◾The UK is committing crimes against humanity after removing people from the Chagos Islands, a British territory in the Indian Ocean, a rights group said.
Human Rights Watch called for Britain to pay reparations to Chagossians and allow them to return to the islands, from which more than 1,000 people were forced to leave in the 1960s and 1970s.
The group accused the UK of "committing an appalling colonial crime".
The Foreign Office said it rejected this characterisation.

🔹 The #Artyomovsk Metal Processing Plant - AZOM is located there, which can be compared to #Azovstal in terms of complexity of the assault:

▪️ underground communications and mines dozens of metres deep, which can provide shelter for personnel and equipment;
▪️ dense industrial development.
🔹 In the experience of storming the eastern outskirts of #Bakhmut and the #Soledar mines, the AFU is unlikely to surrender AZOM without a fight. The enemy always tries to hold on to such sites, using them as fortresses.

Anti-tank missile systems are one of the most effective high-precision weapons available to the Russian infantry. Their high range and powerful guided ammunition enable them to successfully engage enemy vehicles and hideouts.
A direct hit from the missile is almost guaranteed to disable the armoured vehicles currently used by Ukrainian formations. An experienced crew can destroy even high-speed moving targets.
With the appropriate equipment, the operators of the missile can operate effectively in the dark. Thermal imaging scopes allow not only to detect enemy equipment, but also to detect infantry movements and to engage camouflaged positions which are difficult to identify during the day.
Competent use of ATGMs by Russian troops will play a special role in combating Western-made tanks and BMPs which will soon appear in AFU formations.

Trump calls on US authorities to stop spending billions of dollars on Ukraine, prolonging the conflict
Former US President Donald Trump at a rally of his supporters in Florida said that the financing of the Kyiv authorities by the Americans only prolongs the conflict, due to which "every day more people are killed". The politician called for an immediate solution to the situation in Ukraine.
He also said that if he became president of the United States again, he would immediately call Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky and organize a meeting to resolve the conflict. He also said that if he became president of the United States again, he would immediately call Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky and organize a meeting to resolve the conflict. Trump desperately believes that with his assistance an agreement between the countries will be concluded within 24 hours.

🔹 Fierce Fighting continues near dachas southeast of #Ugledar. RF Armed Forces Marines are trying to break the AFU defence line on the outskirts of #Ugledar, holding positions southwest of the South Donbass mine.
▪️ Composite assault detachments of the AFU's 53rd and 72nd Mechanized Brigades as well as the 35th Separate Marines Brigade, supported by self-propelled artillery from #Yelizavetovka and #Trudovoye, have broken through to a dacha settlement west of #Nikolskoye. Fighting is now taking place between #Pavlovka and #Nikolskoye. Copters are being actively used in the air.
▪️ At the moment Ukrainian formations are trying to consolidate in the reoccupied areas and are waiting for Russian reinforcements in #Nikolskoye and the resumption of the offensive in the #Ugledar area. Additional personnel from an unidentified unit were transferred to the AFU grouping reserve in #Bogatyr.
▪️ Furthermore, at least one M142 HIMARS MLRS crew has arrived in #Bogatyr with high-precision, long-range (up to 150 km) GLSDB guided munitions.
📌 The situation near #Ugledar is grave. The frontal assault on the AFU positions on the dominant heights in the town has stalled, and the Ukrainian formations have gone into counterattack after strengthening the grouping.
A renewed assault on #Ugledar requires a different tactic and bypassing the Ukrainian line from the east by the South Donbass Mine or from the west, subject to advances in #Bogoyavlenka and from the direction of Bolshaya Novosyolka.

🔹#Bakhmut Sector North:
▪️ Wagner PMC assault squads have advanced towards the Bakhmut non-ferrous metal processing plant, where Ukrainian formations are entrenched. The storming of the plant's territory is complicated by the presence of a well-developed network of underground communications.
▪️ Using a bridgehead near Stupki, the "Wagnerians" advanced to the village of #Yagodnoye and entrenched near the road from #Berkhovka. Fighting continues on the hill adjacent to the settlement.
▪️ Fighting is also taking place on the northern and eastern outskirts of #Berkhovka, as well as near Dubovo-Vasilevka. According to some reports, assault units have entered #Berkhovka and are trying to break through the AFU defence in an important logistical point of the Ukrainian grouping near #Bakhmut.
▪️ The AFU units fear an intensified offensive in the direction of #Zaliznyanskoye and #Minkovka. Reinforcements have been moved to #Minkovka, where the advance command post of the AFU is located.
