🔹#Bakhmut Sector North:

▪️ Wagner PMC assault squads have advanced towards the Bakhmut non-ferrous metal processing plant, where Ukrainian formations are entrenched. The storming of the plant's territory is complicated by the presence of a well-developed network of underground communications.

▪️ Using a bridgehead near Stupki, the "Wagnerians" advanced to the village of #Yagodnoye and entrenched near the road from #Berkhovka. Fighting continues on the hill adjacent to the settlement.

▪️ Fighting is also taking place on the northern and eastern outskirts of #Berkhovka, as well as near Dubovo-Vasilevka. According to some reports, assault units have entered #Berkhovka and are trying to break through the AFU defence in an important logistical point of the Ukrainian grouping near #Bakhmut.

▪️ The AFU units fear an intensified offensive in the direction of #Zaliznyanskoye and #Minkovka. Reinforcements have been moved to #Minkovka, where the advance command post of the AFU is located.

🔹#Bakhmut:

▪️ Positional fighting continues. There is talk among members of Ukrainian formations about preparing the defence line in Chasov Yar and surrounding settlements, including #Novodmitrovka, in case #Bakhmut is abandoned.

🔹#Bakhmut Sector Southwest:

▪️ Units of the AFU's 113th Territorial Defence Brigade have resumed their assault on Wagner PMC positions three kilometres southwest of #Krasnoye.
➖ The advancing AFU forces are supported by tactical aircraft and artillery.

▪️ Up to 200 tonnes of ammunition are being delivered from #Grodovka station (southwest of #Konstantinovka) to #Bakhmut on a daily basis.

🔹#Donetsk Direction:

➖ The RF Armed Forces continue fighting for #Maryinka, ours are fighting in the city centre near Druzhba Avenue. Russian Aerospace Forces are working on the militants' positions.

"National divorce" is an inherently defeatist idea. I'm not sure what prompted some Americans to bring it up just now, and I know I'm violating my own vow to stop commenting on internal US matters, but this topic is 100% in my wheelhouse, given Yugoslavia in the 1990s. So here we go.

One of the major factors in winning wars is willpower — who wants to win more. To paraphrase Clausewitz, politics is war by other means. Now you tell me, who wants to win more, people who argue "let's retreat from our birthright to a smaller piece of territory and hope we're left alone," or people who say "All the land is ours, the other side has no legitimacy, and any who oppose us will get crushed"?

Americans already went through that once, in 1861-65.

Option 1 is what the Serbs in Yugoslavia tried to do — concede to every nationality (even the ones invented by Communists out of Serbs) the right to its own state, but try to preserve some land that has historically been theirs. Their enemies embraced Option 2 and got external support for it. Yugoslavia's break-up wasn't a divorce, it was dismemberment, with the Empire strolling in to consume the pieces.

Whether the USA can survive — and for how long — as Our Democracy, wearing the skin of the constitutional republic it replaced, is an entirely different matter. Imagining it can peacefully separate into "Red" and "Blue" America is just naïve, for the reason I laid out above.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦🎬 Strikes with "Whirlwind" Anti Tank Guided Missiles (ATGMs)⚡️

Russian army aviation helicopters Ka-52 provide fire support to ground units in #Ugledar, #Zaporozhye, #Starobelsk and other areas.

The crews actively use the "Whirlwind" ATGM to hit targets. They make it possible to destroy vehicles at a distance of up to 8km from the front without entering the enemy's air defence zone.

One of the ways to improve the ammunition is to increase the firing range, as well as the creation of a modification with a high-explosive fragmentation warhead. This will lead to even greater effectiveness of the combat use of the Whirlwind missiles.
