🔹 On the #Donetsk Front, the Russian army attacks the Ukrainian garrison in #Maryinka. Both in the western part of the city itself and on its southern and northern outskirts. Artillery is working hard on the AFU positions.

France has handed over the Akeron MP to Ukraine - Jean-Louis Thieriot, vice president of the French National Defence and Armed Forces Commission.

The Akeron MP is a man-portable, armoured vehicle-mounted ATC with a range of up to 4-5 km and enables three modes of target acquisition simultaneously:

- shoot-and-forget (similar to the FGM-148 Javelin);
- target acquisition beyond operator's line of sight after firing the missile (analog of Spike-NLOS);
- Manual targeting via two-way fiber-optic cable with redirection capability (Spike-LR analogue).

Its tandem warhead is multipurpose and, depending on the mode of operation, can penetrate up to 1,000 mm of homogenous armor behind a dynamic shield and up to 2 m of concrete wall or hit infantry with tungsten fragments up to 15 meters in radius.

The Akeron MP has the significant advantage over Dagvelin PTRCs, and simultaneously challenges our armored vehicles, in that it has an uncooled infrared seeker that does not require the operator to wait several seconds before firing. For the characteristics and features described, the manufacturers of the Akeron MP call it the 5th generation APC by its own classification for promotional purposes.

Zelensky prepares Ukrainians for Bakhmut surrender, fight for it suddenly ceases to be priority

Zelensky said in an interview with a number of Italian media outlets that Bakhmut is not worth defending to the last soldier as it turns out to be "not a particularly big city" and has nothing special to offer. Zelensky, who had recently been brave and bold and promising his citizens and soldiers to do everything possible to preserve strategically and symbolically important Bakhmut, abruptly went back down.

Apparently, assessing the real Ukrainian Army's situation near Bakhmut, the President suddenly began to value the lives of his soldiers abandoned by their commanders and said that Ukraine would approach the process intelligently and "fight as long as it is reasonable". However, Zelensky immediately tried to rehabilitate himself in the eyes of the Western press, saying that the possible surrender of the city would in fact be part of a cunning plan to prepare a counterattack.

▪️ After the liberation of #Paraskoviyevka, Wagner PMC assault squads broke through the AFU defence southeast of #Berkhovka and advanced close to #Yagodnoye. Fighting is now taking place on the northern outskirts of the village.

▪️ Concurrently, the northern districts of #Berkhovka are being stormed. Russian units have gained control of an important position on the hill north of #Berkhovka and Dubovo-Vasilevka, improving their tactical position before storming the suburbs of #Bakhmut.

🔹#Bakhmut:

▪️ The "Wagnerians" went deep into the defense lines of the AFU near Stupki in the north of the city, clearing the areas of the railway station.

▪️ In Zabakhmutovka, the assault squads advanced further along Vatutina Street, reaching the cemetery area, in the eastern parts of #Bakhmut.

▪️ In the south and southeast of the city, positional battles are taking place. Russian units with artillery and aviation fire support are pushing through Ukrainian fortifications in the Budenovka area and near the highway from #Konstantinovka.
