⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦🔎 On the destroyed AFU Convoy at #Krasnoye⚡️
Today (7 Feb) footage of a destroyed convoy of Ukrainian equipment retreating from #Bakhmut (#Artyomovsk) has appeared on the net.
After the main bridge to Chasov Yar was destroyed, the enemy is forced to use country roads, which have become virtually impassable in the spring mud.
Trying to hide personnel and armoured vehicles in a wooded area, the convoy got stuck to the west of the village of #Krasnoye.
Coordinates:
The next morning, a passing cameraman in an APC captured the result.

It was then almost completely destroyed by howitzer and rocket artillery fire. Thanks to the thermal imaging camera on the UAV's camera, a pinpoint hit was ensured. The next morning, a passing cameraman in an APC captured the result.

⭐️About coherence in solving individual tasks while achieving the overall goals of the SMO
In one way or another, many ministries and departments of Russia participate in the SMO. Power plays a key role, of course. Tasks can be different, all are set out having good intentions to achieve the common goals.
One of the common goals is denazification - a set of measures aimed at cleansing the post-war Ukrainian society, culture, press, economy, education, jurisprudence and politics of the influence of Nazi ideology.
However, that high-profile goal has not yet been achieved. The Nazis in Ukraine raise their heads higher and higher, feel at ease and climb into politics. Don't re-educate them. Therefore, they must either go to jail or die on the battlefield as one of the most valuable resources for Kiev.
After the capture of Mariupol and the surrender of Azov, all TV channels and loud, respected announcers began to laugh out loud with the “extraction procedure” invented by Kiev. And then a respected person took the Nazis on a plane with tiramisu to exchange for Medvedchuk.
So today, Yermak from Zelensky’s office once again reported that out of the freshly exchanged, “87 are from Mariupol, 71 of them are from Azovstal.
We need to get our guys out. Exchange them for the devil himself.
The issue is that many respected people (and even leaders) discredited themselves by declaring that the Nazis had not been extradited. Then (in an effort to please the Supreme, apparently) they also tried to show Medvedchuk on all televisions, even Belarusian ones.
And here the question of coherence, subordination to a single goal is sometimes buried. An operation is seen by some as just a set of measures taken by different departments, coordinated according to the place of time and design. We have a special military operation. For now.
The question of coherence is not a question of endless coordination of formats and grammar of plans and reports. It is a matter of having a clear understanding of the goals of the SMO by all participants.
And this requires more than just abstract "denazification and demilitarization."
For example: complete and unconditional capitulation. And then we'll see.

Road to retreat from Artemovsk.
Despite declarations of bravado about holding Artemovsk to the end, some formations continue to withdraw from Artemovsk, while resistance in the city continues to prevent the collapse of organised resistance, as Prigozhin in particular points out.
There is also a build-up of enemy reserves west of Artemovsk, which, on the one hand, is interpreted as an attempt to organise more serious attacks to avoid the Artemovsk pocket and, on the other hand, as training forces to unblock counter-attacks if Wagner presses Bogdanovka and Khromovo in the coming days.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 On multinational units and the importance of the ideological component
RT channel in Russian @rt_russian published a story about the Yenisei Cossack battalion. The unit is one of the most multinational ones at the front: Russians, Armenians, Azerbaijanis, Tajiks, Uzbeks, Kazakhs, Georgians and Roma serve there.
According to the soldiers, for all their differences, there is a friendly atmosphere on the battalion. Soldiers speak openly of their confidence in their comrades-in-arms who will cover them in combat. There is no talk of any internal conflicts for cultural or religious reasons.
The video demonstrates that even in the most multinational unit it is perfectly possible to avoid friction. Of course, the authority of the commander and his deputies, as well as the level of organization, play a huge role here. But there is also the ideological component: for example, one of the Chechen fighters said: “If Russia falls, we all fall.”
Having this a seemingly obvious idea in mind, each soldier knows exactly what he is fighting for. This allows them to keep high morale and discipline, which will make it possible to avoid most of the interethnic, domestic, and other conflicts in the unit.
🔻 A year of SMO clearly illustrated the need for simple and accessible truths that would answer the question "why all this is necessary." They lie on the surface, all that is left is to bring them to people in a comprehensible way. Without this, the mobilization of society is impossible.

