Good afternoon! Bakhmut is in touch!
The situation in the city and its surroundings on February 17
1. In the north of the city in Paraskoviivka, fierce battles took place yesterday and during the night. Unfortunately, the enemy managed to advance deep into the settlement. The orcs' attack in the rear of our units in the direction of Berkhivka played its role.
2. Orcs are trying to force an offensive in the direction of Orikhove-Vasylivka and Dubove-Vasylivka. There are fierce battles with the use of all types of artillery. At night, one of the groups of orcs was destroyed during an attempt to advance to Orikhovo Vasilivka.
At the cost of heavy losses, the enemy will try to press the situation with Paraskoviivka and take it in the coming days. If successful, dirt roads in the north of the city in the direction of Sloviansk will come under physical and fire control, which will complicate the situation with logistics.
At the moment, our command has defeated the orks in the southwest near the Bakhmut-Kostyantynivka road. Everyone understood that we would try to make a counterattack there, but it still came as a "surprise" for the Orks.

🔹#Bakhmut Sector North:
▪️ Wagner PMC assault squads were able to advance deep into #Paraskoviyevka from the south at night due to the simultaneous attack on Berkhovka from both sides and the shackling of Ukrainian units.
▪️ Concurrently, a Russian advance towards Orekhovo-Vasilevka and Dubovo-Vasilevka, supported by artillery and MLRS, as well as by assault and army aviation, has begun.
▪️ Now the AFU is trying to hold back the line with all possible forces. In the next few days, armored personnel carriers from the #Ugledar site, which was in the reserve of the Ukrainian grouping, are expected to be deployed to the #Bakhmut area.
▪️ Furthermore, by 1 March, two battalions (about 800 men) from the newly formed 116th Mechanized Brigade of the recently created Army Corps are planned to be transferred by rail to #Krasnoye and #Bakhmut.
