One of the targets of overnight strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure was Kiev's CHPP-5. It had previously 👉 been hit by fire, but the CHPP continued to operate.

Judging by footage of the fire, the engine room and boiler room, where key equipment for the facility's operation is located, were hit. There are nine boilers and four turbines at CHPP-5: the removal of even some of them would significantly reduce the facility's power generation.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦💡Massive Missile Strike by RF Armed Forces on Infrastructure in #Ukraine on 9 Mar 2023 - what is known by 14:00⚡️

💥 Russian forces launched massive missile strikes against critical infrastructure in #Ukraine overnight.

The list of assets used in the attack was significantly expanded. The RF Armed Forces used kamikaze drones, cruise missiles, and even the Kinzhal hypersonic system.

🔹What is known by this Hour?

▪️ #Kiev: The engine room and boiler room of CHPP-5, a major generating station in the capital, have been hit. Combined with other hits, there have been significant power and communication problems in the city.

The facility has previously been targeted by Russian forces more than once, but the plant continued to operate. That said, if the RF Armed Forces manage to take out at least a few turbines and boilers, power generation will be significantly reduced.

▪️ #Kharkov: at least fifteen explosions were heard in the city. According to some reports, the operation of CHPP-3 and CHPP-5 was shut down. Local residents reported power and water supply outages, communication and heating problems.

▪️ #Dnepropetrovsk region: a series of explosions were heard in Pavlograd, Krivoy Rog and Dnipropetrovsk districts. According to preliminary reports, the targets of the attacks in the Krivoy Rog district could be the Krivoy Rog thermal power plant and the Yuzhnaya 330 substation.

▪️ #Zhytomyr region: the Zhytomyr 330 substation was allegedly hit: the regional centre was partially de-energised, about 150,000 subscribers were left without power.

▪️ #Volyn region: citizens heard powerful explosions in #Lutsk and #Kivertsy. The blow was so powerful that some residents of #Kivertsy reported that their houses were shaking.

There is an oil depot, an airfield and the Lutsk-North 330 substation, as well as military facilities in the #Lutsk area.

▪️ #Vinnitsa region: powerful explosions were heard in the region. Facilities at the Ladyzhyn TPP may have been hit again.

▪️ #Kirovograd region: local residents reported sounds of explosions in Kropivnitsky district and emergency power outages. The target of the attack in the region could have been the Ukrainka 330 substation.

▪️ #Odessa region: local authorities said a power facility in the region was hit. Among the possible targets of the strikes are the Adzhalyk 330 substation, Novoodesskaya 330 substation, Usatovo 330 substation and Tsentrolit 220 substation.

▪️ #Sumy region: one of the buildings of the Chemical Products Research Institute in Shostka was probably hit.

▪️ After the strikes, Ukrainian Railways reported train delays of up to an hour due to power supply problems. Several trains are delayed by almost four hours.

📌 Today's Wave of strikes was the most massive this year. Among the known targets are critical to the functioning of power plants are engine rooms.

The precise hits caused significant power supply problems in several regions of the country, which, however, were restored within hours.

Regarding the withdrawal from the western bank of Bakhmutka. 💥High-precision, long-range air-, sea- and land-based weapons, including the Kinzhal hypersonic missile system, hit key elements of Ukraine's military infrastructure, defence and industrial complex enterprises, as well as energy facilities that support them.

💥The purpose of the strike has been achieved. All the assigned targets have been neutralised. The strike destroyed unmanned drone strike sites, disrupted the movement of reserves and railway transport of foreign weapons, and impeded military repair and ammunition production facilities.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.

◽️In Kupyansk direction, air strikes and artillery fire of the 'Zapad' Group of Forces hit enemy units in the settlements of Gryanikovka, Pershetravnevoye, Olshana (Kharkov region), and Stelmakhovka (Lugansk People's Republic).

💥More than 50 Ukrainian servicemen, two combat vehicles, five armoured fighting vehicles, and two motor vehicles have been eliminated in this direction during the day.

◽️In Krasny Liman direction, active actions by units of the 'Tsentr' Group of Forces and artillery fire inflicted damage on the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the settlements of Nevskoye, Chervonaya Dibrova (Lugansk People's Republic) and Torskoye (Donetsk People's Republic).

💥Total enemy losses in this direction amounted to 115 Ukrainian servicemen, three armoured fighting vehicles, two pick-up trucks, and a Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer.

◽️In Donetsk direction, the 'Yug' Group of Forces and artillery fire have destroyed over 135 Ukrainian servicemen, three armoured fighting vehicles, three pick-up trucks, four motor vehicles, two D-20 howitzers, a Msta-B howitzer, and one D-1 howitzer close to Kransnoye, Semenovka, and Pervomayskoye during the day.

◽️In South Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, artillery of the 'Vostok' Group of Forces engaged the AFU units close to Ugledar and Prechistovka (Donetsk People's Republic).

💥The total losses of the enemy in these directions during the day amounted to 65 Ukrainian servicemen, two armoured fighting vehicles, two pick-up trucks, and a D-20 howitzer.

◽️In Kherson direction, four armoured fighting vehicles, five motor vehicles, and two D-30 howitzers were destroyed in complex fire attack.

💥Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralised 78 AFU artillery units at their firing positions, enemy manpower and hardware in 102 areas during the day.

💥An ammunition depot of the 110th Mechanised Brigade of the AFU has been hit close to Vozdvizhenka (Donetsk People's Republic).

💥A US-made AN/TPQ-50 counterbattery radar station was destroyed near Chasov Yar (Donetsk People's Republic).

💥A MiG-29 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force has been shot down by Russian Air Force fighter aircraft close to the village of Volnyansk (Zaporozhye region) in an aerial battle.