The New York Times is doing spy stenography again, quoting unnamed officials citing unspecified intelligence to claim that the US and Ukrainian governments were totally not to blame for the Nord Stream sabotage, but a "pro-Ukrainian group" made up of unidentified individuals, who might have been Ukrainian or Russian, and had nothing to do with any government, might possibly have been. Oh, and totally not the British.
As responses to Sy Hersh's Substack piece go, this is pretty pathetic. Yet I fully expect the "source, bro? do you have a source for that? citation needed!" crowd to just take it at face value. Because everything about this incredibly rotten-smelling story that doesn't deserve to be called journalism is aimed at preserving the Narrative: Ukraine good, Russia bad, US good, Nord Stream totally not our fault but we can't tell you whose it is, nothing to see here, move along.
We're supposed to be grateful that the GAE is now rejecting its own, clearly insane, conspiracy theory that Russia somehow blew up its own pipelines because, uh, reasons. The Times and US spies are finally admitting that it was Ukraine's interest (and Poland's — hi Radek Sikorsky!) all along. Welcome to what everyone else realized on Day One; what do you want, a cookie?
Here's the part these idiotic officials haven't thought through, however: if the NS attacks were carried out by what's essentially a non-state actor, that makes them a far worse act of terrorism, and even more deserving of an international investigation. States can be held accountable, at least in theory — these vague groups? Not so much. How convenient, indeed.

The reality is even more depressing, friends. They will continue to go missing so that the Ukrainian government can avoid paying compensation to their relatives.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 On the AFU´s possible counterattack near Bakhmut - Rybar and Military Chronicle´s analysis
The head of the Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin said that if the Russian Defense Ministry does not support the assault detachments, the situation near #Bakhmut may change drastically. According to him, the AFU is planning a counteroffensive in the #Soledar direction.
🔻Is it possible?
The situation of the Ukrainian grouping in and around Bakhmut is becoming increasingly critical. The main exits, through which an organized retreat is possible, are under full fire control of the Russian forces.
The National Guard and Territorial Defense units near the market, lower and upper parks, as well as the Tsvetmet plant, are caught in a semi-enclosure; it will be difficult for them to get out without heavy losses.
For the past few months, the AFU command has been transferring the most combat-ready units from various directions to reinforce the front near Bakhmut. However, the loss of Soledar completely undid these efforts: the Wagner PMC soldiers conducted a successful operation in the shortest possible time, encircling and destroying a large group of the enemy in the city.
After that, the initiative in the area completely passed to the Russian troops, and the AFU were forced to retreat to active defense. Even now, with huge losses, Ukrainian units continue to remain in the city.
🔻Why won't the AFU leave Bakhmut?
One of the tasks of the Wagner PMC was to pull in and defeat combat-ready enemy units. The Wagner PMC soldiers managed to do this; now in the city there are separate units of eight different brigades of the Ukrainian Army, Air Assault Forces, National Guard, and Special Operations Forces, as well as units of the Territorial Defense of Ukraine.
They are scattered forces with broken coordination, lack of communication and practically zero supply.
Some units have already returned from re-manning, like the 93rd Mechanized Brigade. However, most brigades – 53rd, 54th, 60th, 61st Mechanized Brigades and 56th Mechanized Infantry Brigade – are withdrawn to restore combat readiness and re-manning due to heavy losses.
🔻Why would the AFU hold the city at this price?
➖Bakhmut has an important symbolic meaning. Its loss immediately after Soledar would seriously affect the reputation of the AFU in the media and in the political arena.
➖ Maintaining the garrison makes it possible to slow down the further advance of the Wagner PMC units. While Russian troops are breaking through the AFU defenses, Kyiv is preparing new brigades for the spring campaign, including in the Bakhmut area.
🔻Is the enemy´s counteroffensive possible?
The AFU is preparing a second line of defense (Slovyansk - Kramatorsk - Kostyantynivka – Toretsk) and moving reinforcements with reserves. There are now at least 12 brigades concentrated at this line, as well as in Siversk (not counting Territorial Defense units), including the newly created 47th and 67th Mechanized Brigades.
Some units have already taken part in the battles for Bakhmut. These include the 17th Tank Brigade and the 28th Mechanized Brigade, as well as paratroopers from the 80th and 95th Air Assault Brigades, which are suffering heavy losses in the second line of defense.
🔻What can happen next?
In the absence of unified coordinated actions of the PMC and the Russian Defense Ministry, it will become increasingly difficult to hold the flanks against the AFU’s attacks.
North of Toretsk, units of the 28th Brigade and 5th Brigade, which had not actually been involved in active combat since the beginning of the battles for Kurdyumivka and Maiorsk, were being reinforced and regaining strength. In the event of a counterattack south of Bakhmut, they may also be thrown into combat.
For sure, the AFU’s position in Bakhmut is precarious, but delay or interdepartmental squabbles only play into the hands of the enemy. Victory is forged only through joint efforts.
