satisfactory in terms of quality.
In general, the winter campaign is over. Intensification of operations at the front is expected after the end of the spring thaw. Probably, the Russian Army at the beginning of the spring-summer campaign will build its up defence strategy.