🔹 1. Eastern #Artyomovsk is for the most part either occupied or being mopped up by our troops. The enemy, as expected, has withdrawn to the western parts of the city, using the river, the industrial zone of the AZOM plant and residential areas in southwestern #Artyomovsk.
➖ There are no signs of a broken defence. The enemy is resisting rather orderly and fiercely, trying to maintain supply lines through the town of #Khromovo.

🔹2. The AFU Counterattacks near #Krasnoye, trying to unblock the road Chasov Yar - #Krasnoye - #Artyomovsk.
➖ Enemy forces in Chasov Yar are currently being used for counterattacks.

🔹 3. Since the Morning of 9 Mar, there have been reports of the liberation of Dubovo-Vasilyevka and increased pressure on #Bogdanovka.
➖ #Bogdanovka is one of the keys to the #Artyomovsk cauldron. If it is lost, the road through #Khromovo cannot be fully used. Then the enemy must use the field roads through the fields, which are now dilapidated, making it difficult to deliver ammunition, transport the wounded and rotate the AFU personnel in the city.

🔹 4. In #Artyomovsk City, four units of "Volkssturm", Georgian, Chechen and other mercenaries remain in the city.
➖ The AFU regular units are glimpsed there less and less frequently, which confirms the withdrawal of the best-trained enemy formations from #Artyomovsk.

📌 Foreign Formations and "Volkssturm" in the city can be sacrificed, but if successful, counterattacks will prevent the "bandwagon" from linking the southern and northern pincers around the city. In this case #Artyomovsk is assigned the role of a German Festung (fortress) from the end of World War II.

🔥 An air-raid alert has been sounded throughout the 404 since very early tonight. The retaliatory strikes have 👉 returned. The Russian army used cruise missiles, kamikaze drones as well as the hypersonic Kinzhal complex on infrastructure almost all over the country. In #Kiev, CHPP-5 was hit and the city experienced serious problems with its electricity supply. A similar situation occurred in #Kharkov and #Dnepropetrovsk regions. Explosions were also heard in #Odessa Oblast and in western #Ukraine.

⚔️ Situation on the Fronts for the past Day

🔹#Artyomovsk (#Bakhmut) Sector:

➖ Fighters of the Wagner PMC have liberated Dubovo-Vasilyevka, also ours are advancing towards #Bogdanovka.
➖ After the occupation of the eastern part of #Artyomovsk by the "orchestrators", the enemy withdrew to the western districts of the city. Heavy fighting is taking place in the southern quarters.
➖ Fighting continues in the area of #Krasnoye.

🔹#Donetsk & #SouthDonetsk Directions:

➖ The RF Armed Forces have resumed their advance towards #Novomikhaylovka.
➖ Fierce fighting continues in #Maryinka.
➖ Our forces are also advancing in the direction of #Pervomayskoye.
➖ Aircraft are active, especially in #Avdeyevka.

💥 The Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Ukrainian MiG-29 near #Volnyansk, #Zaporozhye region. Also, a Ukrainian Mi-8 was shot down near #Novogrodovka, DPR.

💥 Overnight Russian Forces launched a 👉 massive missile attack on energy infrastructure facilities in #Ukraine.

The enemy's air defences were once again powerless - targets in #Kiev, #Kharkov and #Pavlograd, as well as in #Zhytomyr, #Volynsk, #Vinnitsa, #Kirovograd, #Odessa, #Zaporozhye and #IvanoFrankovsk regions have been hit.

🔹#Kiev Region (MAP):

▪️ Russian troops hit the engine room and boiler room of TPP-5 in #Kiev. The city suffered significant power and communication problems.

🔹#Russia's Border Areas:

▪️ In the #Bryansk region, Ukrainian terrorist formations shelled the village of #Rakovka. A dwelling house and a farm building were damaged.
➖ Russian air defence forces intercept an enemy drone near the village of #Navlya with no casualties or damage.

▪️ In the #Belgorod region, the AFU terrorists struck the outskirts of #Shebekino town. Residential buildings have been hit, civilians were not harmed.

🔹#Starobelsk Direction:

▪️ There are no significant changes on the frontline. Artillery duels and position fighting continue along the line of contact.

🔹#Soledar (#Bakhmut) Direction:

▪️ Wagner PMC units are leading an offensive towards #Bogdanovka, continuing to close the encirclement ring around #Bakhmut.
➖ The enemy responds by attempting counterattacks to maintain a ground corridor out of the city.

▪️ Russian forces evacuate civilians from liberated neighbourhoods in eastern #Bakhmut. The enemy terrorists are shelling the lost areas without regard for the lives of the townspeople.

▪️ In the south of #Bakhmut, the Wagnerian assault units are engaged in the most intense fighting. At the same time, Russian artillery is targeting enemy positions at the intersection of Korsunsky and Tchaikovsky streets.

🔹#Donetsk Direction:

▪️ Units of the Russian Armed Forces continue the operation to encircle the #Avdeyevka fortified area.
➖ Russian forces expand their zone of control near the village of #Vesyoloye and fight near the #Krasnogorovka pond.
➖ South of #Avdeyevka, the RF Armed Forces, supported by artillery, are advancing towards the village of #Severnoye.

➖ In the morning, the enemy fired rockets from HIMARS rocket launchers at Avto-Express motor transport company in #Volnovakha. A man was killed and another was wounded.

🔹 #Kherson Direction on #SouthFront:

▪️ Artillery duels continue along the entire line of contact. Russian forces hit enemy concentrations in #Kherson, #Zelenovka and #Antonovka.
➖ In turn, the enemy terrorists shelled the left bank of the #Kherson region. Civilian facilities in Novaya Kakhovka, #Tavriysk and Golaya Pristan were damaged.
